Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (2012)
Plot: IMDB
Explores the secret life of the America's greatest president, Abraham Lincoln, and the untold story that shaped the nation. The future president discovers blood-thirsty vampires are planning to take over the United States. Lincoln makes it his mission to eliminate them, becoming history's greatest hunter of the undead.

Phantom's Review: First let me say Yes, I have read the book and I enjoyed it. Now Having said that let me say I thoroughly enjoyed the film. Even though there were many changes to the story and characters, I found the film to action packed, well acted and interesting. The actors do a fine job and it's nice to see a modern film trying to make vampires scary again. The film is beautifully shot and gives a look of an old style sepia tone photo. The middle portion of the film does get a little slow, but it picks up big time at the end with a major action piece. Overall a highly enjoyable action/monster movie.(Now if only they could figure out a story that combines Lincoln,Van Helsing, Blade and Buffy..now THAT would be a movie)

Scary True Stories: Ten Haunting Tales from the Japanese Underground (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0230305/)- This was akin to shows you see on American TV that re-enact "real life" ghost stories. It was pretty creeptastic. In the beginning you might be a bit bored but I feel it gets better as it goes on. Also, you get a nice blast from the past by watching this as it was shot in the 90's and some of the stories are from the 80's.

But I think the big event will be Tomorrow's SyFy Channel movie of the week "Bigfoot" with Danny Bonaduce from "The Partridge Family" and Barry Williams from "The Brady Bunch", Sherilyn Fenn from "Twin Peaks" with special guest appearances by Alice Cooper and Billy Idol! Might be the best SyFy movie yet!

Nailbiter (2012)

This low-budget indie flick got some potential. With fine camera works & some passable background scores, it maintained a decent level of suspense & atmosphere with a kind of 80s vibe throughout the movie. But as a "creature feature", the major disappointment was the creatures didn't get much of screen time as required; probably there was a budget issue. They only able to show the glimpse of the face & hands 1 or 2 times, not the full figure. Moreover, there were some plot holes, particularly about the background story of those Storm Creatures. And also the cast seems to be good at the beginning but they didn't deliver their best output, I guess. Otherwise, not a bad film at all. It was entertaining at some parts.

The premise was great but found most of the characters pretty weak & annoying. Quite reluctantly they let those 2 guys to take control of the situation & have the 'advantages or power' over them.

Agree but it'd fine to see 1 or 2 character(s) who at least try or take the initiative to do some things right or give a fight for the good & weak. And the success or failure of their attempt is another issue which may depends on the situation or support from the others etc. As long the story & the events are fictional...it won't be bad to have an irregular/unconventional or may be a regular/conventional 'good guy' character into the mix who at least make some effort do the things that's right or required when situation demands.
the part which i did not understand is why this movie made such a big deal about cutting up the corpses. everyone who has to cut up the corpse becomes a psycho maniac right away. i don't see any connection at all. it's not your gramma's corpse to be sensitive bout it for christ sake

I've been watching some of the Syfy weekend movies. Not completely like a normal movie but glancing off and on. I always thought they were bad. I'm pretty sure they are intentionally bad now. The most recent one was Bigfoot. It's strange how there are no rules in these movies. The monster just runs wild.

The Deadly Spawn (1982) saw this on the UK's horror channel and it was advertised as a video nasty by Emily Booth but I don't remember it making the list???Anyway this was an ultra gorefest alien invasion movie. It has a lot of references to the creature feature movies it was obviously inspired by. The acting is of course terrible and there's no real plot but there are some memorable scenes including some grannies accidentally eating one of the spawns and then complete carnage. Enjoyable fun.
Cassadaga (2011)Studios please make more inventive daring risk-taking horror like this. It is set in the titular town the "psychic capital of the USA". After a genuinely jaw dropping opening the movie continues about a killer who makes marionnettes of his victims. Plus it has Star Trek DS9's straight laced Bajoran Kai Louise Fletcher smoking spliffs and growing weed in her greenhouse which is hilarious. There's also a supernatural angle to the film and it works really well with the creative playing with the serial killer's victims. Gruesome and haunting. Recommended.

Stephen King's It
This really isnt that bad of a movie, i actually do like it but it doesn't do justice to the book. One thing i really hate about the movie is that they changed the ending adding fuel to the common misconception about IT just being a giant spider instead of that just being the form it took to fight them in the end.
I would like to see someone redo this and split it into two movies. One with the kids, the other with them as adults. That way you can spend more time with the story and get it right and not have to change so many things.
One thing i loved about the movie though was Tim Curry as Pennywise. He's awesome.

