The Last Samurai: (Not Horror) I am also a sap.
Long Movie, but it's one of My overall top five in my list, on just what the movie made me feel, when I was capable of feeling, that is. Great Story !!!
SUBTITLES alittle reading there, well I guess if you don't know the languages.

Could have been better. The film reaches a point where it could have entered some really dark territory (more realistic) or it could have gone the eye-rolling, entertaining way - and the makers chose the latter.
Still, pretty entertaining.

Last House On The Left (2009)
Oh my.. where to start, I hated this movie. I mean the first one wasn't brilliant.. but my god!
Anything they changed from the original was done badly, it was just a horrible horrible film. There were so many goofs it was embarrassing including making a point of looking for keys to a boat that doesn't need a key, and a scene at the end that makes no possible sense!
That said it must have sparked someone's interest because it should have been straight to video and instead went to cinema and it gets a 6.6 on IMDB.
I give it a generous 2. It's badly scripted, there's no suspense, you end up feeling more sorry for the bad guy and the end scene is enough to take away any credibility the movie ever had.

I agree - To be honest, I'm totally ignorant of that culture - No idea if there are really communities like that or not... And, really, I just couldn't identify with anyone... Not to say that I don't enough "Slice of Life" films outside of my current situation, but this one just depressed me and didn't do it for me.
Didn't see "Conrack" - Did you like it?
This almost reminded me a bit of "Tideland," though that was a LOT more depressing and significantly more f'd up.

I don't know that "enjoy" would be an appropriate word. I saw it in high school, it was a field trip for English class (going to see the movie), and it definitely stuck with me and made an impression. Obviously, since I graduated from high school in 1977! LOL! :D

Only less than an hour long, this horror-musical from D.L. Bousman (director of SAW 3, 4, Repo! The Generic Opera & The Mother's Day [2011]) centers around a devil's carnival set up while concentrating on 3 Aesop's Fables stories, with the main characters each representing a fable...Grief and His Due, The Dog and Its Reflection and The Scorpion and the Frog. Personally, I'm not a good fan of Musicals but I think here Mr. Bousman has done a pretty nice job. I liked it & won't hesitate to recommend it to any Musical lovers.

"Frankenweenie" (2012)
Plot:
Young Victor Frankenstein (Charlie Tahan) is a science nerd and outsider at school, but he does have one good friend: his dog, Sparky. But then, tragedy strikes, and Sparky shuffles off this mortal coil. Victor is heartbroken, but his science teacher (Martin Landau) gives him an idea of how to jolt old Sparky back to life. The experiment is successful, and all goes well, until Victor's fellow students steal his secret and use it to resurrect other dead animals -- with monstrous consequences.
Phantom's Review: I loved this movie. Beautifully animated and filled with tributes to the classic horror/monster films that are my favorites. Very funny, occasionally sad and very well voice acted.
A nice treat to those of us who are fans of the classics.

Finally got around to watching this and I have to say that I was absolutely impressed. Honestly, going in, this movie had two things against it:
I thought that Insidious was 1/3 brilliant and 2/3 awful... And that 2/3 was really just awful.
Ethan Hawke - While I honestly don't have an issue with him, I am usually turned off by horror movies with "names" in them as they tend to be Blockbusters, pull punches, and etc...
Wellll... I had no need to worry because I honestly found this movie genuinely creepy, suspenseful, and it honestly scared me (been a while since I've been that scared of a horror movie).
What I thought made it successful...
******HERE BE SPOILERS******
The "found footage" of the killings - Honestly I haven't seen a lot of Killer's POV horror movies (yes I know they exists; just never thought I'd enjoy them), so I found these absolutely horrifying and just plain disturbing... The images really haunted me and made me slightly sick.
The sound effects and music - While overpowering at times, I thought that the folly work and music really added to the tension (but they didn't feel cheap and gimmicky) - They felt dark, ominous, and looming - You know that something really awful is going to happen, you just know it...
The Demon - After the Insidious catastrophe and the silly images of the Demon you see in previous, I was concerned - It's hard to make believable demons; Paranormal Activity got around it through clever parlor tricks and this movie got around it through mis-direction... I do like that it created expectations in the viewer and I thought that the "twist," though I did see it coming, was still really horrifying.
The End - Didn't pull any punches. The end was brilliant, perfect, and horrifying. If it had ended any other way I would have been pissed... But, nope, perfect horror ending.
****HERE END THE SPOILERS****
Would like to know what you guys thought - In my opinion, it was one of the best horror movies of last year and was legitimately scary... But I avoided reviews on this site because I didn't want to come into it with expectations... Did you guys like it?
4.5/5
Personally no. I know people who do and who were scared, but it just didn't leave an impression on me.

Honestly I found it generally creepy myself. It didn't scare me per say, but while I was watching it I definitely felt the creepy factor oozing over me at times. I guessed how the events and story would play out about 15 or 20 minutes in and as usual I was correct, so while it wasn't anything new, it was a pretty decent movie that joins that rare group of films that do actually give me the creeps.

Not a very brilliant story, but it had some laughs and 2 strong lead actors to entertain us through the fast paced road trip. If it hadn't been for the nicely picked cast Identity Thief wouldn't have made half the income it's made (crazy $100.000.000+).

The story could've been told better and the acting could've been better as well.
But it sure had some powerfull/beautiful scenes and a couple of scenes that totally grossed med out. The blood coughing scene taking the prize with the huge leg wound coming in close second. Yuch!
Budget: 30.000.000 euros.
IMDB rating: 7,6.
Gross: $18.000.000 (WTF???)

I actually like Blair Witch, but I have a history with that movie, which I won't get into here.
I really don't know where it comes from. I guess I just see it as a gimmick.
GWAR is a fun band to see live, but now that they've done it, if someone else came along in foam rubber suits and doing the same shtick, I wouldn't like it as much. Then if you see about 30 other bands doing it, it would get old and stale quick. But that doesn't mean GWAR sucks. I'm also not saying that Blair Witch did it first, either. I'm just saying that it gets a lot of unnecessary hate from people who blame it for spawning that subgenre.

Life of Pi (2012)
The Days with 'Richard Parker'! Surely one of the best of 2012, as I expected. Though there are many amazing moments but loved that scene where Richard Parker is staring at the sky & Pi lying on the boat, very tiredly calls him from behind and he just slightly turns back his head (as if that tiger was thinking some serious stuffs i.e. what's going to happen next or when/where this journey will end or who knows may be he was praying or talking to God:) Even that '2nd or backup story' added an extra spark to this incredible tale of survival. Nothing new to say about great Daniel Day-Lewis as well as the rest of the A-list Hollywood actors. It was decent, but not something I would rewatch. It was too similar to Devil. It was hard to like any of the characters. Also I somewhat felt there were too many characters as they didn't really focus on all of them as much as I thought they should have. Cheap thrills don't really waste your time.
The Collection.
What a pile of wank. I would not watch this movie again nor would i recommend it. The ridiculous looking villain uses traps which are not in the slightest bit believable and you can just tell that they want to make it as exciting as a bland movie can get by making it so damn fast paced! If you blink you miss things its like they scrapped anything other than action. The movie keeps giving not so subtle nods to better films that you could be watching instead. There is no suspense, no fear and no interest here.
Its a ridiculous waste of time. 1/10

Deadly Detour (2011)
When car troubles leave a group of Florida-bound friends stranded in rural Maryland, a deformed maniac (The Goat Man!!) emerges from the forest to slaughter them one-by-one.
Very poorly directed, horribly acted a low budget slasher with decent amount of gore and so yeah...it's worth to call an utter crap; BUT at the end unexpectedly they've added a hilariously enjoyable sequence...One hell of a bloody massacre in a school bus full of blind retards!!:D I'm sure they had huge fun while shooting those scenes. So may be it's a bad idea but thinking of an evil plan to upload that sequence on a video hosting site & save others to go through the whole horrible movie. ;)
Anyway, I was almost determined to give it straightaway F or hardly a D but just for that gruesome funny ending...
>>: D+
Bad Meat (2011)
A group of so-called problem teens are sent by their parents to a repressive Boot Camp in the middle of nowhere, in the hope that the strict regime will transform them into youthful model citizens that their parents can be proud of. However the kids refuse to play ball, and tensions emerge between them as they try to resist the guards' sadistic methods.
Meanwhile, the camp's down-trodden cook has also tired of the abuse meted out to him by the guards, and fixes them a meal of illegal, diseased meat...a final "screw you!" before he abandons the camp. But he doesn't know that the meat is infected with a virus, which instead of simply making the guards ill as he intended, transforms them into flesh-crazed maniacs!
Oh, man...this is really a sad case! A mildly entertaining horror flick with a good cast just terribly suffers for "an ending"!! The thing is there is actually almost 'no ending' at the end. Near the end, when the final survival action part or head counts about to start then it just suddenly ends forcefully. And that's surely can be a shocker & frustrating thing for any regular horror fan, as by that time it was kinda turning into something decently funny and enjoyable watch. It was like the production ran out of money and they couldn't able to shoot the 'scripted' ending. Now, here comes the surprise part...it was actually the case! After watching the movie, I did a little online research & found this link (http://www.joblo.com/horror-movies/news/bad-news-for-bad-meat) where the sad mystery of Bad Meat resolves.

Just watched 3 Low Budgeters...
Wolf Town (2011) - Pretty dull and lifeless yarn about an old mining town that was killed off by wolves back in the 1800's. Four college kids go exploring and end up in a battle for their lives against a pack of wolves. Not much action and probably worth skipping for most, although I admit that I now think I'm in love with the only female in the film, Alicia Ziegler.
Amphibious 3D (2010) - I expected a little more from Brian Yuzna. SyFy Channel should add this one to their playlist. A giant amphibian scorpion kills a bunch of people who deserve to die.
Underground (2011) - Not as bad as it seems, although it's probably another one that SyFy might pick up some day. A bunch of party goers attend a rave at an old military base. They get in a fight with what appears to be a gang and hide in an underground bunker/laboratory. A German WWII scientist brought over by the USA after the war spent years creating a race with DNA combined from the most ravenous creatures on the planet in order to build a more perfect soldier. They kind of look like the vampires from Blade II. Of course they are hungry and start eating the party goers one by one. Some nice effects, but nothing really new.

Its basically the same concept as candyman, only you're supposed to type "i did it for the lulz" into an internet chat three times and the killer pops up behind your chat partner and kills them. Basically there are loads of badly done jump scares and the film tries to show that the main protagonist is getting paranoid but it just gets annoying really. Surprisingly enough shes seeing a psychiatrist having been treated in the past for bipolar disorder. Why is it all the new films play on mental disorder? It doesnt add anything.
Anyway.. It shows this girl getting more and more stressed after summoning smiley and she believes that hes after her. She goes to the police but they dont believe her because they have no missing persons, no bodies and no evidence of any crime. They basically lauhh her out of the station when she admits shes seeing a psychiatrist.
After a long drawn out period of smileys after me no hes not maybe he is, we get her to discover a body, the police laugh at her again and she heads home. Loads of smileys come after her and she ends up dead. The smileys demask and they are all high school kids in one very well planned prank. The congradulate one another on s job well done and then you get one last look at smiley in an "oh god he is real" scene.
To be honest it actually looks better in writing but its been done before and its been done better. 1/10

Not typical horror but the deaths are definitely horror related. It's basically a "And Then There Were None" type of story with the FBI. I want to see the uncut version eventually.

