Digging Up the Marrow 2015

A horror movie film maker receives some information from a man who claims to know there are real monsters and where they are. Its shot in documentary film style.

The main character Adam Green is played by...Adam Green. I'm assuming he's not playing himself, if he is he's a fair sized asshole. But I believe its acting and done well. The opening of the film is talking to various people at a horror con(s?) about why they like monsters. I think this takes away from the film. The feel of the segment doesn't match up with the rest of the film.
The acting is decent, again Adam Green doing a very good job of bring an unpleasant person. Ray Wise is also very good as the person who brings the story to Adam Green. Mostly the film is entertaining, but I found myself wanting the film to stop focusing on Adam Green's reactions to everything. While his character is played well, its too much of someone you're not meant to like. I do not want to say much because the premise is a man wants to prove there are monsters and anything I might say could indicate if it ends up being true, a hoax, a little of each, etc. Its worth at least one watch, I'd recommend it. $3.99 at www.vudu.com.

6/10

I agree with you Boss. It is worth a watch. I disagree with you on some points ( I thought Adam Green gave an awful performance) but I do think horror fans will enjoy the concept, as well as some of the creature designs. There were times Digging Up the Marrow looked like a "backyard filming with buddies project",but I suppose it was in many ways so that's forgivable. The story could have been stronger and certainly a bit more elaborate, but for the most part, yeah I'd say your 6 of 10 rating is pretty fair. I am a pretty big Adam Green fan so there is a chance that my thoughts are a little slanted, of course.

Yeah it looks great. I think i'll watch it tomorrow.

Ok Exeter was awful. I made it half way through. Generic characters. The blonde who loses her shit, the muscular guy who's overly aggressive, the geeky friend, and so on. And they're not doing an ode to horror films like Cabin in the Woods so instead its just old and tired. The acting is bad, the dialogue is bad, and yet again people thinking if they shoot in a rundown/abandoned building it'll make the movie good. No.

Altered (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0457275/) – From the co-creator of Blair Witch project, here is a film about alien abductees. But, I promise you, it's not as lame as it sounds. Director Eduardo Sanchez takes the story of a group of redneck friends who, a few years earlier were abducted by aliens but now, in the present have captured one of them an are exacting their revenge. This description hardly gives it justice. The characters are interesting, compelling, and legitimately earn the pathos of the watcher. What I find amazing about this film is that, at no point, did I find myself saying questioning my suspension of disbelief; I was able to suspend my belief entirely, even despite what seems to be a ridiculous plot. This movie is dark, well-written, and well-acted. Some good jumps, some good blood, and overall recommended.

Altered (2006)

C+ 6/10

Took chronogrls recommendation. Fun little creature film. Nice production value. An Evil Dead 2 tone - funny tongue-in-cheek seriousness. I would have liked it to dig deeper into the personal interaction between the men and the alien, as it plots a revenge motive without diving into the anything substantially emotionally personal. As a result one gets the impression the film is holding back and staying shallow. There's really no torture, no revenge and no catharsis.

A van carrying a female roller derby team runs out of gas right in front of an abandoned asylum. In the asylum, one of them is attacked by an almost feral young woman. Bodies with the eyes removed start piling up while they try to figure what has happened to the girl. The ending pretty much sucked.

Para Elisa, 2015.

http://videos.starmedia.com/imagenes/2013/03/para_elisa_3.jpg

IMDb;Para Elisa is a terrifying story based on a simple, innocent children's game. Something that looks naive and harmless turns into the worst nightmare, into the struggle to escape a tragic and expected end, into an explicit and inevitable horror.

I don't know what children's game they are talking about?!?!

Very brutal and sick storyline but they really didn't take it anywhere. I really wanted to accentuate on the insanity that consumed this family. It ended abruptly.

I really used to like James Bond...and while the last one with Brosnan felt like it lost direction a little bit...these movies were just fun.

The Daniel Craig movies, to me?
They're just not James Bond movies.
They are movies with a guy called James Bond in them, and in their own right they're ok films...just...not what I want.

I wonder if maybe one day there'll be something more like a fusion of the two.

GoldenEye is one of my favorite Bond flicks. Yeah...TND & TWINE were fun & watchable but DAD was one of the terrible 007 films ever, IMO.