Sure, both title and story sounds cliche and the cover looks like crap.
And yes, it WAS cliche. But the first hour build-up actually worked out very well with enough strange stuff happening in the house to keep it entertaining. Then the female psychic turned up and it all went forgettable from there. Too bad.

Killer Klowns is one of my favorite movies but no one in their right mind could be freaked out by that movie. I really do want to see a serious, dark, all out murdering clown movie. I don't know if I'd be entertained by a John Wayne Gacy movie, I think I'd much prefer a more "haunted" feel over a "real life" feel.

I'm not really sure how to feel about this movie. I did enjoy it. It was fun and exciting and the acting and story was good but it just feels too soon for a reboot. I kept comparing it to the Sam Raimi one the whole time. They are very different though. This one veers away from the comics a whole lot especially the origin story.
It's still a good movie and i think Andrew Garfield is actually a better Spider Man than Tobey Maguire but not sure which one i like better.
There's a scene near the end of the credits too that is completely pointless. It basically informs you that theres going to be a sequel but doesn't let you know what its going to be about.

Killer Klowns is one of my favorite movies but no one in their right mind could be freaked out by that movie.
I've never been afraid of clowns growing up with Bozo but Killer Klowns From Outer Space was definitely unsettling. I think it was their teeth. I've come across a few people that were seriously deathly afraid of clowns. I wish I mentioned Killer Klowns to them. But I didn't remember at the time
Insanitarium.
When I see something with Peter Stormare playing a bad guy I tend to check it out. This started off fairly bad but turned into an ok zombie movie. It has a lot of middle of the road actors in it. Olivia Munn is in it too before she cut her hair and turned into a bad comedian/reality personality. She's not a bad actor in it at all. Although there is one funny scene where she's supposed to be running and it's obviously acting running not real running like Tom Cruise does in his movies.

I'm afraid of clowns. It took me years to watch Killer Klowns but when I did, I just thought it was hilarious. However, I can't see a picture of Pennywise without getting a chill up my spine. Killer Klowns has been the only clowns I've been able to laugh at save for ICP.

Killing Birds (1987) Ultraviolent gorefest supernatural zombie flick with a difference. The zombies here aren't interested in brains or flesh-they feast on fear and this leads to some impressively gruesome ends to the yuppie cast. Surprisingly creepy despite the cheesy music towards the start as the characters are introduced. Builts up nicely to a very sudden ending. Quality 80s horror but don't expect any hitchcockian plagiarism-here the zombies are the main threat though the birds do come into it at pivotal points. Definitely a nod towards Fulci's gates of hell trilogy (despite being released in Italy as Zombi 5 stupidly) but the zombies are different enough to make this movie stand up on it's own merits. A must-see for 80s Italian horror fans.

Get The Gringo (2011)
http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/g348/sanjidhdc/GTG.jpg
The Gringo (Mel Gibson) is convicted and sent to a Mexican prison for stealing money from a crime boss. As he learns his way through the town-like prison, he meets a 10 year old boy who is special because he has a rare blood type and a Mexican crime boss in the same prison needs his liver. It is up to the titular gringo to save the boy's life and break out of prison.
Though Gibson did good but it'd be better if the lead role would played an actor with more flair and charisma. Liked the unique setting of the prison...somewhat like one mess of a locality filled with criminals. Overall, it was a fine prison-action flick.

A pretty well made, atmospheric psycho-murder-mystery thriller from Turkey. There are 3 major twists at the end...first 2 were quite predictable that you can guess at the earlier parts of the film but the 3rd & last twist made the story worth to check out...bit disturbing but a fine touch indeed.

Boogeyman 2.
There are a trilogy of Boogeyman films. They aren't that good and barely connected to each other. They don't seem to have a strong grasp on what they want the Boogeyman to be. I still like the Halloween boogeyman. Also the animated Ghostbusters version.
I vaguely remember the first Boogeyman film it was so forgettable. I might have to see it again as I could have seen another version. Boogeyman 3, I only remember a few naughty shots of some girls in the opening and ending parts of the movie. Boogeyman 2 is by far the best in the series. Which isn't saying much. But it has some good death scenes. Especially the final one which is a Friday the 13th scene with a crazy twist.