I have not posted in section for a while
Spider-Man 2 (2004)
This is another re-watch, I wasn't to keen on it when I first saw, It seem this movie as gown on me over the past few years
I really enjoyed it on second watch, I feel liked the fact that this movie had nice mixture of action and some very humourers moment in this movie.
I did laugh a few times in this movie as i found some jokes really funny, it blanded in really well with the action scenes.
There were some really good action scenes in this movie, really well made, there were some action that did go little longer they should, those scene kind of took edge of it.
I enjoyed most of the movie, I felt the ending was bit of let down, That really let the movie down.
The acting was really good from the whole cast!
Spider-Man 3 (2007)
I seen this a least twice before, I loved it, when it first came out. I thought it was best of 3 at the time (I didn't like second one at that time)
This movie a lot stuff happing and there could have least done first half movie that could easily fitted in the second movie.
I found this movie was trying to put way too much stuff in this movie, I loved it,
I was like Give Spider-man a break
This movie was really fasted past and Action packed and I don't think took my eyes of TV at all until the ending credits
There action scene in this movie was very gripping to watch, really well made and
not sure what make of the Series Twist at the end.
8 out of 10
The Hunger Games
I heard this was bit like Battle Royal (Which I think it classic) That is one reason, i wasn't to keen on seeing this movie.
I found the first hour of the movie very slow, I didn't think it would have been that slow, I yawning a few times.
There were some decent action just after the hour into but that scene was ruined by the
Shaky Cameraman, Swear I could make what the hell was going on in that scene.
That just really annoyed me and some of effect did look a iffy at times, what those thing like lions/dog are something, I could not really make them out.
I did found some thing to silly like, the Apple scenes fallen on to the land mind, I was give a break.
as some Similar moment to Battle Royal no were near a good as Battle Royal.
6 out of 10 good movie, could have been better!
I don't know they going to make sequel to this movie (it's most likely ending being like Battle royal 2)
I saw Paranormal Entity 4: The Awakening , I thought it was little bit better then Paranormal Entity 2. but that not saying much
Also seen half of village of the damned 1960 Could not get into at all.
Maniac (1980) I had to see this before remakes
I Really enjoyed this movie, As some cool tense moment in this movie, there was some really good nasty gory moments, which I really liked
His one hell of A Maniac!, Bloody movie, I Don't thing is aged that well, there some dated stuff in the movie but really minor, Which really dosn't really affect the movie.
The acting was really good from the whole cast
I give this movie 6 out of 10 good movie
Asylum (1972)
There were some good story in this anthology movie
The first was, Well i was little confused but I really liked how the story went, there were some odd moment in that segment.
The second Story, I found it very dull and boring, I did like the end of the story came to the end was not a good as the first story.
The Third story was not bad , I did enjoy that story but I found the whole thing very predicable
The end of the movie was very decent, Well that crazy doc sure dose have one crazy laughing voice
6/10
Trilogy of Terror (1975)
3 tales of horror and not one of them that were that good.
The first story was called
"Julie"
A student who fancy his teacher in this story (Why people in the early 30 acting like teens in this movie?) the cast just seem wrong
This short little bland, I didn't like it, it was boring and I didn't get point of the whole thing,
the story was too predicable and I knew how the story would ended way before it did,
The acting was decent but that about it!
Millicent and Therese"
(I found this really funny, so two different movies and yet both second ones were ended the same way)
I could not get into this segment at all, I found lead too annyoing and was acting way of the top in some scenes .
I swear, I already forget what happend in this segment, the whole think i liked was ending of that short (I saw this done before by another movie on same day, which also saw for first time)
"Amelia"
This was best of the worst segments, I didn't really all that great
Amelia come home find Some kind of dolls that razor sharp teeth and with some kind weapon the doll holding.
she find there is a actual spirit in, the gold chain that keep in locked in the doll but soon it's fall off the doll and as Amelia leaves the room.
There she get attacked by the doll, there some good moment in this segment but some stuff felt little muddle.
The attack scenes were handle really well, I liked how moved in some scenes but some scene were bit bland.
I liked the very last scene of the movie, That best scene in the whole movie.
I going give this movie 4 out of 10
Off to see number 2

Trilogy of Terror II (TV 1996)
I liked this a little better then first one
The Graveyard Rats
Not bad at all, Good start
old nasty man who blackmail is younger wife, who sleeping her Cousin, after recoding them sleeping together
She want to leave him, he giving everything to her in her will (Who know how the story goes after)
I felt some of the segment drag a little to long, i found some parts very slow and I wondering if if story as anything do with Rats,
One point I thought it was a Title of the story but as movie went on, it made more sense, I am clad i stuck in their
I did enjoyed the ending of the story, Giant kill rats were a bit silly but they were kind of Cheesy in good way , which was a little funny.
The last scene on that segment was decent, I really liked curve ending.
Bobby
This was great story (I heard it's a remake? of what?) I found this segment best of the bunch
The mum who lost her son, who drowned, while her husband away, she tries to bring back with Vodoo book.
Soon he come knocking back on the door, and acts like evil
This story did have some really good creepy moment and tense feeling at times, it dose seem a lot scary with human face on!
The ending was just very funny, the Demon face was so bad . it was so funny, I found him more scary with Human face on lol
It's a shame goofy ending ruined it!
He Who Kills
it's about killer doll again, it come back to life and starts to attack people, the same thing happens just like first one.
Maybe this was little be more bloody then first one and doll dose look a bit odd in this one. I don't find it scary at all,
I found this movie a little better then first movie

"The Amazing Spider-Man" (2012)
Plot: IMDB
Peter Parker/Spider-Man finds a clue that might help him understand why his parents disappeared when he was young. His path puts him on a collision course with Dr. Curt Connors, his father's former partner.
Phantom's Review: I personally found "Amazing" to be ...adequate. Not a bad film by any means. Good FX (if you don't mind a ton of CGI) good cast , story but the film seemed to lack the fun and excitement of the first two Sam Rami pictures. I really didn't see the point of retelling the origin over again. It made the first half hour of the film drag. But my biggest complaint with this film (as well as many other super hero movies) WHY THE HELL DO THEY KEEP TAKING OFF THE MASK!
Most of the film , he was walking around in his Spidey suit with no mask on. Do the producers feel the audience is so stupid that we would forget what the actor looked liked? It was an Okay film, I just hope the sequel is better.

The new "Oz" one.
I didn't mind it, seems to be getting a bit of a bad rap...I mean it wasn't a thing of greatness but it was fun to watch, felt respectful enough, had some interesting effects and was funny at times too.
I only felt it was lacking in the plot elements....of the "bad" witch posing as the good one and trying to set her counterpart up (that part was in itself "ok"), and the eventual "push" they were able to give their misguided sister into evil seemed to be well, not as much of a motivation as you'd think. I mean c'mon, she knew the guy for all of five minutes. that, and her green makeup didn't look as good as it could have
The cast was solidly "not bad", though personally I think that Kunis chick can't just CAN'T act for shit. Franco is a little wooden too, but hey.
Overall while I won't be rushing out to buy it on BluRay when it's out, I won't speak too ill of it. I've seen far worse a recent attempt to revisit similar subject matter...

A small group of friends find themselves followed by an unseen/unknown entity while spending a weekend camping in the Catskill Mountains. Though the plot seemingly offers nothing new as it centers around the cliched theme of "there's something in the woods!" but still I'd say it's a well made film & the little cast did a fine job with their assigned roles. But 'sadly'...I just found the twist at the end hilarious & ruined the whole build up for me. The problem is they tried to provide a Big answer for what did actually happened with the group and which is clearly not required for this sort of films. It'd be better if they just treated it as a psychological horror through a mind-twisting evil entity!

The Woman in Black (2012): Finally got round to watching this one, really enjoyed it. Good ghost story, few too many jump scares and not quite enough atmosphere but overall pretty good. Ciarán Hinds was excellent.... Only problem for me was the ending;
SPOILER:
They provide a nice sting in the tail by having the woman in black as the malevolvent spirit that is hellbent on revenge, even after the resolution, but don't want to fully commit to the dark ending that it should've been. Instead, Radcliffe trying to save his kid somehow allows for a sidestep of eternal limbo with the woman in black and allows he and his son to reunite with the dead wife/mother in some sort of sickly sweet afterlife.... Didn't quite work for me.

Based on the Greek mythology, Tom Hardy plays the Heroic role of Theseous but as there's some changes in this adaptation, so he's just a humble shepherd, named Theo, haunted by the loss of his love, Fion, in an earlier sacrifice, is convinced that the beast is not a deity and his love still lives within the labyrinth of the beast. Rutger Hauer plays his father role & Tony Todd as the King Deucalion. The surprise package from the cast-list of this sy-fy channel flick not only ends here, as the end credit roles, it came to my notice that even Ingrid Pitt was there in the role of disfigured 'Leper'!

"Paranormal Activity 4" (2012)
Plot:
It has been five years since Katie murdered her sister and disappeared with her infant nephew, Hunter, in tow. Now, a new family is about to fall prey to nighttime terrors. A mysterious accident next door leads to teenage Alex and her family becoming the temporary guardians of Robbie, a very creepy neighbor boy. Cameras installed throughout Alex's home capture the sinister events that unfold after Robbie's arrival.
Phantom's Review: When the "home video/Found Footage" type of films first started, I rather enjoyed them. Films like "Paranormal Activity" (1), "Cloverfield", (rec) and a few others were very entertaining. But now with "PA4" I think that ship has sailed and won't be coming back for a while. It's not so much that this is a bad film, it's not, the actors do a good job and there are a couple of decent BOO! scenes, it's just a feeling of "Been There/Seen That". The series has completely lost any sense of originality, that it once had (probably due to too many sequels and imitations)Right from the beginning you could tell who was going to get it, where most of the major scares were coming from and what was going to happen next. Not bad as a rental, but I think it's time to wrap this franchise up.

It's cute, silly and has some fun spoofs of the classic movie monsters. It's not great by any means, but it's a fun family movie, and it's a good way to introduce the classic monsters to a younger audience.