About Craig films....I really love Casino Royale, though it was a great comeback for Bond in contemporary / modern era & really a fantastic addition for a change than any other usual bond flicks. Loved its gritty, less action but more serious approach in terms of an espionage thriller. But yeah...QOS not only comes with a weird title but totally a misfire as a Bond flick.
And as for your 'fusion of the two'...I thought SKYFALL kind of falls in that category. Really looking forward to see SPECTRE as soon as it hits the theater here.

This is a few days overdue. I had a busy weekend.

The Walk (2015)

Robert Zemeckis' signature visual style and proclivity for bio-pics seemed perfect for a movie like The Walk, a film that manages to boast an interesting and entertaining story and dizzying cinematography. The Walk is based on the story of the real-life high wire artist Philippe Petit in 1974. Inspired by a circus he saw at a young age, Philippe begins planning an incredibly ambitious -- and highly illegal -- show in which he hangs a wire across the Twin Towers and walks across them. A majority of the story is dedicated to Petit gathering accomplices to help with the coup, practicing for the extreme conditions and planning how they will rig the wire. The clever writing allows you to connect with every character and understand why they're trying to attempt this impossible dream. The last 45 minutes or so is where "the walk" actually happens. The scenes of Petit and co rigging the wire are just as tense as the wire-walking scenes, which are accented by some of the best cinematography of the year. The cinematography is really the star of the movie here. The shots panning down towards the ground make the towers almost look endless, and it adds so much tension to the walking scenes. The Walk is a stylish and entertaining look at one of the biggest artistic feats of the last century, and you need to watch it in IMAX 3D.

Demonic 2015

People go to a house that was the location of a mass murder 25 years previous. They're all ghost hunters except one person who's having nightmares about his mother in the house. The film goes back and forth between the lead up to entering the house, what goes on there, and the police investigation soon after.

Acting is average. Cinematography is average. Some things happening in the film seem to have been put in there to be 'scary' and 'cool' while having little relation to the story. Also stupid people doing stupid things. The police investigation was done well.

4.5/10 I can't recommend it, but its an ok film if you want something that won't unnerve you, but slightly entertain.

I was anticipating intense. It wasn't. It's very watchable and we had fun with a pretty involved crowd, but it didn't pack the punch I was expecting. It's a rare film that I say would benefit from being a found footage flick, but Green Inferno is one movie that would have amped up the emotion if we could be more immersed in the drama. Anyway, I liked it. I got a few " whoa" moments out of it and some laughs as well.

Overall it's entertaining stuff!

Matariki 2010

A film using four loosely connected stories about birth and death. Takes place in present day New Zealand, I think in Auckland? The characters are mostly of Maori descent. Matariki's a name for a constellation associated with the Maori new year.

The film is alright, fairly sad, but not in a depressing sort of way. death and rebirth and all that. The film was more like an extended pilot for a tv show than a single film. Worth a watch, just realized you might have a few tears occur while watching.

I wouldn't have bothered me if the overtal tone of the movie was serious.
But in this case I thought it didn't mix well with the comedy.

The first bad review I've heard about this one. I'll be checking it out as soon as I can.

Watched Seed of Chucky again last night. Kills me every time! John Waters showing up in this just puts the biggest smile on my face. " God bless the little people "

Gonna agree 100% on this. If you're gonna spoof or pay homage to 80s horror....it has to be rated R.

Laughed out loud several times.
I guess it gets so much bad reviews because people expect something more similar to the original series.
But that's what you get when you attach known movie franchises to new movies that don't really need it and aren't that similar to the originals.

...I've never been discouraged in less than five seconds into a movie before.
After the initial shock of 'horse broke its leg', I was fine watching it. Cowboys and Werewolves. That's a good time. Story was fine. Some characters were entertaining, rest were bland as bread. Werewolf looked good, I always approve of a suit and traditional effects.

Yeah I liked the ending too, but I also did not like what caused it.

Spoiler for Odd Thomas:

I liked the dynamic between thomas and his girlfriend, her dying ruined that aspect and took away from the film. I realize it was required for him to have to go through his mourning period while she was a ghost, but I'd rather it have been someone else who died. Not as in her dying was powerful/effective, but a back and forth important to the the charcter of the film itself.