One crazy ass, killer Baboon set loose & brutally attacks & kills a group of young scientists who were about to play a "Dungeons & Dragons" type role-playing game in a large scientific research building. The cast includes Christopher Atkins, Amanda Wyss & fantastic Roddy McDowell.

Much more likeable than the Raimi/Maguire trio.
Much closer to Spidey's comic book storytelling as well, although not without minor flaws of it's own, it's a tribute to his origins, with the whole story of Gwen Stacy giving Parker a solid background. (sorely missed in the Raimi trio)
The Lizard makes for a great villain as well, and the climactic moments have a sense of deja vu (shake them off, for both have borrowed generously from the comic books)
All in all, a superb entertainer in it's own right. And yes, a fantastic 3D cinematic experience as well.

Add another solid entry into the found footage sub-genre.
Critics and bashers be damned, this is actually a film which is much better than all the PA sequels combined.
Well fleshed out characters, excellent background premise, nicely paced narrative, and some really nice performances to boot.
The first 30-35 minutes were slow (even by mockumentary standards), but that could be called nitpicking. Not to mention minor narrative flaws, which don't sideline the pace at anytime.
And wow, that jaw-dropping climax! Most people hate it, but I personally liked it.
Stop making comparisons and enjoy this for what it's worth - a great film bogged down by too many expectations. I loved this film, and eagerly await it's sequel.

Wow! Unbelievable! Had very low expectation on it, because of that cheesy trailer, main cast & seemingly more "teenage audience" targeting approach as well as the whole untimely reboot. Thanks for the rec, looking forward to give it a watch asap.

If you are a fan of the comics, you will love this one more. Raimi's trio were more centered on action, whereas Webb has gone for a more humane approach to Spidey's origins. Plus Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy is a major highlight of the film. I would recommend it for a definite watch.

Do it. Sometimes second viewings change the perception of a film drastically. That is exactly how I came to appreciate Evil Dead 2 more than the original - my first watch of ED2 had left with me with a cheesy, unoriginal vibe. Today, I think I may have watched ED2 more times than ED.

Pretty disappointed with this one - The writing was awful; absolutely no subtlety to be found... The characters were unlikable (but I think you were supposed to like/sympathize with them, which made it a problem), and they constantly did (or didn't do) actions that made little sense. Interesting twist at the end; would have appreciated it more if the tension was believable and not silly.

"Fright Night" (2011)
-Colin Farrell Anton Yelchin
Plot: IMDB
A remake of the 1985 original, teenager Charley Brewster (Yelchin) guesses that his new neighbor Jerry Dandrige (Farrell) is a vampire responsible for a string of recent deaths. When no one he knows believes him, he enlists Peter Vincent (Tennant), a self proclaimed vampire killer and Las Vegas magician, to help him take down Jerry.
Phantom's Review: First, let me say, I'm a huge fan of the original. I saw it in the theaters back in the '80's and thought it was one of the most entertaining and original takes on the vampire concept. Full of interesting and likeable characters, fine FX and a great story.
Which brings me to the remake. If your a fan of the original...SKIP THIS WORTHLESS PIECE OF SHIT!
All the characters have been "re-imagined" and are now all thoroughly unlikeable. "Charlie" is now a self absorbed little shit. "Evil" Ed is just an obnoxious lout and worst of all is the "Peter Vincent" character, who is now just a foul mouthed and totally unlikeable figure.
Like so many remakes, this one doesn't hold a candle to the original. What a waste of time..

Krabat: The Sorceror's Apprentice (2008) German fantasy drama. Done very well with a polished production but definitely a coming of age movie in actual fact as the fantasy elements are secondary. Not enough sorcery and where there was some it was all allegory of peer group bonding and theatrical initiation (a la university). The most interesting character "The Gevatter" was kept mysterious which was a plus but on the whole it was a very unenjoyable, predictable, cop out of a film. It could have been truly exceptional if they took some risks instead of playing it timidly safe. If you like coming of age films and seeing a character going on a "journey" and other cliches you will lap it up though.

Chernobyl Diaries - 6/10
Don't go into this movie expecting anything new or special and you will probably enjoy it... I noticed a lot of critics ripped it apart but honestly I had fun watching it and would definitely see it again.
The Kill List - 6.5/10
Strange film... glad I saw it, yet I feel like I need to see it again to give it a better assessment. Would recommend it though if you like psychological thrillers that make you interpret a lot of what happens in the film instead of spelling it out to you.