Night of the Demons (Remake) *
SOME SPOILERS
I barely remember watching the original. I don't think it was that good. Looking at parts of the movie on youtube, the only thing I barely remember is the Asian girl. I believe a member here showed me the kissing death scene too for a topic I created.
This remake starts off well. It has an old school vintage horror opening with a kill that's surprising. I heard of it happening before but we see it here in practice. Then it goes to present day New Orleans. They did good casting the actresses. The movie had me hooked from the moment Diora Baird is applying her sexy cat girl makeup. It also has Monica Keena from Freddy vs Jason. She's almost the same character or is perfecting her acting method here. Shannon Elizabeth and Bobbi Sue Luther finish off the good casting on the girls. Both dabbled in horror before. Bobbi Sue looks like she's going to explode out of her dress in the movie. One character mentions it too. Also in the movie is Edward Furlong. I haven't seen him in anything since Terminator 2. I just read a recent story about him getting into trouble for beating his girlfriend. Well, he plays a low end drug dealer in this movie. And really looks gone for much of the movie too. It's kind of funny.
The premise is basically the house has demons that come out on Halloween. Simple and handled well for the most part. But there are some small things that were disappointing. They could have worked on the environments more. Some of the group leave the house a few times. It could have been like the first Resident Evil videogame with paths and a fountain or something. This is New Orleans and there is a lot of old architectural details down there. They did give the house an underground tunnel which was fairly interesting.
I didn't like the demon designs that much. The main one is the best. There were a few uninspired zombie like creatures. A Medusa like creature with tentacles which was a real missed opportunity. I've seen some wild stuff with tentacle monsters and Night of the Demons doesn't even come close. The skull monster is kind of scary. But something horrible happens to a pretty girl for the monster to reveal itself.
Also, Diora Baird has a sex scene with her top on. No guy in the world would keep her top on. I remember a popular actress mentioning once that sex scenes with tops on pulled her out of movies. But this could be explained away as the guy is a bisexual demon and into backdoor practices. Anyway, she does get a wild topless scene later in the movie. I think Shannon Elizabeth became known for a topless scene in that American Pie movie. I've never seen it. But no topless for her here. Just a wild bottle scene. And a good scene with her in a spinning room. I liked that one a lot.
This probably could have been a classic with a little more thought on the creature design/environment and some better guy characters. But I'll still add it to my horror collection one day.
* Disclaimer. I was drinking while watching this movie. And all of the actresses, who are already very pretty, are wearing fishnets. Which is more than a plus in my book.

"Django Unchained" (2012)
Plot:
Two years before the Civil War, Django (Jamie Foxx), a slave, finds himself accompanying an unorthodox German bounty hunter named Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz) on a mission to capture the vicious Brittle brothers. Their mission successful, Schultz frees Django, and together they hunt the South's most-wanted criminals. Their travels take them to the infamous plantation of shady Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio), where Django's long-lost wife (Kerry Washington) is still a slave.
Phantom's Review: As far as I'm concerned Quentin Taratino can make westerns for the rest of his career, and I'll be happy about it. I loved this movie. It's violent, gory and foul mouthed, but it's the closest thing we will get to a spaghetti western in this modern era.
Terrific performances from the cast, and it was cool to see the original "Django" Franco Nero make a cameo.
It's great to see a western be a box office hit again.

GI Joe: Retaliation
http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g432/Travis_Lake/MV5BNzk5ODM0OTQ0N15BMl5BanBnXkFtZTcwODg2ODE4OA_V1_ SX214__zps6993b501.jpg
There's a lot i liked about this and a lot i didn't. I wasn't happy with some of the choices they made with the characters they used, it felt like the whole team of good guys were comprised of minor characters and they didnt even bother using Destro.
It wasn't as cheesy as the first one but the first one also felt more like a GI Joe movie, this felt more like an action movie simply using the GI Joe name. The action scenes were pretty good though and the story wasn't terrible. If i wasn't comparing it to the first one i would say it was decent.
If you're gonna check this out though, i'd suggest waiting for the DVD.

Seen A few since my last post
Leprechaun (1993) I saw this on Paddy Dad
This movie started of quicker then I thought it would be and in the the first scenes, we already the Green little Monster.
There was very funny moment in this movie that made laugh, there some very silly moments in this movie, that don't think were that funny at times, they tried to be a little too funny.
I would have thought this movie , would have been a lot more gory then it was, there were some bloody moment, I never seen anyone get killed by Pogo-stick before.
I also liked the way, how they got rid of Leprechaun, that were some good old melting effects.
7 out of 10
Leprechaun 2 (1994)
Is back again!
This movie was no were near as decent as first one, which was just about decent with fun factor put in there.
This movie did not have any of fun factor that first movie had, The lead girl in this movie, which wide eyes and Scream, . Which was way over the top.
After that, I knew I was in tough ride. As ^ That was first scenes, as the movie went on, I got bored of it.
I left the movie on and started doing another things as well, I Don't think there was one scenes that I actually liked in this movie.
The acting was really bad in this movie as were the effects and the dull plot!
1 out of 10 (This is were series stopped for me. Even had 3 Beers before this movie, was drinking my 4th beer while it was on, that didn't even help!)
Terror Tract (2000)
Another anthology which is stable as more of dark comedy Horror movie
A a real-estate agent (Played by Late John" Ritter trying to sell a variety of houses to a young couple;
They 3 different house and they all seem have very Dark Pass!
(The first House)
"Nightmare"
A man catches is wife sleeping another, soon thing happen, when tries to revenge on her boyfriend, soon what thing lead to another, some one killed, that body was sleeping with the fishes.
This segment started of really well but as the it's went down hill really quick .
There some decent scenes that could have been really creepy but so many of those ending being fake scare.
When any another scary scenes happen you already know that already try to creep out with also the same scenes twice , one tiny thing changes in those scene,
Its got boring, I didn't really care the near the end of this story, Decent story but ruined by to many fake scare too close to each other!
4/10
After hearing that Story, the young couple didn't what to buy this house, so go to other house, which they love Until
Man tells them story about this house
"Bobo,"
Normal nice family father and daughter getting along really well, until she finds the monkey in the tree.
She ask her dad to keep it but some the Monkey hates everyone but the girl, The Dad not happy at all, Daughter is acting like a right brat, who should be slap too next year!
Never mind go to her room
The monkey soon start attacking but it's shame with only see aftermath of monkey, we don't see he attack in first few animals and people its kills.
At end, we do see attack one person in the movie, which far to late the story, I thought attack was decent.
This never really had ending, never see what happens in end of story, we only gun shot but dad was not holding the gun.
The acting was really good in this story from whole cast!
6/10
Again Young couple pass on this house
And they go too next house
Come To Granny"
Teenager who seem have psychic abilities and he goes to see a therapist, he tells her he as crazy visions in which he sees the Granny killer killing his victims. (Granny mask was very cool and funny in way).
When he gets these Visions is starts having a fit (Which was poorly acted in flash back)
then he warns her that she next Victim of the Granny killer.
This one was Decent story but very predicable and some of worst acted segment in this movie and I didn't like the Idea of Granny kill Mask.
4 out of 10
The couple refusing to buy any of the houses, The estate agent goes mad and snaps!
soon things turns nasty.
The last scenes was bloody funny, the whole neighbour hood was crazy, every house some thing bad was going on.
I give this movie 7 out of 10
The Vault of Horror (1973) Also know Further Tales from the Crypt and Tales from the Crypt II
Five strangers meet and end up getting stuck in room, so then each of them tell them a dream,
When first one
Framing Story
Harold tracks down sister as their father died, so her their father as giving her everything so, he track her down,
it's not every turn out the way he wanted to do
This was one was just about decent, there some cool twist at the end of this
movie, Did dose really a little out dated a bit.
5 out of 10
The Neat Job
The as got to be the most Stumper story I have seen, (My older brother his a bit like him) is very neatly but I don't think even, he said can't you do anything Neatly.
I found the think way of the top act, the story, the ending was planing stupid.
1/10
This Trick’ll Kill
A bit better then the last story
Sebastian and is wife are india and looking for new trick and he finds this girl. who dose a trick,
he want her trick and as he ask her to hotel room, it's her first mistake and His too.
I didn't like sound effect in story at all, it's just sounded odd..
I didn't really get the rest of , for me it made sense at all, I found its very silly and ending I didn't really get it! (This another one that felt a little outdated as well)
3/10
Bargain in Death
This wasn't to be bad, Scan between to Friends, back stabbing and then karma strikes
there one decent scarce Scene in this movie and I did I liked how story came to a end.
Drawn and Quartered
They saved the best story for last, I loved this, this was great story about Painter. who gets some voodoo pen /pins and start Draw with the them.
He pain someone, when he wants his revenge , he dose nasty stuff the pictures , which happens to them in really life, for time this movie came decent.
Some things did bother me in this movie, that would spoiler the movie over all I did enjoy the last story
8/10
Overall, This was very disappointing, then some really silly segments in this movie, the last story saved the movie a bit!
7 out of 10 ,
Body Bags (1993)
This corpse tells 3 stories about this other bodies in the morgue
"The Gas Station"
Anna who arrives for her first job at working the night shift at an all-night filling station And Bill her Boss tell her to care full of people as t a serial killer has broken out of mental hospital.
So keeps the booth Closed most of time, The short is was on edge, serving peope!
This short was good, there was some little tense moment in this movie were well done and I really liked the twist was really good and I really liked how the segment ended
7/10
"Hair"
Richard Who's getting bald and then when he advert on TV about miracle' hair transplant operation, and goes thought with it and really happy with results.
Soon he keeps growing in places that never meant to have year,
I not sure what to think of this one, I found this bit of weak story and Some of effects in this short.
5/10 Decent
"Eye"
I would say this was the best of bunch, They saved best for last!
Brent ends up losing one of his Eyes after Car Crash (Which Could have been done better) But there one nasty gory scenes in that Crash, Which I thought was decent.
When doctor tells his could get new Eye after the doctor tells and again after he also happy wit results. Until take Dark turn in the story!
I really liked this story, very well paced and some really good acting from the cast, some very wearied scenes in a good way!
I liked how the story came to end really good!
8/10
Not bad anthology the whole movie I give 7/10

