I just had the random idea pop in my head that it would be cool to see an R rated version of the Wizard of Oz that is much darker, violent, and psychedelic.

The Emerald City would be entirely steampunk inspired and the poppy field leading to it would actually be acknowledged as a poppy field rather than just a field of flowers.

I would want it to take place during WWII and rather than Dorothy being a spoiled brat who is running away from home she could be a worker like any other girl her age during the depression.

I think it would be a neat idea.

Sounds cool! She's not helping in the war effort, she doesn't care about Fascism or freedom... just clothes, shoes and boys. And the world of Oz has constant symbolic representations of Fascism and the horrors of war.

I am leaving Thursday for Las Vegas for xmas and new years. Then I am going to stop in Denver for 2 weeks, then to Mardi Gras. I really dont want to sound like a racist, but every African American I have encountered on my trip has been an unbeleivable piece of shit. About 2am the bus became full and this guy sat next to me and a few minutes later told me his "girl" was sitting up front and wanted me to switch seats with her. I told him no and he got this real cunt attitude. The entire time he and his "girl" were on the bus they didnt even interact even when we would stop.

You should find out the cause. From research we know the vast number of murders are personal, victim knowing murderer well. If that's the case here, you don't become safer by moving somewhere unfamiliar to you.

You can find out by calling local news reporter, county clerk, possibly police depart.

If it's drug/crime related, then you should be more concerned. Might consider sharing what you find out with landlord, & talk about ideas to make it safer. A Community (apart) Watch group makes a huge difference on crime activity.

Well, he took me to hang out at his friend's house. A couple's house. And his female friend said that she was really overprotective of him because he was like a brother to her. And that he never brought girls over. At the end of the night before we left she wanted to exchange numbers so that we could all hang out on new years. So she was making plans for us. And I just said ok. I did not make any plans with her involving any of us. I also should add that he has a son. He's only like 5. And she was involving him.
I do not have kids. Not that that really matters I guess. But the fact that he does matters. So maybe he got freaked out by that.
But I never tried to push anything on him at all.

And that he never brought girls over. At the end of the night before we left she wanted to exchange numbers so that we could all hang out on new years. So she was making plans for us. And I just said ok. I did not make any plans with her involving any of us. I also should add that he has a son. He's only like 5. And she was involving him.
I do not have kids. Not that that really matters I guess. But the fact that he does matters. So maybe he got freaked out by that.
But I never tried to push anything on him at all.

That being the case, I assume you had told him the woman asked to make plans for New Years, and not you. There's a chance he didn't like you "appearing" to make plans for both of you without talking to him first. That's not unusual for anyone. It's the "appearance" that counts, cause that's all he has. When she asked you to come to New Years, of course, you could have said, (or may have said) "I'd like to, if BF is OK with it. I don't know what he has in mind." But I don't think it's a big issue.

OK, got ya. That being the case, I wouldn't look too far into it. I mean, really, could he mean he never wants to marry again? I doubt it. People change their minds about "getting serious" really fast.

If you needed to know, you could ask him to explain what he means by it... but, I'd suggest, the fact that he SAID it to you, it likely means he's open to dating other people (even if he doesn't act on it)... meaning, he's not centering in on you.

So, I'd recommend to you what I'd generally recommend to anyone who is not in a spoken exclusive relationship: date other people. I'm not saying tell him you're dating others. I'm saying don't talk about dating others, and really date other people. Because unless he's trying to manipulate you, he's telling you he's not "all-in" on you, which is a milder form of "not that in to you".

Not that you would, but don't respond to what he said with a competitive instinct, to "make him" all-in. Just get to know him as a friend and date other people.

Over the years christmas has produced some excellent songs. I have a weekly on-air radio show, so I bust those out for one 2-hour show. But generally won't listen to a chistmas song unless it's a new song, or a great artist...

I think some of the best are "Carol of the Bells", "Do They Know It's Christmas Time-Band Aid", "Jingle Bell Rock-Bobby Helms".

Bloofer is right. Earlier, ships of this general type sunk slowly. And a number of trips could be made from the sinking ship to rescue ships.