Finally got around to seeing this movie and found it truly unsettling and unnerving. Utterly brilliant acting all around - Tilda Swinton as the overwrought mother is absolutely breathtaking and sad. This is a really well-done true "Bad Seed" movie - Kevin is horrifying and Eva, the mother, is both sympathetic and also despicable.
Seriously recommended. 4/5.

Have you not seen Shakes the Clown or Worlds Best Dad - both great films.
Neither.
Does he have a similar role in their production?
Have you seen GBA?
So I just saw the Dark Knight Rises.
I'll white-out my spoilers.
For the folks that haven't see it yet, my thoughts are mainly positive.
For me, it wasn't my favourite of the current series (I'm in something of a minority, mine is actually Batman Begins) but it was a solid entry.
I feel like it suffered from the same thing Kill Bill did, to an extent...it did feel like a closing. I think this would best be viewed as part of a marathon - I might do this next time.
"Batman in the Daytime"...it's so strange to see...and while holding the overall tone of the film quite well, it didn't really feel like "Gotham" in atmosphere?
The plot was not bad, and the new characters were for the better part, likable.
The fight/s between Batman and Bane were great.
I think it's a very well done film and I'd be hard pressed to find too much wrong with it.
Spoiler bits for those that have seen it...
So it was the autopilot Bruce Wayne "fixed" yes?
Why do you folks think he went with "dying" though...I would say that it's in order to have a true "redemption" in the eyes of Gotham, kind've cemented Batman ad the "legend who saved the city".
I didn't mind Levitt as the cop/Robin. I don't think he'll ever BE "the" Robin, but from the look of it, if the reboot continues in this universe we may see him as a temporary (or even permanent?) replacement/addition to Batman.
I liked how they portrayed him though, quite a lot - he was just a really genuinely good person.
Bane - done better, of course.
Though I have to say while being stoned off some great green edibles, all I kept thinking was "he's doing Sean Connery really over the top"
He was a suitable threat.
The Talia connection was great - a genuine twist I didn't see coming and while it was VERY "Talia" (for fans of the comic incarnation) it was not very "Bane".
Don't get me wrong, I thought this version of the storyline was great, and as much as I enjoyed it, I couldn't help but think they'd done Bane as though he were a henchman, yet again. This was slightly disappointing.
I mean we got better than we did last time. I guess that's a win.
Kind of a nice story between villains too.
Overall guys, it was worth seeing big-screen - just make sure you take a huge piss before you go in and consume your drinks very slowly.
More like survival mode.
Hopefully this bullshit tragedy that's been born on opening night doesn't completely threaten the future of the Batman film franchise.
I also hope that the "reboot", if it's continuing in the same universe will pay more respect to Nolans work than Joel Schumacher gave to Burtons vision.
Speaking of I'd really like to see Hm "the other guy" developed further in this universe.
I also think the character "HUSH" would be right at home in this universe.

I liked the basic story in this one. Jason heads home, wonders who the fuck all these people are and starts killing. My only comment on is this movie is that obviously by the title someone at some point had meant for this to be the last one. If that had been true, it would have been a pretty pathetic way to end the series and Jason himself. Although Jason Goes To Hell was a pretty terrible way to end it too.

It was definitely a fun watch considering a zombie outbreak-like film but as a part of REC. franchise it quite significantly lacks the intensity & thrill of first 2 films. Though it wasn't an issue but just FYI, this is the 1st film in the series where they use the POV format only for the first 15 to 20 minutes then filmed the rest like a regular movie. Yeah...there are some clues about its particular 'outbreak' but the mystery & the shock value which they nicely carried in the first 2 parts are almost absent here. Disappointed to say but to me, this is more of a zombedy than a REC film.

I remember having a conversation with my brother awhile back that i hadnt seen a really epic movie any more. The kind that just seems big and important.
Well i just saw one.
This was incredible. The perfect way to end the trilogy. So much is tied in with the other previous films that instead of it just being the third and last, it encompasses everything.
I had some complaints at first though. There were parts in the beginning that dragged and there were a lot of new characters and at points it didnt even feel like a Batman movie but once you get to the end, you can see that all the parts that dragged were just good story building. The characters were all done well unlike bloated movies like Spiderman 3 and i absolutely loved the ending. I can't think of a better way for them to end it.