I hate to be that guy, but did you read the books? This is one of the few book adaptations I have seen that is actually damn near dead on accurate. Like scene for scene damn near perfect. The movie was excellent. The only thing that's strange that they left out was something I would think would have been easy to make part of the movie was Elvis's ghost. Its actually a huge part of the book that Elvis's ghost stays with him for a large chunk of the story and in the movie he was reduced to a cardboard cutout in Odd's apartment. Otherwise A++++ movie.

This wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Fuckin' CGI when applied into films fucks everything up, then throw in some 'comedy' elements. ::mad:: If you can't give a film a FX without using CGI..don't do it. Every computer generated effect could have been left out or in some cases practical could have been used. Cut away editing, in that I mean..gonna scoop a guys eye out, cut away..show the scene that was filmed at another time, cut back to said eye in persons mouth. No good. Ahh, fuck it.

The Diabolical 2015

Husband died. Son acting out. Mom having major financial problems. Scary shit happening in their home.
Dislike CGI? This film has some really great prosthetics. The elements that could be done by CGI, not familiar enough to say, work very well. Seems more like they used filming tricks than computer created graphics.
The story unfolds piece by piece and I was able to pick up on hints to understand the story before things happen, but not in an annoying way or having to work to find the hints, thus taking you out of the movie.
Acting is average. It was also to nice to see someone of, Indian?, heritage not playing a doctor or terrorist. Characters not being type-cast by race/ethnicity make me happy.

What you figure out and is explained towards the end is not something you expect to happen in the first half of the film. Somethings didn't fit, but most of it worked well.

5.5/10. Keep in mind I'm hard to please so that's a high rating. I'd recommend it. I also suggest not watching the trailer, but if you want some idea then just watch 15 seconds. I didn't watch further and it might end up ruining the end of the story.

"Turbo Kid" (2015)
Plot: IMDB
In a post-apocalyptic future, THE KID, a young solitary scavenger obsessed with comic books must face his fears and become a reluctant hero when he meets a mysterious girl named APPLE. Despite their efforts to keep to themselves, ZEUS, the sadistic and self-proclaimed leader of the Wasteland, plagues THE KID and APPLE. Armed with little more than blind faith and an ancient turbocharged weapon, THE KID learns of justice and friendship and embarks on an incredible journey to rid the Wasteland of evil and save the girl of his dreams.

Phantom's Review:
There are some movie's that are bad, but fun and there are some movies that are just plain bad..and then there's "Turbo Kid" . A film that is absolutely amazing in it's awfulness. It's the kind of film, that after it's over. you get up and open a window to let the stink out. Bad on every level, but not even funny bad, just BAD. A waste of time.

Crimson Peak (2015)

Misleading advertising has ruined many a movie, and unfortunately, Crimson Peak is another victim of poor marketing. Trailers made the movie out to be similar to recent scare fests like The Conjuring when it is actually more Gothic and romantic like Sleepy Hollow or Bram Stoker's Dracula. With all that being said, Crimson Peak is a very engaging and creepy film. Crimson Peak is about a woman named Edith, whose heart is stolen by a stranger who leaders her to a mysterious mansion atop a hill of blood-red clay, but she quickly learns that the house and her lover hold dark secrets. What may disappoint horror fans is that this movie isn't very scary. Apart from a great deal of dread and a couple of nail-biting sequences, Crimson Peak is not a horror film. Edith describes this film perfectly when she is describing a manuscript she wrote: "It's not a ghost story; it's a story with ghosts in it." It's a beautifully filmed, sexual, violent Gothic romance. There are great performances from the entire cast, with Mia Wasikowska and Jessica Chastain giving standout performances, but the best character in the film is the house itself. The mansion's elaborate and darkly beautiful design make it one of the most memorable haunted houses in film, and every single shot of it is like a piece of art. Del Toro paints such stunning imagery in Crimson Peak that you could pick any frame from the movie and hang it as an art piece. He directs each actor and shot with grace and elegance that it makes up for the film's rather predictable plot. Crimson Peak isn't Del Toro's horror masterpiece as some people were expecting, but it is a beautifully crafted work of Gothic fiction that should be a suitable diversion just in time for Halloween.

Didn't get why the other 2 were so freaky looking? were there complications in the process of teleportation with time travel? But that "Flesh one" was kinda really cool & creepy...expected it'd play a bigger role at the end.

More spoilers for The Diabolical:

Yeah I believe they were two attempts that failed, but were somehow stuck. Or possibly the flesh one was more than one attempt, but all with the same result. Yeah I wanted more of the first two. I do not see why they did not use them more. I think some sort of hint was also in the use of a flesh casing they pulled off of their heads.