Exorcist II: The Heretic (1977)
I have seen once before but I Could not remember much of it in my first watch
It's no were near as good as first movie, We all that coming, There should not even been sequel to this movie, never mind 3, (4 and 5 both of these are the same movies)
I did like the sound of plot of movie, I thought it started of decent but really on in the movie is went off into r, science fiction, and fantasy.
Which just felt really wrong and Another thing I didn't like how it's was going back and forward to the real and Dream world.
It go annoying and it's happens way to many times this, some times those scene were just odd in Bad way
there were some scenes I thought decent in this movie but I don't think was one scary or shocking moment in this movie, will shock anyone!
Some of the effects were not bad but Could have been done and the acting was really good from the whole cast!
4/10 -Worth watching a least once!
Unaware (2010)
Another one those found footage movies , I have been looking forward to this movie since the trailer came.
The trailer seem great however this as got to be one the BIGGEST Disappointment's Ever!
This as got to be the most boring-est and dullest movie I have ever sat thought, there nothing really happens until hour into the movie.
Little things were like over in an flash and then panic and then it's calm down for again until last five minutes of the movie, where the movie start going and of course ends!
The scenes was okay but nothing great at all as there were no suspense in this movie at all, not sure what to thing of the Alien.
I felt I seen this done before and better in Alien Abduction: The McPherson Tape (Which not great but still miles better this movie)
And what hell was the point of that end of Credit scene, Blue sky!
The acting was wooden at times by lead Male, the Girl scream was good!
One of the worst and dullest of them Found footage movies
3/10 Very, Very, VERY! Poor! (I can't believe , That I was actually dying to see this movie, I am at my self )
The Exorcist III (1990)
This I have really mixed feeling about, It is much better the Second movie in the series but still not as Great as the first one.
But this did have a very creepy atmosphere at the start of the movie and the snap of Jesus eye opens was little creepy.
As movie went, It did kinds of lose that creepy feeling as it turn into bit more of true psychological thriller then . creepy or scary horror movie.
I did some scenes very boring to watch, I felt they drag some scenes a little to longs in this movie.
There were some strange scenes near end of the movie, Which I thought were little odd, I did find it a little funny.
There one scenes that really took me by surprised is near the end as I didn't expected this movie gory at all, then one really nasty gory scenes near the end.
The acting from everyone in this movie was really good.
5/10
Exorcist: The Beginning (2004)
I have tired to watch this movie a few times, only well, i fell a sleep in the first 2 times, I did put a bit late, so i decided to give it another today, when day was light.
Now that I have seen the whole movie, I don't think it was all that bad, there were some creepy moment in this movie that worked really.
There were really cool bloody scenes that really liked in this all though I don't think iit really fitted in this movie.
There was really calm moment in this movie, which do feel little boring at times.
The acting wasn't great in some part of the movie, I felt some of actor Could not be bother that near the end of the movie as the acting didn't look as lazy at the start.
I feel mixed feeling about this movie.
5/10
But I not sure if, i Should see Dominion: Prequel to the Exorcist (2005) - I Heard it kinda of the same! (I Will give it watch maybe next week)
The Bay (2012)
A lot diffrent then I thought it was going to be.
I liked the start of the movie, with real reports of Dead Animals that news, a few years ago.
Also liked the fact their were few other going on at the same time, Normally Found footage movie are calm and try keep tension.
This was like the normal one person hold camera movie, this different shorts CTV, Police dash boards and people seem to talking the Camera every where.
But this goes straight into the mess and I liked the Plot, It Kinda of re mind me of the Cabin Fever a little, with the whole water is infected.
The infections did look really nasty look on, Which i thought was really make up effects in this movie.
I found one scenes really chilling in this movie, Is when the police man goes into the house and who see words , how scream them,
I found that really affected
I liked the later scenes in the movie, shouting and crying coming out of me, the lady sceaming was little annoying.
The acting in this movie could have been better from some of the people, I felt that were little stale at times and there were some decent action of some of the cast in this movie.
I didn't think it would be scary or creepy, I sure did find it really entertaining.
6/10
Uninvited (1988)
A scientific corporation of ill repute loses control of its test subject--a poisonous, mutant cat
This was one bizarre movie, I did liked how the moved paced, there were some calm scenes and the cool Bloody scenes in this movie.
There were so very bad scenes in this movie, I loved it cause some of scene were so bad that they were funny.
There were some decent gory scenes in this movie for the PG 13 in 80's and Did like the idea of plot, some scenes were done right at time.
Really odd B-movie 4/5 out of 10
Today
Conjurer (2008)
This movie as been on my watch list for really long, The trailer dose
make this movie look a lot more creepy then it is.
The movie start of well with Couple lose Miscarry the Baby , it kind at
first you felt really sorry for then.
Then movie to country side to have fresh start,
For first 20 minutes felt like this could be a good movie , some calm
scenes in this movie felt a little bland at times.
Some of those scenes do drag here and there, I felt what was point of
the wife in this movie, she barely in the movie, had no reason for her
to be in movie as most of the movie, Just show doing normal house work.
While Husband is started to bit freaked out seeing thing in this movie,
Some of the scare Scene or the Jump scenes, were not scary at all, they
tired to make it creepy by keeping far from each other but think it
failed, other scenes felt empty
The whole movie was just about watch-able and twist was decent, I had
didn't see it coming at all but this dose leave some plots holes in the
movie.
( I heard cast and crew were actually haunted on set, and those stories
they told were a lot creepy then this movie )
The acting from two mane lead were really were bad in some scenes, as
some scenes were almost un -watchable.
4 out of 10
Last of the living (2009)
This another that been on my watch list for long time, I have tired watch before, As this very low budget movie, it did put off.
A contagious virus is turning everyone into zombies, and the only hope for survival lies in the hands of three couch potatoes.
The movie starts just liKe 28 days later, when Man in mid 20's is walking around empty street and News flash of it at the start of what going on.
As Its went to meant to Horror comedy but I didn't find any of zombie that scary at all, some were very stranger then others, some doggey make up effect and it wasn't really that gory at all.
Felt same scenes were getting repeated over and over again and those scenes end up dragging at well, I do mean killing Zombie scenes. well.
I don't think I laughed more then once, The thing that I laugh was not really that funny but I didn't find any of other things funny at all.
The acting was really tame time from most of the cast, at the ending what was with shouting, that way, way over the top.
Ending was predictable and kind boring for zombie to end that way!

Caught the ass-end of "American Ninja 2"...have recently grabbed all of those films on a whim.
Wow...I used to love these movies, and while the first was not bad, I felt like this one was terrible.
Will still watch the rest though.
Too bad about Michael Dudikoff never really taking off too much, have only seen him in maybe 3 movies aside from AN 1, 2, and 4.
I hear the fifth one isn't even part of the series, rather a cash-in rename of another film starring one of the guys from the latter part of the series...as a different character.
Looks almost like a kids film from what I've seen.
Will get around to all of it though, I suppose.
Still love seeing ninjas getting projectiles thrown at them.
...Never really seen a "serious" ninja movie, is there any?
I know there were quite a few ninja themed movies in the 80's, though I never really saw any.
The last "modern" ninja movie I saw was "ninja assassin" which was fun but really pointless.
Does Azumi count? That one I could dig, even if it was a living manga.

Rest Stop ( 2006) I don't why but for few weeks, I got this mixed up with Drive Thru (2007), A few year ago, least Drive Thru was a lot fun to watch and really enjoyed). (Funny both of these movie 4.4 IMBd site) both went to Straight to DVD
A young couple seem to go on a road, they almost get hit my another car, only for boyfriedsn to angry shout abuse at the driver before it's drivers off.
They come to rest stop, where the girl goes nasty bathroom and come back out to see her boyfriends gone, first she thinks a Joke.
I found the whole movie was jokes, cause felt so bored after all that happened and then movies just kept on going aroudn and around and around in circles and those scenes were not that good at all.
They were not scary or tense or anything there really flat from start to end of the movie, I Could wait for the movie for come to end.
Just before 45 minutes I was trying really hard to fall a sleep as I thought the movie could be better in the last of movie,
I was wrong there too as is stayed in that bleke flat zone and the acting was all over the place of Girl, could not take her serious at all. (In few scenes she clam and the next crying and going of the top and some scenes act like she read from the script.
The whole movie was very Predictable, nothing not really done in other horror/thrillers movies, I done much better then this.
There one scenes that I really liked in this movie, which I thought was really stranger and very odd in good but that scenes was really point-less as it had nothing little main plot the movie.
2/10 Avoid it , That one scenes is not worth it to sit through this mess
I won't be seeing the sequel at time soon!

Genuinely impressed with this moody, brooding, creepy thriller. Reminded me a lot of The Others and Woman in Black in that it's a successfully atmospheric haunting tale. Adored Dominic West, whom I had only previously seen in The Wire.
What I think what really impressed me about this was that the ending, while perhaps a bit overdone, actually wrapped the story up quite well - I'm typically suspicious of "twists," but it really worked well here. Nice slow-burner.

I love animated films. I love claymation. I love horror. And I really loved Coraline, so I was very excited about this one coming out from the same studio... But while it was absolutely stunning, I thought that the characters were silly, unbelievable, and 2-dimensional, the dialog was really lazy, and the story, while not bad, was just executed poorly. Huge disappointment for me because I really thought the animations was stunning.

"A good day to Die Hard".
Probably liked it a little more than the fourth and second films...and stands as a relatively good brainless action film, though like the fourth one, did not really "feel" like part of the franchise, don't think they'll ever get that back again.
Not bad though. Plot was pretty thin.
Some ok effects, good gunfights, not too much in the way of fisticuffs.
I'd say 6/10

Farmhouse (2008)
After seeing the trailer for this movie, I was afraid they showed way to much of the movie.
Here another movie were We follow a young couple as they leave their everyday lives behind and head out to a new beginning; starting over from scratch and while Driver , Chad who ends up falling a sleep at the wheel, Crash the car.
We get flash back of happened in before they decided to movie way, it felt really strange for them for keeping going back wards now and again, it got really annoying at the times and Felt of place.
Soon there see house they go there, These to couple who are at the house seem very friends (TOO Friendly, Which I thought would have creepy for stranger to say those thing then sooner then later thing that nasty turn.
These couple soon turn nasty and keep the other hostage for some part of the movie, these Torture scenes were really that good or that nasty however There one scenes I found did find A bit nasty , Let just I won't use Cheese crater today for sure.
Then they go over the board with over done twist , which I been done so many times now, It's getting boring now, I make the pass hour Point-less and a waste of time.
The ending really ruined the movie , I kind of felt a little cheated. however I did not get board with this movie, it get entertained thought out the movie, the acting was really good from the short cast in this movie.

I have tried watch a number of times before, I could never really get into the movie and again I saw half of it yesterday and I saw the last half of it today.
It did take me while to get in this movie, I do like the vidoe being balloons at times and there was some good tense and chilling moment in this movie.
If wasn't for the really poor acting from most of the cast and some scripts sounded a little to fake (I would Easily believed this was real) however it NOT real and I know that.
I Thought did have powerfully story and some good chilling moment in this movie, that might make you thing, the next you see stranger.

I found is bit silly for Killer to go and see the mother of the girl He Kidnapped only for mother not doing anything knowing he was kidnapper
It was really some- what entertaining. 6/10 Good movie

Dark Skies (2013) (First time I heard of this movie, was when I saw TV spot a few week ago, where I have missed the news for this,
The Trailer looked really good, (I didn't think would be as good Mama which I thought was decent and some decent Jump scenes which was rated 15 in UK) As this was rated 13, I didn't expect to scary at all.
This movie dose not rely on scary Jump scenes at all, they nothing make you get scared or make Jump at all.
This movie more of slow burning and try to keep you suspense thought out Most the movie, which is done really well as goes more creepy vibe.
This movie did remind me a lot of Sign (2002) Also had the same feel to it and poltergeist mixed in with tiny hint paranormal activity in this movie
The were some stranger scenes in this movie, which kind bizarre and Which I really enjoyed to watch.
I liked the fact We don't get to see the Aliens Clearly until near the end of the movie, there are in movie but there for a flash Or Be caught on camera but don't get to much of them in those scenes.
Last 20 minutes were some good moment, that have edge of seat, well I shouted It's Behide you! , Very eerie scenes but scenes get goes a bit odd, it stranger way , I was little confused with that. (I liked how that scenes started but it was little stranger in odd way.
The ending , my god, you can't end the movie like, I mean you can't NOT end the movie liked that!
The acting was really good from the whole cast!
Really good movie, I really enjoyed it!

I have to say - Wow. I had low expectations going into this based on a fairly mediocre review from Rue Morgue... I assumed that it was going to be just another stoner zombie buddy comedy... But it surprised me by having quite a bit of depth.
Taking a LOT of influence from Return of the Living Dead, The Revenant starts off initially as a gory comedy, but then it dissolves into a very dark, Nihilistic, and cynical place... While not a perfect movie (it does meander a bit in the middle), the end really ties it all together... And it's a damn good ending.
Not to mention, the soundtrack is killer and I can't wait until it comes out in a couple of weeks.
HIGHLY recommended and would love to hear feedback from others who've seen this.