It starts off really well, with an interesting and novel premise, and builds up into a superbly decent film. Even though low key and shot throughout one particular night, it builds up plenty of atmosphere and suspense and maintains it pretty well throughout. There's enough gore to satisfy the gorehounds as well, 1-2 scenes pretty cringeworthy.
All in all, a nice little low budget effort which could very well turn out to be a under-appreciated gem of the genre.

"The Dark Knight Rises" (2012)
-Christian Bale
Plot: IMDB
Eight years on, a new terrorist leader, Bane, overwhelms Gotham's finest, and the Dark Knight resurfaces to protect a city that has branded him an enemy.
Phantom's Review: I've been a Batman fan/collector for about 45 years now. I've seen the character go through many, many changes in those years. Funny live action series, badly animated Saturday morning cartoons, Epic size Gothic motion pictures, brilliant animated series and several things in between, but in my opinion I don't think I've ever seen anything as awesome as "The Dark Knight Trilogy" and the final film in the series, "The Dark Knight rises" is absolutely brilliant.
Great acting, excellent action scenes, great FX and above all a wonderfully written script. I liked how this film brings all three films together and takes it to a entertaining conclusion. And Anne Hathaway looks damn good in that Catwoman outfit.
A great film.

I didn't like that Eva sacrificed Mickey to get away. Sam i understand, he was a coward and an idiot. But Mickey's worst crime was holding out food on them and considering they were all a bunch of lunatics i understand that. Mickey trusted Eva telling her where the gun was and even how to get out. Sure he could've been doing that for his own safety but still he wasnt a bad guy. He was a sad tortured man who lost his wife and daughter in 9-11 (I'm speculating since it wasn't outright said) and there was no real need to let him die. I get that her trust was pretty well shot by that point but Mickey was the only one i liked.
That final shot was really harrowing. She gets through all that only to discover that the world is gone and there's nowhere to go.

The Last Broadcast (1998) Found the first half of this mockumentary to be almost unwatchable due to the pathetic performances of the "non actors". But what kept me watching was this underrcurrent of dread and the surreal side of technology.
It is extremely effective at slowly building up the mystery and kept me guessing right up to the end. The atmosphere created and the suspense is the kind that truly absorbs the viewer without them feeling manipulated or scratching their heads after it finishes (it makes sense and quite shocking at how possible it is).
It is thought provoking in a way that gets the viewer thinking of larger questions that stay with you after you've seen the end. Overall its rare that a film can be genuinely original (this came out before The Blair Witch Project which unfortunately stole its thunder) and surprising in how brave it is for broadening the mind of the viewer and taking you to such a dark place. Despite a pretty lame start it is definitely worth sticking with. Highly recommended. Essential viewing.

Yes, it starts off with a double cross after a heist, which is a pretty interesting premise.
Just finished watching it. Decent flick. Definitely B-grade. Wasn't crazy about the end.
I agree with both of you - the ending was a bit of an eye-roller (honestly, a grenade exploding inside a plane and the plane wasn't blown to bits?, and that last transmission which said about the plane being flown all the way back to the base with the pilot in a "dazed" state?) but overall it was a pretty decent film. Much better than the contemporaries around that time (heck even better than most of the ones we have these days).
I like the way how they leave only hints about the farmer and his two sons (?) and what could possibly be the secret behind the scarecrows. And that whole sequence of the robbers getting offed and coming back, behaving perfectly normally. Specially the one at the end. Good stuff.
Promising film. They could have polished off the edges and gave it a better ending (the plane exploding and the debris falling near the fields, giving rise to more scarecrows, a chilling end) and it could have been a gem of a film. As it is, it's pretty good by itself IMO.

Pretty good indie effort considering the low budget. The high point is the use of live characters with makeup as ghosts instead of some cheap gimmicky CGI.
Personally, I liked it and would toss it a rec. Thanks again, Angra.

The Woods (2006) Reasonable supernatural horror that stars Bruce Campbell in a minor role (better than just a cameo at least). There's nothing really original going on but it is reliably atmospheric and mysterious. The plot is derivative of other films and the CGI woods are at first very wooden and not even remotely creepy. Things do improve though markedly towards the end and the characterization is ok but not thorough, I would have liked to have seen more of the motives of the characters explained. A safe watch.

Yeah, I found that movie just to be OK, probably because I loved McGee's May so much - Have you seen it? Highly recommend.