'Mr. Holmes' (2015)
-Ian McKellen

Plot: IMDB
The story is set in 1947, following a long-retired Holmes living in a Sussex village with his housekeeper and rising detective son. But then he finds himself haunted by an unsolved 30-year old case. Holmes memory isn't what it used to be, so he only remembers fragments of the case: a confrontation with an angry husband, a secret bond with his beautiful but unstable wife.

Phantom's Review:
If your a fan of big budget, action packed special FX blockbusters, then do yourself a favor and don't watch this. If you like, smaller, brilliantly acted dramas, an intriguing mystery and good story, then settle in and watch 'Mr. Holmes'.
Ian McKellen is marvelous as the aged Sherlock Holmes living out his twilight years in the English countryside. The film deals with many concepts. What it's like to old, memories fading, regrets and how one deals with loss as you get older. The film also has an interesting mystery at it's core, that is told in flashbacks. In fact, there several flashbacks that tell different points in the story. This is a character piece and it's told at it's own speed. I enjoyed this film tremendously and I am a life long Holmes fan. If you are too, then watch it. you'll enjoy it.

It's clear to see director Kevin Greutert (Jessabelle) knows how to make horror movies, coz everything about the production is top notch. Just one big problem. The Story. It just drags, and drags, and drags only accompanied by occasional atmospheric build-ups leading to nothing except for a few cheap jump scares. At least Jessabelle had glimps of originality in the story. This one doesn't.

Puppet Master 4

...did I post here I saw 3... oh well I saw that too. I swear they're doing a roulette of plots for these. First two were fairly consecutive, third was a flashback, and fourth is back in the present I guess but they don't seem to be pissed off at Toulon anymore?

There's also so much wrong with the continuities. In the second movie Tunneler was dead, in this one he wasn't. In the first movie the Jester was the last puppet Toulon ever made, in the third one it was made before even hook hand guy (i don't know his nickname). Six Shooter was in both the third and fourth but where was he in the first two? Leech face was apparently Toulon's wife but why was he trying to summon her into a full size puppet then in the end of the second one... Just a bunch of confusing continuity screw ups. I don't see how they had so many sequels.

"The Hallow"/"The Woods" 7-8/10

Ever since I saw the movie poster on the front page of IMDB titled as The Woods I kinda hoped this would be the horror movie to beat this year coz the story sounded sweeet. Sadly, it's not quite. You have to wait almost half the movie before the shit hits the fan, but when it does creatures pops out everywhere and the action doesn't stop before the credits starts to roll. The creatures are well made and the fx are nice.

My biggest problem was the mom. Her actions (or lack thereof) pissed me off. Also when the action begins the story kinda falls flat.

There ya go. See it and judge for yourself.

Loved it! Great gothic atmosphere and sets. Great talent on screen and behind the camera and all are at the top of their game. Tough to pull off some of the histrionics and uber dramatic bits, but the whole ensemble nail it.
I have a feeling this will disappoint fans looking for a horror movie or a startling paranormal adventure. It's a gothic romance, as Guillermo Del Toro has pointed out often, so it has elements of horror but it's not your standard genre film.

See it on the big screen, cuz this one is done on a pretty grand scale.

More of a road movie than horror. I'm sure we all would've prefered it the other way around. But that doesn't take away that everything, from the actors to the production, was class. It even had funny dialogue from time to time. Only thing missing was Val Kilmer playing a doctor and we'd have ourself a Tombstone with cannibals. DOESN'T THAT SOUND AWSOME?!!

SyFy channel movie. A bunch of students dressed like the cast of 90210 open up a portal to hell. At least I assume so, I couldn't take more than 30 minutes. Acting, bad. Story, bad. Sets bad. This film steals scenes and themes from various movies, altering them a little so as, I assume, not to be too close to the original. Silent Hill, The Shining, Evil Dead, etc. Its not a homage, its using them to write a story instead of something original.

Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension (2015)

After two years of its release date being pushed back further and further, Paranormal Activity fans can finally see the alleged ending to one of the longest running ghost franchises of this generation. If this will truly end the series is definitely up for debate, but I think it did answer the big questions pretty well. The sixth Paranormal Activity takes place a few years after Paranormal Activity 4 and, like the previous two sequels, involves a new cast of characters, the Fleeges: Ryan, his wife Emily, their daughter Leila, Ryan's brother Mike, and their friend Skylar. You can guess what happens next: rich white family moves into a house, weird stuff happens, then demons. But every PA movie has their own gimmick, and that's where the "spirit camera" comes in (or whatever it's called). This camera can actually see ghosts and demons, so we can actually see Toby. It's an interesting idea, and it's generally used pretty well throughout the film. It's probably one of the better gimmicks in the series, although I don't think anything could rival the rotating fan cam from part 3. Because we can actually see the activity through this camera, The Ghost Dimension is probably the flashiest and definitely the most effects-driven Paranormal Activity flick. The special effects look pretty good for a low budget movie like this, even though there are a couple of cheesy CGI shots towards the end. Unfortunately, the scares are obviously the result of being the sixth movie in a franchise, as most of them miss rather than hit. The static shots are still rather effective, but those can only go so far in terms of scare factor. Something else that somewhat disappointed me was how short this movie felt. I didn't think this movie was rushed at all; it just felt incredibly short. Maybe because it was more fast paced than the other movies, or maybe because this Paranormal Activity only took place over 8 nights instead of the nearly 20 the other films chronicled. That didn't make the movie bad so much that it just bothered me. The Ghost Dimension ended the series on a reasonably satisfying note, but it's time for the activity the come to an end.

In the aftermath of a family tragedy, an aspiring author is torn between love for her childhood friend and the temptation of a mysterious outsider. Trying to escape the ghosts of her past, she is swept away to a house that breathes, bleeds - and remembers.

Phantom's Review: I gotta admit, I was a bit disappointed with this film. It's definitely NOT a bad movie, It's beautifully filmed, great atmosphere, fine acting from the whole cast and some truly marvelous set design, the only problem...it isn't the least bit scary. The film is more along the lines of a psychological thriller that just happens to have a couple of ghosts in it. I was expecting a few more BOO! scenes and the film just didn't have them. Like I said, it's not a bad movie at all and had been expecting this kind of story, I probably would have liked it more, but wanting a good Halloween scare, I came away wanting. It's worth watching on DVD,but nothing more.

Just wanted to put this here...

Yet del Toro does not consider “Crimson Peak” a horror film — he repeatedly refers to it as a gothic romance. Talk to him about influences, and he’s more likely to cite Henry James than Stephen King. “Gothic romance is a curious little beast,” he notes. “It’s a mix between the atmospherics of a fairy tale or a horror movie and a love story that reveals the darker side of love.”

Wanna see something reeeeally scary? Like mind-blowingly horrific?

After 30 minutes I had to turn it off. At that time I felt raped. Raped by Kirk Cameron, Jesus Christ, God, Santa Claus and especially writer/director Darren Doane. I hope that guy never gets to make a movie ever again. If I wanted someone to force christianity down my throat this badly I'd have to shoot myself.

FA is one of my new favorites! The found footage thing was unexpected to me too, but I think it worked well. I was just blown away with all the fucked up monstrosities that Frankenstein created. Lost Time 2014

So the image above does not do describe very well the movie. You will see it in the film, but there's a lot more to this film than a sci/fi horror movie.

The story is a woman is dying from cancer. Her sister is taking care of her. On a drive back from a doctor's office and/or hospital the car they're in dies. So they're stopped. And then something happens. The dying sister wakes up to find her sister gone. The majority of the film is her searching for answers. Watching this film I kept expecting it to follow a certain sequence, but it does not. And what happens is sort of strange in what themes are mixed into the story. Sometimes it felt like a Lifetime channel movie, sometimes definitely a horror flic, then a thriller, then well more stuff that mentioning would ruin the story. I suggest watching it. Its not something I'd watch again, but it was worth it to see something done differently.

In C related news. Krampus from Michael Dougherty (Trick 'R' Treat) is rated PG-13. Doesn't mean it's a bad movie but I expected an R-Rating for a movie about a child abducting/eating C demon.
And there's still Kevin Smith's movie to look forward to.
Comes The Krampus, now retitled Anti-Claus.
Smith says "When I was a kid, if they wanted to make a Christmas horror movie, they’d stick an axe in Santa’s hands. In Anti-Claus, we leave Santa alone and creep with the Krampus through twisted tales of holly-jolly murder, desire, desperation and despair. Just in time for the holiday season.”