Last night I watched The Girl (2012) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2132485).
I've read that this movie about Hitchcock's obsessive relationship with The Birds and Marnie leading actress Tippi Hedren is historically inaccurate, or at least exaggerated. Given that some of the basis for the story comes from Hedren's personal accounts, I have to believe that it's at least loosely rooted in fact. However, "Alfie"'s spiral into near-insanity as portrayed in the movie's final chapter, to me, bordered on caricature, and is hard to buy into. Given that the rest of the film, save for a few good creepy moments -- Hitchcock throwing himself on her during a limo ride, his (implied) intentional shattering of the phone booth glass while she was inside, his 5-day marathon assault on her with real birds in the attic scene -- was actually pretty uneventful and not particularly tense, it's hard to give this movie much of a recommendation. It was interesting from a historical perspective, but average as a drama or thriller. As a Hitchcock fan, I may have enjoyed it more than I expect most would, but that's not saying a lot.
5/10.

It was funny without overloading the humor and without being stupid. It was surprisingly dark at all the right places and the story kept evolving so that it never got boring or predictable. It started to lose focus around the vigilante gunslinger part but it explored a realistic scenario that people might experience if given the chance to be immortal and it gave way to the awesome last part of the movie. I loved the ending. So depressing and sad and the very last sequence was excellent.
I recommend this.

Set in a remote English village, Elfie Hopkins, an aspiring young detective, likes to spend most of the time along with her geeky best friend, Dylan, by investigating the villagers and upsetting everyone with their imaginative allegations. But Elfie's mundane existence is thrown for a spin with the arrival of a mysterious family of trendy city dwellers, the Gammons, in her neighborhood.
The cast & production value for this Britt horror-thriller were pretty good, I was even started to liking it but at the end it suffered for its rush ending where they unexpectedly killed off lots of characters.

Shadow People (2013)
http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p433/sanjidparvez/Shadowpeople1_zps3e90cbd5.jpg
The concept of shadow people or even sleep paralysis is always interesting, IMO but found it bit annoying as here they unnecessarily tried too much on creating the mood or a 'belief' that the whole thing is based on true events and which I found quite unconvincing. Every time (after almost every 10 minutes) the pace of the film got distracted by those "real life footage" of interviewing people of what they think or where they were at the time while something happened mysterious or about someone or about the news...blah..blah etc. Overall, a decent idea failed to impress for a disappointing treatment.

Curandero: Dawn of the Demon (2005)
http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p433/sanjidparvez/Curandero_zps650cfaec.jpg
Written and co-produced by Robert Rodriguez, the story of Curandero begins when the federal agent Magdalena calls upon the local curandero for his services to purify a police station(!), the two suddenly find themselves immersed in a satanic cult's blood-thirsty battleground. Loved this idea where everyone in a typical Mexican town (from the police force to the underworld crime syndicates) believes in witchcraft & demons and how they seriously dealing with these horrifying issues. But I guess as an indie flick initially there were some problems with the background music as sometimes it seems there were no sounds in the background while there was a conversation between the characters and that's kinda made it bit odd to watch at times. But overall, nice idea with lots of gore but could have been a lot better with a better budget, I guess.

Somewhat 70's European style an erotic vampire flick with a very simple story about a nice writer guy Paolo falling 'desperately' in love with a hot vampire lady named Djuna & things starts to get kinda 'steamy' after the arrival of Djuna's trouble-making sister Mimi in the mansion. The two hot French hotties on the lead made it convincingly 'watchable' till the last frame of the movie.

willard (2003)
Just seen the remake of this movie, I thought this movie being made in early 00s would be a lot better then first movie and a lot more stuff to happen in the movie and better done
I didn't think the willard (1971) was great movie, I thought it was decent movie , I do think that movie was much better then this remake.
I need to compare to first cause I only saw that 2 days ago, so in still really Fresh in my mind.
I didn't really like this remake, cause willard bit stranger in bad, I found it a little confusing at times in the movie, I didn't really buy in connection with Rats at all.
I didn't feel sorry as him as much I did feel sorry willard 1971 movie, they did a better story in this movie, when you get to warm to willard but in this remake it dose not happen, Felt they missing of the story in the movie.
I got be fed with willard as he set up traps after the rats did him favor, That didn't seem to make sense to me.
There are some scenes I just found silly, when the Cats come in the room and runs to chair and then turn stereo on which starts playing Michael Jackson Ben song
That made me laugh so much, I found scenes very funny.
Why did they mess up with the ending, first ending was so much better, This remake had me appreciate (1972) more.
The acting this movie was decent but some of the scenes the acting just way of the top at times, it ends up looking really silly.
4 out of 10 Worth watching once!

Evil Dead (2013)
Im very biased as my favorite movie is the original Evil Dead, but for what it is the re make isnt bad. I actually enjoyed it, but it definitely doesnt touch the original. I know every horror film likes to use the tag lines "the scariest" "the most terrifying" etc. etc. but I really kinda expected a bit more brutality in this. I do appreciate the nods to the original that was here and there, but it was totally different than the original. And while I did enjoy this more than most newer horror films, I still feel like it kinda seems too mainstream and go with the flowish. The original was more balls to the wall and fuck it lets do something different. But again, its not a bad movie, I would have probably enjoyed it even more had it not been called Evil Dead. 4/5

It's was not as good as remember it but I didn't found the movie well paced, it dose not take long at all before the Rats start to attack people.
About the middle part of the movie is gets little calm but more rats start to attack again
and I really liked scenes on Train, The rats covered the whole train , was really cool scenes.
The attack scenes were not to bad or that great. they went not to bloody but first attack was good a bit bloody at the start. as movies goes on the attacks scenes seem less bloody but a lot rats on the person getting attacked.

http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p433/sanjidparvez/Painless_zps534b7596.jpg
This is a slow burn Spanish thriller with some horror elements that finely manages to interestingly blend two very different settings and times in Spain. The story moves back and forth between the central character David's present-day investigation to find his real parents and a sanatorium in Catalonia during the Spanish Civil War and yes, there's an obvious connection between them. The sanatorium houses imprisoned 'painless' children, whose innocent investigation of the world around them often has dangerous or bloody consequences as they have been given little reason to fear anything in life like fire, knives, animals...which are simply toys to these children. The storylines rarely seems predictable and is usually captivating but the narrative does drag a bit in the middle.
I was expecting something spectacular like Martyrs and it didn't turned out anything like that at all but it definitely wasn't bad either. Like today's any fine Spanish horror or thriller movie this is also a pretty well made, good dark-thriller but that fairytale like ending was bit of a disappointment though. Overall, I liked it.

"OZ, The Great And Powerful" (2013)
Plot:
When shady circus magician Oscar Diggs (James Franco) is hurled away from Kansas into the wonderful Land of Oz, he thinks that fame and fortune are his for the taking. However, three witches -- Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams) -- remain unconvinced that Oscar is the great wizard that the inhabitants of Oz need and expect. Reluctantly drawn into Oz's epic problems, Oscar must find out who's good and who's evil before it's too late.
Phantom's Review: Highly entertaining fantasy film. Good performances from the cast, excellent direction by Sam Rami and amazing special FX.
The nice thing is, you can believe these characters will actually grow into the iconic characters from the 1939 film.

Tales from the Darkside: The Movie (1990)
What a awesome anthology, one of the best , I have seen in recent weeks, I loved it!
The movie start with A witch who ready to Cook boy but want to read some scary stories from the book called Tales from the Darkside
Frist story Lot 249
Is about student, Bellingham who whats Revenge after being framed from two people in Class and at he finds A mummy which he bring to life to kill them
The mummy didn't look too bad at all, I did not expect the Kills to be a bloodily as they were. some really decent Kills scenes in this parts.
This segment flowed really well and The twist, I did not see coming at all, loved that twist of the story, also found it really funny.
8 out of 10 first story!
The second Story Cat from Hell
Which I think was the best out of 3
Old man in wheel chair hires a Hitman to Kill a Evil Cat.
The cats scenes were really well done, They did make the Black Cat look evil with the hissing sound and the attacks were not to bad at all, yeah, they may look a little bit dated now.
Some of effect this story were great, I love the cat come out body, gross, I am sure that be stuck in head for few days after this movie.
10/10
Lover's Vow (Weakest of the 3)
This started of really well, the creature was very strange but it didn't look scary at all but Kill scenes were really well gory and bloody again, which i really liked
Then the story got a little predictable and new twist, 10 years before it happened, I could hide it a bit more.
I liked how the twist came out, very nasty gory scenes, really well made .
7 out 10
The ending of the movie, I find that ending very cheesy, it kind of felt out of place a little
This as got to be my favorite anthology so far
I give this one 9 out of 10

Watched this with a mate on Blue Ray - neither of us had seen it since it came out. Enjoyed the hell out of it - its trashy as hell, with the most heinous fashions and some fine racial stereotyping but despite all the this the film is NEVER boring. Dolph played a better Castle than I remember too.

I knew nothing about this going into (which helped) but this is an interesting enough Crime/Heist gone wrong drama. It takes it cues from Tarantino (in particular R.Dogs) but it has enough original touches to be interesting in its own right. Anyway, its worth watching to see MArk Hamill chew the scenery up as a camp, lecherous version of Oswald Cobblepot.
Forget about Danny Treyo or Michael Biehn in this one - blink and you'll miss em...

It's all starts of with Car chase and two people end up in the Some kind bar, when one of them is demon who after some Huge Key and other get stuck inside with person being chasing the person.
This movie was a blast, I loved, it, I wasn't really sure at the start of the movie, where this movie was going but as this movie went on, it grab me and never let me go.
There was some really great effect in this movie, I loved of Bloody gory effect in this movie, some were really gooey
There were some really scary Scene that will make you really Jump, I jumped few times in this movie.
Really well paced and I loved the way the movie ended!
The acting in this movie was really good!

The Last Exorcism Part II (2013)
I did not like the first one at all, I thought one of most boring movies I Have seen, Did not once get scared or creeped out at all, I thought it was The Worst Exorcism movie but then we suffered for even worse with Devil Inside 2 years later!
Least this Last Exorcism 1 had some scarce scenes at least and tense moment in (Which Didn't work for me as saw them coming) and there in that movie unlike Devil inside and this sequel to the first movie
Nell is trying to put her life back together and she has blocked out all things that happens to her in the first movie but soon they what her back again.
This was really bland from start to end, there was not one moment that actually felt anything scary was going to happen any where in the movie,
The only good think I can say about this movie is that, last 10 minutes of the movie was so-what watch able and something was finally hap ping in the movie and again it wasn't that scary at all and most of that scene see the trailer .
I didn't mind the movie ended but story didn't really end!
Yet another movie that show 95% of movie in trailer, Just watch the trailer skip this movie
One other good think I can say about this movie is that the acting was really good from the cast but shame about the rest of the bland movie.

