Can't deny I do look forward to full moons (as an added bonus I work night shift so it's more pleasant to work under moon light than complete darkness), and two in one month is just double the fun. But I do wish though that there was another name for the occurrence than 'blue moon'. I've seen red moons and orange, but never blue. That'd be so fucking boss.

Oh, I didn't know that. Just wondering, plus, you posted this 'poster' from "New Perspective", so I was assuming it meant something more than just "hey, a 2nd full moon this month". Seems like it's something special to New Perspective, but I don't know why.

Certainly agree with you about animal lovers. I don't care what anyone's other hobbies are, if they abuse animals, that right there is a red flag. I might collect skulls, but I obtain them through finding them, not killing them.

All the more important, for a film like Unfriended, it's not a Nineteen Eighty-four remake, it doesnt require a PhD of film to gauge its intricacies & value; you know what I mean?

I typically don't like the user rating because a lot of people either vote 1/2 or 5 or just don't know how the rating system works and will just put a random vote. Even if it's bad, it's a unique idea on a modern take on real world events with teen suicides and the bulling that leads up to it many times. Very true. Im glad the Horror genre seems free to try new things, but the slasher got boringly formulaic real fast.

The original Halloween is the only excellent film of the series. (critics/ratings confirm that assertion). A lot of Horror fans like them all. Halloween 2 has some effective moments, but coincidentally, doesnt develop likable characters. Even lovable Laurie is reduced to a blubbering mute who simply moves to different rooms; while even The Bogeyman & Loomis arent developed.

Sure, sure, some folks can ride the repetitive titillation of kills &/or titts, & dont need anything else from a film. Thats just more films for them, but that doesnt make them good films, nor good Horror films.

With Halloween 78, I was into the mysterious development of the Boogeyman. (Myers did have character, the supernatural elements, falling & getting back up, wearing mask, tilting his head like a dog, not speaking, stopping until he put his mask back on... made his character not Michael Meyers but a man becoming the Boogeyman.)While it also developed the other characters. You saying Horror is better without it? "Horror" without story is just porn. Im not less of a Horror aficionado because I know porn is lacking.

I like good films from any genre. I like the character development in Halloween 78, Shindlers list, Alien, Fight Club, The Ring, whatever, that only enhances my appreciation for the elements & execution of good Horror. Like I said, char development or likeable chars isnt a requirement, but leaving it out doesnt mean its good Horror either.

So I downloaded a fun app called 'Quizup'. I'm addicted. Blame the boyfriend.

I of course look up any horror topic I can think of. Horror movies was one of the first... apparently I'm terrible with horror movie knowledge (I don't give enough fucks who writes scores, tried out for what part, etc). But I'm KILLING it with the Monsters and Halloween quizzes. It gave me back some horror fan confidence anyway. ::big grin::

My hours are bizarre too, but I like it that way. I used to work nights and I loved it. Especially grocery shopping at 4 am. The store was always so empty, with the right frame of mind I could imagine i was shopping in a post apocalyptic, zombie ridden world!

For some reason I like abandoned/post Apocalypse atmosphere, but I do not like zombies or the whole Apocalypse aspect part of it in general. I just like to think of myself as a creature of the night, and everyone's asleep and I need to slink home before dawn before they wake up and ruin my perfect day.

Lucky! When I'm at work I can leave when I have what I need to do done. So I rush it and just go the fuck home.

Mountain lions are not uncommon in these parts... I've seen 3or4 over the past five years on my property. The neighbors all come runnin' out with pistols and shotguns and I'm like hey it's cool don't kill it!

A good boat will cost me a couple of thousand at least. An Island? I'm assuming that's going to be just a littleeeee more expensive than my current cost of living. Another $70 or so for the Captain Jack Sparrow costume I'll no doubt have on if I'm going sailing. Why marry a rich person? The world Chico, & everything in it. It's not a requirement personally, love over money any day. Marrying rich may help when it comes to my irresponsible shopping habits though. And I'd like to have enough money when I'm 50'ish to keep a barely legal cabana boy to play with, should I get bored.

How early is too early for buying pumpkins? My hands are itching for Jack-o-Lanterns and I want good ones this year instead of buying up the rejects the week of Halloween.

I think that an uncarved pumpkin keeps pretty well. Not an expert on the matter but I've bought pumpkins in September, and carved them in mid October and they were fine.