I was a rebel twat growing up, didn't like the C word, didn't like birthdays or having to hang out with family or any of that. But my dark days made me realize I should take any good will where ever it may be. If it has to wait until the holidays to make itself known, then so be it. Even if I don't like Thanksgiving, or celebrate non-Christian holidays. I return the good cheer, but I usually go with 'have a good one' for whatever rather than starting the chain of holiday greetings. Be it your upcoming festivities or just your day, have a good one. It makes a huge difference to some people's day.

ps why DOES the christain or whatever new year start off in January? The weather here is just the end of the fucking world. The roads and just everything are covered with snow and ice (mostly ice), single people on V-day are making poor life decisions and offing themselves. The mortality rate is just not a good one, if you ask me, new year should start in spring. It should be a matter of where you live, not culture. But eh, maybe that's just me too.

Give in. You know it was great.

I enjoyed myself but like. I'm sitting there thinking... wait what just freaking happened?! ::big grin::
The build up was so gradual, that my brain had to work overtime to keep up with how fast the ending was. So the guy hit his wife then killed his co-workers? I feel something more severe happened at home like he hit the baby and killed it but it wasn't very clear on that. Just kept playing the same damn audio clip over and over again without showing us what happened.
I did enjoy the session tapes with Mary though. Simon's interview was worth the wait.

I saw this a few months ago and really liked it too. I remember talking to Horcrux about it and we thought there was something off about the ending. I think I was just getting attached to the characters and was upset to see what happened to them.

The idea behind this movie is what keeps it in good terms with me though. I really want to throw my friends in a van and go on a Haunted House road trip. ::smile::

"Driftwood" 5-6/10

Not as much horror as a youth prison flick.

Kinda like The Devil's Backbone. Difference is, The Devils Backbone was freakin good.

It billed as a "prison horror" with a decent cast that includes Bruce Greenwood & Michael Rooker. But damn...this isn't actually a horror movie! A boring drama that tries to be a "thriller"!

Children of the Night aka Limbo (2014)

http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p433/sanjidparvez/Children%20night_zpskjyr2vdn.jpg

Alicia, a journalist who receives an unusual request from a nun named Erda who manages an orphanage in the Argentinian countryside known as Limbo. The orphanage, Alicia is told, is for children with a rare genetic disorder and the children are dying because of reasons unknown. Erda urges Alicia to come to Limbo and investigate their cause of death. After arriving at Limbo, Alicia discovers that the children are suffering from something called "Transylvirus," a kind of sensitivity to sunlight. The children sleep during the day and then come out to play at night, do their chores (and sometimes wicked stuffs too!), otherwise act like normal children, ranging in age from very young to their mid-teens. The more she documents their lives, Alicia is struck with the feeling that she's seen many of these children's faces before, but she can't seem to figure out where her sense of deja vu is coming from...

This low-budget horror film from Argentina got a beautiful heart & quite an interesting idea at the core of it which was, in my opinion, so promising that it even could be a decent follow up for the modern classic Let the Right One In (2008)!
But unfortunately it suffers for its inconsistent pacing, tone and amateurish production values. It lacks on cinematic approach, at times even felt like a weekly TV movie. Though personally I'm very much fond of low budget miracles but sadly to say this is one of those cases where I think the story really could have been benefited from a better budget, director and a cleverly written tighter script. I'm not saying that it deserves a big budget American or European remake but its conceptual intention to breaking down the conventional vampire mythology & does something else as well as at the same time dealing with so many great ideas like what it means to be young forever, child abuse, coming of age issues (and of course the overall set up) were intriguing enough to made me think that how much awesome it would be if the whole thing or at least the concept was to get treated by today's sophisticated filmmakers like Guillermo Del Toro (The Devil's Backbone) or J.A. Bayona (The Orphanage).

Despite its negative aspects I still loved it & like to recommend it here. It's a flawed but beautiful film.

The Houses October Built.

Pretty fun watch. Far from perfect but effective enough to keep me involved. Very nice concept and decent excecution. The Halloween attractions are cool and range from pretty cheesy to damn scary, and some of the attractions characters are visually memorable. I'm glad I gave it a second look this Hallowday month.

::smile::

I thought the ending did the film justice. I did think of an ending I would have liked more, but I was satisfied with where they took it. Overall, it's a fun little Halloween romp.