Today I saw two anthology movies and both of those movies were called Camp Fire Tales lols
Campfire Tales (1991)
This is very LOW movie, the movie did look cheap, I don't let that get in the way,
As this turn out to be really decent after all,
3 boys about 12-14 years old go camping and then Bum or Home less man Join in and then he tell them 3 Stories
The first story is about Young couple who making out the woods hear on the radio that o that a murderer with a hook on his right hand has escaped from the local insane asylum , So boy takes to her Home.
This story wasn't to bad but It didn't feel creepy at all but there decent a mount of blood in this story, Which made it more watch able.
4/10
Next story was about two stoners who are looking for some drug and run into this strange guy who's selling these drugs.
They take but next day, they notice them are rotting away slowly before try to get more before they rot away.
The effect was not bad, very decent for low budget movie,
5/10
3rd story is about Man who come home for Christmas soon, he want is mother money so he kills her by pushing her down stairs so he leaves and goes to brother house to watch his kids
One kids tell story evil Santa Claus known as "Satan Claus look who comes and punishes those who do evil things.
When kids go to bed and then he stalked by someone, until come face to face with Satan Claus
This story sound really good, they could I have done a lot more then that, Satan Claus was not that scary at all
The acting was not that good in that story and it wasn't really that bloodly at all.
3/10
The Fourth and Finally story was pirate, who been shipwrecked and another Man warn the pirate about Zombie pirate if find the buried treasure but I as didn't care for what man said , he digs anyone and finds it.
Soon Zombie pirate are out to get him and they don't look bad at all, they some make up effect looked really decent and some looks a bit odd but I don't think there scary at all.
Then boys goes sleep and there is a little small twist, which anyone could see coming.
None of the stories were that scary or creepy at all they just watch able
I give this movie 4 out of 10
Now the second movie which Was Also called
Campfire Tales (1997)
This movie also starts in Black and white and also start with The Hook Man yet again!
A Young couple who making out the woods and this time Girl thinks she see something out side and then she fews time and tell her boyfriends to take her home, He didn't believe her but then he stop at Diner and then he looks back at car and he see there was a Hook on the car Door.
This story was being told by some teens in a car and the boy who drive-ring the Car and then start messing around by going too fast and then trying to Avoid another Car and end up crashing into the bushes.
As they get out of the car they go to this old Church that had been torn down and tell 4 stories
The first story is about a married couple in a RV who end up getting in Stuck in the wood and soon just start to have Sex but soon catch a guy looking at them and that guy warns then about a creatures in the woods.
As they go off but then the RV runs out of gas cause there was leak and soon
Attack are seen but its very dark that you can't see creatures that well at all, I wish they showed more of creatures.
I did not find this story creepy or scary at all, I did like the last scenes was really well done
I give this story 4 out of 10
Next Story is about young Girl who was Chat online, not knowing that she was talking to a Psycho, who starts to stalk her, while she is home alone and breaks in to her home.
This is one was really good and it some really good creepy moment in this movie, it kind hint of the old slasher movie feel to, very well made.
The last 2 minutes of this story was really good and the Psycho looks really scary
8 out of 10
I called the next story The Ghost story.
A man is riding is motorbike and then soon stop near to House, when it's rains and he enter the house, then he falls in love with girl, soon strange things start happen in the house.
He finds out the place is haunted and there another twist in the story!
I thought the last story was very boring and very predicable , I thought it was the worst of the a lot.
After that story was told, one of teens See Police flashing lights, which lead to a twist in the movie.
i Loved that ending cause I didn't see it coming at all.
Really good movie

An Iron Man flick with J-anime makeover! But loved that Punisher entry...
Iron man: "let me handle this, castle."
Punisher: "why donch you get the hell of the way, iron man? This is nothing to do with the rich idiot who dresses like hot rod.":D
Overall, it was bit too long. Not one of the best of DC & Marvel's recent animated films.

http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UfBuoU-W5wg/UEiY483C13I/AAAAAAAABLc/mRPsJ0fyOoo/s1600/alexandra+project.jpg
A man comes home on his birthday to expect a 'surprise package' only to find a video tape left for him by his wife in his now seemly deserted home.
I thought this started well, but it kinda lost me a bit by the end. The lack of sympathetic characters didn't help (or maybe that was the point). still good film though not a patch on the Bad Boy Bubby (by the same director).

Evil Dead (2013)
This remake or reboot what ever you what to call it, it not as bad as other Classic horror remakes like Friday, Elm street and The Omen however I don't think was good as other remakes such The Hills have eyes and TCM remakes.
I did expect a lot more from this movie after all the hype it got, I thought there would have more gory then it was.
I thought there were some good decent gory scenes which Did like but nothing we not really see before and I didn't really find the demon creepy or scary at all.
The rest of the movie, well it wasn't boring, it was fast paced Before I knew it was over .
Again another trailer that shows the best parts of the movie that lead to the rest of movie not having many surprising moment which makes the rest of kind of predicable.
The acting decent from most of the cast, I could not connect to them at all and effect was not bad but as fun as original
I give this movie 5 out of 10 Average horror movie

Scary MoVie (2013)
I thought this movie be really bad, I do like some spoof movies, I liked the other scary movies and I even some bad one such as Shirke you know what you did last summer, I didn't Not mind Not Another Teen movie , I thought those were decent movies, also really liked Superhero movie but This scary movie 5 is no were near as bad Disaster Movie (2008), Date Movie or Stan Helsing (2009) or Vampires Suck (2010)
Yes is it the weakest of the series
At the start of the movie, they tried way to hard to be funny, yet could have been funny, I don't think Benny hill music really worked with that scenes.
The main spoof this movie focus on is Mama and Black swan and paranormal activity, planet of the apes and there are other spoof as inception and Evil Dead spoof.
i Thought Evil Dead spoof was really funny, I laughed Few times in those scenes as for rest of the movie, I did found some scenes funny and other were Jokes goes a little to long and fall flat a number of times.
I didn't really like how the movie ended, I didn't find ending that funny at all,
I enjoyed it and I laugh a number of times but I did miss Anna, it dose feel a little strange her not being the movie, They were trying to go for a re-boot of series but kinda shot them self in foot with that.
They must of cut some scenes out trailer, Some scenes trailer were not
in the movie.
Ashley Tisdale was decent but i didn't find her too funny as did the Cindy scenes in all scary movie.

What ever happened to Nicholas?
An engaging documentary-thriller that reveals a straightforward tale of identity theft where a kid named Nicolas Barclay went missing on 1994 from his home in Texas. But 3 years later the incredible happened. He was discovered in Linares, Spain. From the very beginning they kept it totally open to the viewer that a young Frenchman was "cleverly" impersonating Nicholas Barclay but the story takes an interesting turn as a horrifying doubt comes to surface...how the family came so readily accepted the impersonation?! What actually happened to real Nicholas?

Absolutely loved it. Big fan of the original and the sequel, plus Tarantino, and this did not disappoint at all.
Christoph Waltz was a hoot to watch. But the moment of the movie for me came when contemporary Django met classic Django:
(01:07:40)
"Franco Nero: What's your name?
Jamie Foxx (after a small pause): Django.
Franco Nero: Can you spell it?
Jamie Foxx: D-J-A-N-G-O.
(turning towards Franco Nero)
Jamie Foxx: The D is silent.
Franco Nero (staring back knowingly): I know."

Blood River (2009)
This this movie as been I watch list for so long.
This movie about Clark and Summer, a married couple and Summer is newly-pregnant, and Clark is worried that her father will be critical of him.
long the way the one of their car has a blowout and Clark is sure that he put spare in the boot of the car.
It's start of really intruding but next 45 of mintues were very slow burner, with nothing much happens and talking to one and other, Where it getting really boring, I was thinking out turn off after that but I clad I didn't!
The last half hour were it's really pick up again and more things start to happen,
You think this movie is going way but they really clever with as total throw you off what really happening.
Really good turn in the story, as I didn't see it coming at all, it kind of makes sense it ending
The acting was really good from the whole cast in this movie.

Salvage (2009)
This was low British horror, with a short cast and short running time only 79 minutes
Movie start off with paper boy, who ends up getting caught for peeking for window, soon we had run for life after that, something should have not seen, that person is after him.
Then movie on Father and Daughter, father is telling is daughter to see her mother for Christmas holidays , Daughter is not happy with her mother but as come home, they could of worse start of off, Which end arguing on street and end up staying with neighbours.
As mother is trying to get her daughter a swat to seem come out of now where and force back in doors, looked thought the house.
For most of time, No knows what really happing and there some brief news on tv for fews seconds but I wasn't to sure what their were saying on news but powers goes out.
Thought the movie, she tries to get her daughter and she goes thought a lot to their, their was decent bloody moment in this movie, not gory but can gurgling at times .
The acting was great from the very Small cast and ending up movie good but I kinda of knew that was going to happen.
There were dull moment in the movie, What bugged me at times was, This place the movie was set looked so familiar and then hit, this was same set of Brookside the Axed soap from UK!

I know you maybe thing this sounds just like "He Who Kills" one of stories in Trilogy of Terror.
This is doll not were near as scary at all , I found the doll a little to nice to be scary and Kill were just dull as it same kill thought the movie.
The whole movie felt empty but thing nice about this was Karen Black started in this movie, which was only funny think about, as it not her first with doll like this.

Saw Evil Dead at the weekend. Went through a few phases with it. I spent the first twenty minutes thinking it was rubbish. Then the action kicked in and I loved it. Then I hated it towards the ending.
When I woke up the next day, I looked back on it and I think I loved it as a one off. I'm not sure I'd watch it again but it was fun as a one time viewing.
I did that with Cabin in the Woods too. Hated it at the cinema, but woke up the day after and thought about it, and realised it was actually amazing.
Just watched that today too, the scene with all the different monsters etc. is incredible. Especially the unicorn. :)

Mind numbingly boring piece of total crap.. I was wanting to watch a comedy, I didn't laugh once, almost switched it off after 30 minutes, but gave it a second chance then when it got to an hour I was going to switch it off again, but the movie had dragged me into such a deep state of apathy from it's nothingness that I couldn't move to grab the remote and so watched it until it switched itself off.

On the plus side it was nice to see RZ tackle new material and go in different direction. Also SMZ acting in was too bad either.
They were listed in the credits but I didn't see Sid Haig or Michael Berryman anywhere...
That spooky music was pretty spooky too.
Also The new Evil Dead - pretty disappointed but I had high hopes for it.

I was honestly very impressed with this - Loved the updated story, special effects, and makeup. This movie was definitely gory and brutal and had a few moments that really eeked me out - It made me jump, it made me cringe - All in the right ways. (Roshiq's sig is TOTALLY one of those moments that eeked me out!)
Also, Jane Levy as Mia was a LOT of fun to watch - Perfect in that role. I also think that it was very successful in NOT recreating an Ash character - That was a standout point for me because, well, you can't recreate Ash.
Small issue with the film - I wasn't a huge fan of Shiloh Fernandez as David (though the issue could have been with how his character was written) - I thought that the character was a bit lame and made some pretty bad decisions... Also, the end REALLY dragged on a bit.
That being said, I really liked it and I think it's a must-see for every horror fan out there, be you an Evil Dead fan or not.