*SIGH* - Catching up on this thread is giving me a LOT of movies that I want to watch... But Netflix doesn't have the collection of indie horror that it used to. You're making me jealous. :(

Probably would have liked this more if I hadn't seen the 2009 Swedish version first, which I thought was very good. That being said, I thought that Rooney Mara was a GREAT Lisbeth (who I totally want to DO right now), though I thought Daniel Craig to be a little stiff.
I don't know - Maybe the movie tried to cover too much but I felt as though it was missing something - Can't really put my finger on it (could just be that I liked the 2009 version so much that I felt as though watching this was just "going through the motions" and waiting for plot points to unveil themselves). And, is it me, or did they not explain the significance of the dried flowers at the end? They are, after all, what kicks off the movie... The explanation in the 2009 version was great I thought.
Anyhoo - I thought it just OK, but probably because it was overshadowed by the other version. Probably going to watch the other movies in the series right now. :D

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v623/Chronogrl/gile_who_played_with_fire.jpg
Hmmm - I'm going to be honest. I really liked the the first movie in this series - Not only was there the compelling character in Lisabeth but there was also a really compelling story - It was a damn good mystery/thriller. But Girl Who Played with Fire just doesn't have as engaging a story, which doesn't really give Lisbeth much of a chance to be a badass (which, COME ON is the reason why I tuned into this)... I DO like that you get a glance at Lisbeth's past, but I was hoping that that would be revealed through another well-done mystery/thriller. The ending was OK though I probably would have been pissed had I seen it in the theater as it's obviously queuing up for the third film.
Also, the pacing is AWFUL - I was... kinda bored throughout. :-/

The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1343097/) (2009)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v623/Chronogrl/hornets_nest.jpg
Man, with exponentially exciting titles you would THINK that Lisbeth's tale would just get more and more thrilling... But... No... While the movie focuses on Lisabeth's past, there's still no real interesting story to propel it forward. We're set with a rather complex Conspiracy tale with rather lame Big Bads. Not to mention, Lisabeth spends the movie either in the hospital or in jail so there aren't any badass moments for her to be seen. And Michael Nyqvist as Mikael Blomkvist was just plain flat in this film.
I have to say that I'm incredibly disappointed in the latter two thirds of this trilogy; I was hoping that there would be two more tales of Lisbeth's badassery, but the stories are boring and don't really give her an opportunity to show off her awesomeness as in the first movie. Maybe the books are better? Dunno; haven't read them.

I didn't dislike it, the cloak and dagger aspects of it are really well done but I suspect some film noir fans may be disappointed by it, it lacked (to me anyway) the excitement and thrill of the best classic and modern film noirs.

The Tall Man (2012)
http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/g348/sanjidhdc/thetallman.jpg
It'd be somewhat difficult to talk about this movie without spoiling the plot. But I'll try not to. To me, it was one of the year's anticipated movies as it comes from the director of 2008 French masterpiece Martyrs...Pascal Laugier. No doubt, the guy is a great filmmaker who again comes with an original idea and delivers almost perfectly. And this time it becomes one of those kind of movies that turns out very different than the anticipation after watching the trailer or reading about the basic storyline or plot synopsis. I think in case of responses from the most genre fans, initially the film will suffer for the way they campaigned or promoted it as some sort of Boogeyman or Jeepers Creepers kind of flick. But this is more of a solid-dark thriller than Horror. After a decent build up & fine first half, it started to open up with its core content which leads the viewer to a bit shocking but questionable final revelation that may not be appreciated by the audience. Moreover, there were some plot holes that needed some answers & careful treatment. Jessica Biel (TCM remake) was great & gives a convincing performance.
Overall, I'm not sure about the others but I liked it, an interesting thriller.

The Tall Man
http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g432/Travis_Lake/The-Tall-Man1.jpg
This wasn't what i was expecting at all. I've been interested in this movie since i heard about it but i thought it was going to be more of a supernatural urban legend type movie. Luckily thanks to Roshiq's review, i had a heads up that it wasn't like that but i still feel disappointed.
There's some pivotal plot points that just come out of nowhere and the story and the characters weren't developed enough for it to make sense at that point and i just wound up confused. By the end everything makes sense but ultimately i didn't like it. Honestly it's not a bad movie, it has a good feel to it but there's really nothing creepy about it.
I think the movie hurts itself by misleading the audience and not just in the information for the movie but in the opening sequence as well.
Overall i wish i could say i liked this movie but unfortunately i can't.