May I Kill U? (2012) it came out on 11 January 2013 (UK) I don't how I missed this .
This is British Horror however it's more like Dark Thriller with some dark Humor mixed in.
This movie start with scene from the UK riots 2011, how these thugs took over.
Baz (He a cop) and is partner are cycling, one of thug from th gang throws something at him, that makes his bike tip over and then Baz hits his head on the pavement.
Which lead him having some really bad head aches now and again / Baz is so fed with these thugs, so he had another idea how to clean up the street.
Baz turns into psycho cop, Who kills people, that have been doing bad things, while he kills these people, He also films them with his helmet cam, then post these videos on the internet with fake name.
Though out this movie, we see him text and twitter tweets and he ends up gaining a number of followers on twitter who are happy about what he is doing.
I found this movie to be very intruding, I really liked this movie, nice clever plot to the movie, with one or two laugh and moment but i would not call it comedy at all nor did have much horror.
The kills in this are just violent but not bloody or gory kills, which I thought could made this movie tad darker then it already was.
The acting was really good in this movie from whole cast!

I dunno whether it's my shit taste in films or the fact I was on my 4th can of cider but I really enjoyed this film. It's way better than the first one - Michael Jai White has a good knack for invoking the feeling we once enjoyed watching 80's martial arts films. It also teaches you the basics the rubber guard and the fight scenes are pretty good too.

Finally seen this movie, I been looking forward too remake if more then Evil Dead remake this year, It only been about 6 or 7 week since I saw Manica (1980) I thought it was very decent gory movie.
This stray really true the Original movie, this time tried to make a lot dark with the whole POV angle was not bad at all, it could of be better, It gave intense scenes for the first half of the movie as the movies , I did get a bit bored of POV.
The acting was better then I thought it be, I thought Elijah Wood Great Job playing Psychos, he was very believe-able ans creepy in this movie, yet I do think it was to young to play this role, he still did great Job but still not as good as Late Joe Spinell who a lot more psycho mad.
I was little disappointed with the gore-wise in this movie, not much until near the ending scenes of the movie, which I thought decent but again not as gory as Original or as fun. (That scene also confused me cause,Spoiler: when the dead women were ripping his face off, there was another face under Elijah Wood (Ends)
I liked how they gave a bit of the back story in flash back, in way it's make sense why he is doing what he is doing.
I going to give this movie 7 out of 10

Yes, but there are the ones who love their Resident Evils & Underworlds more than the Repulsions and Requiem of a Dreams. That was for them. :)

The Experiment: Who's Watching You? (2012)
The movie is about Mary who just low or Jon at strip club after arguing with her husband who just dump her, which makes her horny.
So reach low bottom and get place for self, not know she be watching by some ones, who gives her drugs .
This a really bad movie start with some positive stuff there 2 things that I actually liked in this movie one was when title came on screen and screaming in background of those scenes.
Also so of nudity were nice in the was okay in the movie, the rest of the movie was very boring, I didn't like how the movie flowed at all.
Scenes to cut and movie to next scenes and some scenes just drag on for far to long which add to the boredom of the movie and we get the most pointless rape scenes ever and kills the Guys who been watching her and then we she old pills in front her, then these flash black of just happened 30 seconds ago and then we see knock out couch, This was 61 minutes mark of the movie and that when credits start to roll
but then she get to guy talking about why he made this movie in between the credits, I could not care what the hell he was on about!
The acting from the lead is really bad as was rest of the cant
I am watching and reviewing this movie at the same time

The Helpers (2012)
Well the cover of this movie made me think it was one of those hand held camerae movies The Last broadcast/ PA movies.
So I was little surprised when I watch it that it wasn't but how the rest of movie is basically same plot at vacancy that meet the cast of Hotel.
I was bored with this movie, I could not get into these movies at all, the death in this movie were so carbon copies of other deaths in other horror movies.
The acting from the whole cast, I don't maybe one of worst acted movies, I have seen, it even worse soaps actors.
I just clad this movie wasn't long then it was and I could get care less About one in this movie.
2 out of 10 The only reason I watched this cause I was bored, Don't make the same mistake!

Man. I had been looking forward to this for quite some time, but I have to say, I was ridiculously disappointed. I actually liked the concept - Pulling some pretty great and well-known horror directors together to do a series of short films... But ultimately most of the films were disappointing or just plain lazy. I'll pull out some highlights (and low points):
High Points
I is for Ingrown by Jorge Michel Grau (We are What We Are)
Really intense, dark, and well-acted.
L is for Libido by Timo Tjahjanto (V/H/S)
Very disturbing, in a Visitor Q sort of way...
P is for Pressure by Simon Rumley (Red, White & Blue)
The only movie that gave you a true dark character study
V is for Vagitus by Kaare Andrews
Good scif- short
X is for XXL by Xavier Gens (Frontiers)
Absolutely brutal
Y is for Youngbuck by Jason Eisener (Hobo with a Shotgun)
Disturbing and well-done
Low Points
Self-Indulgent, self-referential crap:
Q is for Quack by Adam Wingard, Simon Barrett <-- Reminded me of everything I hated about Rubber
W is for WTF by Jon Schnepp (Metalocalypse)
R is for Removed by Srdjan Spasojevic (A Serbian Film)
Odd-random-"disturbing"-crap (I'm soooo over weird Asian movies)
F is for Fart by Noboru Iguchi (Machine Girl, Mutant Girl Squad) <-- I thought Iguchi was overrated with the aforementioned films and now I'm just done. This film was just garbage.
Z is for Zetsumetsu by Yoshihiro Nishimura (Tokyo Gore Police) - Siiiiiiiigh. Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein girl was enough of a turn-off - This short was just offensive, but not in a clever or amusing sort of way. Gag.
H is for Hydro-Electric Diffusion by Thomas Malling - This short should have been better than it was.
And pretty much all of the other pieces that I haven't mentioned were relatively forgettable. WOW what a waste of talent.
HUGE disappointment.

What!?! I thought it was from upcoming American remake of Carved aka A Slit-Mouthed Woman (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0891520/)??!!

I haven't seen new EVIL DEAD flick but from the trailers/clip & screen shots, it seems the quality of gore looks kinda poor (quite jucy instead of thick).

http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p433/sanjidparvez/DraculaArgento1_zpsd544da20.jpg
The most horrible part of this movie was CGI effects. The characters were very one-dimensional & dull but the effort was fine regarding adapting Stoker's timeless classic with a kind of different approach. Anyway, that hot chick Miriam Giovanelli (https://www.google.com.bd/search?q=Miriam+Giovanelli+hot+pics&client=firefox-a&hs=dyZ&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=u8F-UYCrF4P4rQf00IDYBw&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAQ&biw=1366&bih=639) was very impressive and quite fit to play any Bond Girl role, IMO!

Continuity was a bitch from the get go, I didn't really care about any of the characters and it lacked any and all charm that the old one had.

Marra is of to scattering her father ashes at a remote part of Oregon's beautiful Rogue River.
She is interrupted by some stranger and then finds that car as be taken away.
The stranger then takes to his house with his girlfriends and they both tell her to stay their for night.
This movie just felt really boring, I didn't really find it all that intense at all but they did try to make a bit, I don't think worked out that well at all.
I found the whole movie very predicable as knew already what going to happen and how the movie was going to end way before the ending of the movie.
The acting wasn't bad at all, some decent acting from most of cast, I did laugh some scenes, I not sure why!

The Devil's Carnival (2012)
I not fan of Musical horror, i just about like The Nightmare before
Xmas, it was one of the only musical movies that I liked.
i Liked the open scenes of this movie, 3 different people, who are
being asked to open the door.
Then soon end up in very strange place and get even stranger, when this
weird stranger people start to dance and sing in the movie.
There might be some catching tunes in this movie, that may stay in back
head for few days after seeing this movie and I didn't like some songs
at all, found very dull, there some decent singer in this movie, so it
not too forced
I did seem to drift away from time to time while watching this movie as
never kept hooked as the little plot this movie had moved very slowly.
The acting was really good this movie, which I Did not expect, it was
fun watch that for sure and it dose go on for too long to repeat same

An interesting indie horror that's already got some rave reviews from different horror communities in its pocket. It requires careful attention from the viewers though the premise seems very simple. But I'm not sure whether it's capable to satisfy every other genre fan for its unusual 'drama-like' approach & 'the ending'.

The plot was like somewhat a cross between our favorite classics like Rosemary's Baby & Argento's 3 mothers' stories but I think it's by far the most frustrating flick from RZ. Though it's got a good cast, budget & few decent set designs and even the story actually got a bit of potential to show some bloody-bizarro twists & turns but disappointingly it turned out quite flat with uninteresting characters & very low on gore & body count which is also I think, pretty unusual for a R. Zombie movie.

I could not stop laughing though out this movie, not cause the jokes were funny but the movie is self was so awful on so many levels it was about Hilariousness bad

The rest of the movie was just.....
The animals attack were so bad, they are stuffed up animals attacking people and if not stuffed up there are some really bad effects, it's has to some of the worst effect I have ever seen in this movie, which make this movie even more laughable.
The acting in this movie is also really horrendous form most of the cast in the movie.

"Warm Bodies".
I liked it...I mean look it's a zom/rom/com and it's no "Shaun" but, it's still definitely worth a watch.
Quite depressing in parts, ridiculous in others, bit of schmucky romance thrown in too...but it comes together nicely.
Great and rather interesting eclectic soundtrack going on as well.
For those that don't know, the book it was based on was meant to be a spin on Romeo and Juliette.
While I can see the similarities it stands on its own just fine.
I enjoyed it. I'd give it a 7.

Which version? I watched the 1980 version this week. I did the same thing as you -- it got a bit slow in the middle and I was having trouble staying awake so I stopped and watched the rest the next day. I ended up liking it; the ending is great. But due to some less than perfect pacing in the middle, and I'm not sure his romantic interest was all that compelling, I give it 7/10.

Maniac (1980) & (2012)
http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p433/sanjidparvez/Maniac2in1_zps826d3c2b.jpg
I have seen the original Maniac only once before; so after watching this Elijah Wood featuring 2012 version I just instantly decided to revisit the original to make a 'fair' comparison as I could hardly recall anything about that 1980 cult classic. One thing I was pretty sure that William Lustig's clinical take on Joe Spinell's script didn't actually impressed me first time but that was about 6 to 7 years ago when I was quite newb as a horror movie viewer. Anyway, I think Joe Spinell did his best to portray the titular character considering his caliber as an actor back in the early 80s. For those great special effects from a young Tom Savini the film was quite effective on visual display of violence & gore as it was intended but it may not that good of a horror film in compare to its other particular subgenre of movies. But still 80s Maniac is recommendable for honorable mention as it's little more than just a nasty little Grindhouse flick, IMO.
Now, about the 2012 version: though there are some similarities in plot elements with the original but I think it deserve to be categorized as a re-imagining remake. Partly scripted by Alexander Aja & directed by Franck Khalfoun (P2), there are some fine changes or modifications they made regarding character attributes & plot developments in this new Maniac. And I appreciated that from the beginning to the end. To bring the viewer into the mind of a rampant lunatic, they shot the film almost entirely from the first-person perspective of the title character where Elijah Wood on the role still shines convincingly only through reflections on mirror & glass, dream sequences & photographs as one fractured young man. It was brutal and I liked it and I think some of my favorite HDCian friends here...V, Chrono, Newb, EC, Ferox may also going to like it.

The Dead Want Women (2012) (V)
There first half of the movie is the back story of Lady who seem to being having a party.
I then find out she been rejected and that to kill everyone shoot everyone in that room with a gun.
There was some nudity scenes in first half of hour of the movie not much in the second half of the movie.
The start of movie was based 1920's and Decades after, 2 Girl who planing the selling this house.
Get caught up then those Dead Men from past come back to haunt them,
I thought the make up effect were not too bad, they could have them bit more scary there they were.
The acting not that bad, I was expected very bad acting, it not un- watchable.
The movie was very boring thought, I was again drifting away from time to time, while watching this movie.

Zombies Vs. Strippers (2012)
This is yet another full moon picture, I still think was tiny improvement on The Dead want women.
They could have this movie at more funny then it was, well did make me laugh one or twice.
The rest of the jokes felt way to force and they lost or the funniest even before the jokes ended
For a zomebie this movie wasn't as gory as I thought it would be and there zombie make up effect didn't look that good at all.
The first of half the movie was very boring as it got to know this people are who were all very annoying.
The acting he want to expect from this movie not good at all but it's not unwatched -able
I am giving giving this movie 2 out of 10 caused it made me laugh twice with two decent jokes.
Greystone Park (2012) also know as The Asylum Tapes (UK title)
I don normal mind these Hand-Held Camera/Documentary Horror, I seat thought a number of them, Yeah some movies are good and some are really bad and boring.
But this movie I found everything to be very annoying from the start first of the movie is too dark, that can't seem to see what the hell is going on.
For few moment I thought I sat on the remote and turn TV off by mistake but I Know i didn't cause these banging noise now and again coming form the TV black screen,
If wasn't the Darkness of movie, it very annoying fizzing pictures that come on way to often in this movie, This movie just came a really bad headache.
The part of the movie you can actually see in the movie is last 2 minutes of the movie, which was only decent part of the movie that may someone Jump if this was their first horror movie and the ending was very predicable and boring.
I don't if the acting was good or bad as I couldn't really tell but scripts were really bad too.

With such an acclaimed director as Tarantino (whose movies I LOVE), it's really hard to go into a film without comparing it to the rest of his body of work, especially since there are so many common threads lacing between them - Thinking on Django, here you have a vengeance film, as was the Kill Bills, and as was Inglorious Basterds to a certain extent... Then you have more direct comparisons - In Inglorious Basterds, Tarantino is killing Nazis and avenging their victims... Here in Django Unchained, Tarantino is killing slave owners in a pre-Civil War South... So it's hard NOT to compare Django Unchained specifically to Inglorious Basterds.
With that off my chest...
Django Unchained was good. Not the mind-blowing experience that I had with Inglorious Basterds, but it was good. Not surprisingly, Christoph Waltz was really great to watch... Leonardo DiCaprio was fantastic, and Tarantino sufficiently builds tension when necessary.
That being said, I thought the movie was oddly flat - Could be that with Tarantino and the billed cast, I had high expectations - But considering his history, how could you NOT have high expectations... I don't know, I'm ultimately conflicted here as I think back to Tarantino's body of work from Reservoir Dogs to Basterds and this just isn't as impactful as his other pieces, or as impactful as it should have been. I was really disappointed.
Good, but not as great as it should have been.
3/5, I guess, but probably because I am biased and have a hard time giving Tarantino lower than a 3...

1) Hopefully now this will make the 2003 Marcus Nispel directed remake (my very favorite guilty pleasure) & the 2006 prequel version TCM: The Beginning (loved it too) "damn good films! or may be even epic" to those ardent fans of the original who so far hated or didn't like the 03 & 06 versions at all.

Wow did i ever hate this. The story is rushed and the dialouge is forced. The entire movie doesn't even feel like an Iron Man movie. Tony is barely ever even in the suit. I was okay with them making Tony seem weak and having his problems but the whole anxiety attack thing didnt go anywhere and they didnt just make Tony look weak, they made Iron Man look weak. The suits kept breaking all the time making Iron Man just look disposable. The addiciton metaphor fell flat too. I liked that they gave dialouge and personality to the henchman though, that was a nice touch as was some of the jokes but others fell flat and were ill timed. Speaking of personality Don Cheadle had absolutely none and Robert Downey Jr really didn't seem to be into this movie.
Here was my biggest problem though:
SPOILERS:
They turned Mandarin into a complete joke. Mandarin is Iron Man's biggest Villain and the previews and the setup in the movie makes him seem like an impressive, badass villain and then he turns out to be just another dumb joke. I wouldnt have been as mad at Mandarin turning out to be a front for Killian if they hadnt made Mandarin so damn stupid. Once that happened i didnt give a damn about the rest of the movie. Also the scene at the end was stupid and just another dumb joke. That's all this movie was, a joke. Also i really hated how in a quick scene, they had him getting the shrapnel removed. It made the plot of the second movie pointless.

This girl is jogging and talks to stranger and then stranger attack her (Meanwhile she is be investigative by someone)
But turn what see is not what we should believe in and they stop the well, this funny silly dark ghost comes of well and pull the man in but then it turns out that not truth at all, cause there was no ghost, only the girl!

This as got to be one of worst acting movie I ever seem, I was thinking of turn it the movie of just after 5 minutes in the acting was really bad and then acting just got even worse and makes this movie Very Un-watch-able
As I did't see the full movie I don't think I will even try to watch this movie, as I don't there enough beer in world to seat thought this movie.

This movie had some creepy elements and a decent twist but they weren't enough to save it from the annoying female lead, bad dialogue and the horrible dark to light filter throughout the picture.

NIGHTBREED: THE CABAL CUT
This was a real treat. The story of the studio's butchering of Nightbreed against Clive Barker's wishes is legendary. A member of Barker's production company discovered cut footage a few years ago and using the shooting script, assembled a complete version of the film in secret. After showing his cut to Barker, the director asked for only four small revisions.
Since then, the restoration director has been touring with the new cut at film festivals and horror conventions, to great acclaim. The film is vastly different than the release version, and restores Barker's vision to his adaptation of his novel "Cabal."
Barker wanted to make a film about monsters in their own society, where they were the good guys. The studio wanted... well, the studio wanted a slasher film, so they demanded reshoots expanding Dr. Dekker's role (David Cronenberg's only acting role.), and reducing the monster plot. The Cabal Cut restores the monsters, and cuts out a lot of Dekker.
For now, the only way you can see the true version of Nightbreed is to be lucky enough to see it at a festival or con. I just saw it tonight at Portland's HP Lovecraft Film Festival, and was blown away. This is an amazing film, and if any of you have a chance to see this, by all means do so.

They have distributorship lined up for the US and England, but they don't own the film. They need somebody to buy the film from Morgan Creek, which is not really motivated to sell. One can always hope, though!

About a week ago, watched a zombie movie, Exit Humanity, which takes place just after the Civil War. It was not bad at all, although not as compelling as The Walking Dead. About a few days prior to that, my wife wanted to watch Apparition. Three words come to mind: "Dull, Dull, Dull". My wife didn't care for it either and the ghost movies are usually right in her wheel house.

Rammbock: Berlin Undead (2010)
This is so know siege of the dead (2010) is low budget infected movie from Germany.
I did not expect much from this movie at all but turn out to be surprising good.
Michael as come to see his girlfriend in Berlin but then he finds out that people have infected by this unknown virus. This is only 59 minutes long, just under an hour, this movie was really fast paced and some really good decent tense moment in this movie as well.
The infected were really welled acted and liked the whole foaming thing from mouth and this movie wasn't really gory at all, the bite moment that looked nasty but nothing liked head being torn at all of shot in head.
I really liked the idea of flashes from the camera that was nice turn for the infected movies and there was surprising moment in this movie that I didn't see coming at all,
I really liked that scene. Great acting from the whole but I not sure what of stranger infected hugging Scenes,
I am giving this movie 8 out of 10
Cockneys vs Zombies (2012)
This as to be one of the best zombies movies I have seen in long time, ones of the funniest zombies movie I ever seen.
I really liked how the movie showed how the whole thing started as most of times movies don't normal show you as it started .
I cannot remember the last time I laughed so much in horror movie, I thought this movie was absolutely Hilarious from start to end of the movie,
there were great really funny jokes in this movie that worked really well and don't fall flat at all.
There were very decent gory moments in this movie that some of the gory will be over the top to make look really funny at the same times.
I thought acting was really good from most of the cast, there were some over the top acting scenes of from some people in the movie but that down side of the movie to me.
I loved this movie!
I am giving this movie 9 out of 10
DeadHeads (2011)
This was nice twist on zombie movies, Which I don't think it's be done before but I found the first half the movie very funny at times.
As the movies goes on, I didn't really find some of the jokes that funny at all, I got really bored in the middle of the movie.
I didn't really thing the movie was that gory at all for a zombie movie, there maybe body Parts being pulled there some strange moment were zombie guts were used as a rope
The acting was really good from the whole

The Lords Of Salem.
Not quite as bad as Halloween II, but pretty close in my book. I have no doubt like Halloween II it was my first and last viewing. He could have made it into something unique and interesting, especially with the cast he had, but I felt it just fell flat and turned into a snoozefest.

Any Day Now
Stars Alan Cumming as a female impersonator, set in the 70s. He and his partner want to adopt his neighbor's Down Syndrome teenager. Of course, with it being the 70s, there's all kinds of prejudice against them, even though the mother is a crack whore. Very sad ending, which I won't give away in case some of you watch it. Cumming's New York accent was a little iffy at times, sometimes he sounded like Elmer Fudd. I was able to overlook that by the intensity of his performance. I recommend it.

Long Weekend (1978)
Huge fan of killer animal movies and this as been on watch list for a few years, I really looking forward to this and the remake, I was going to watch them back to back.
This movie takes while to getting going, I don't mind some slow build up unless there go some where.
I found most of this movie very boring, the couple were very annoying, who could not care less if they were killed by these animals.
I Felt bored and frustrated throughout the movie, even Animals attacks scenes will really dull, Could have been done better!
I don't think acting the was bad, why would make two couple so annoying they you wish they do get killed.
The last scenes was bloody Joke, it's actually funny!
3 out of 10
Long Weekend (2008) (This is a Remake of Long Weekend (1978)
The movies 93 % scene from scenes remake, with some twigs here and there in the movie.
I was not fan of the 1978 movies at all, I found it very boring and dull, I thought the remake would be better, I do think remake was little better then the old one.
I liked how they didn't didn't really drag the first 30 minutes and start movie faster pace the the fist movie, also enjoyed some scenes they added in this movie, I thought it was very decent scenes.
The couple in this movie are not very nice people at all, the nasty one and another and mother nature, I could not get less if they were killed or attacked.
The original had one think this movie never had was some good actors, Annyoing but they could act unlike this actors who were really wooden in most scenes,
The ending of the movie, I thought the ending oringal was funny, this one even funnier and bit more gory as well

It captured the horror and trauma of the family very well, and, although not in the league of Close Encounters of the Third Kind, was a good watch in it's own right. I liked how they kept things subtle and didn't keep all focus on the aliens, instead went for the anguish of the family instead.
More people need to see this and appreciate it for what it is. The unexpected ending might be a bit cliched, but then most films try to emulate this to score at the BO these days.
I give it a thumbs up, and a recommendation.
