I hate fucking vehicles. Picked up a 1994 Cadillac Eldorado with low milage and near mint condition for $3500 last year......last month i had to get the transmission rebuilt for $2500.

Went to pick up my son after band practice the other night in my wife's van and the fucking steering went...fluid leaking all over the place......took it to the mechanic and much to my delight....it was only a power steering line.

i hate them too ... really really hate them.

it was the transmission that went on this thing too (for the 2nd time)
actually there was a list a mile long wrong with it - all things that should have been fixed by the dealer but they fucked and fumbled around with it so long that the warranty expired. fucking crooks.

i'll sum up my experiences with this fucking dealership and post it here some day - it's quite a read.

Vol. 1 is easily the best, with classics like Buck Privates, but vol. 3 takes a close second.

How're the films on vol. 4? I'm kind of hesitant to buy it, and it's more expensive than the others.

4 is essential as it has 2 more monster features on it (jeykll and hyde, and the mummy)
but it only has one other film (keystone cops)

the other 3 features are behind the scenes and best of features..

strange that it would be more expensive.

i think #3 is the best one for 'meets frankenstein' alone

The "Frankenstein's Bloody Terror" DVD is the coolest thing ever, or one of the coolest things ever.

Also, I miss Abbott and Costello meet Dr, Jekyll and Mr. Hyde--one of my favorite A&C monster features.

I just got thru with the VHS boxsets and enjoyed it but was dissapointed there was no closure by the end of the episodes, must've been cancelled before they got the chance. You get a bit more of a insight into the Planet of the Apes world. The series had a Kung-fu thing going on which I dug. Yeh I didn't know there was a animated series either till I read about it on the back of the last tape...... gonna be a bitch to track down on VHS tho I'd say.

The one on the train? You mean Mystery Train? I recommend it, some great preformances in that one from Joe Stummer, Steve Buscemi aswell as Screaming Jay Hawkins and Rufus Thomas. If you dig the whole Memphis Sun Studios kinda deal you'll get a kick outta this flick.

Blah. Whenever I go out to buy a ceratain movie, they never have it and I wind up getting something else. Oh well, I got a raincheck for Se7en and FvsJ, then walked over to Wal-Mart to browse...

I love finding mis-tagged items. I got the Masters of Horror 2-Pack for $12 CDN...it's supposed to be $19, but they tagged it wrong:D. I was going to wait for the inevitable boxset, but I actually like this way better. $20 every couple months is better than $80 or so all at once.

No official word on it yet, but I would think they'll probably release a box once all the 2-packs are out.

I own the other two but I have NEVER seen, "Sasquatch: The Legend of Bigfoot." But I would like to! I have actually not heard of it, and I have sort of a casually strong interest in Bigfoot movies. That is to say, I am not an "expert" on Bigfoot movies, but whenever I come across one, I am always willing to sit down and watch it all the way through, no matter how bad it is.

Sometimes, as in the case of "Creature from Black Lake," the film turns out to be surprisingly good!

But now I have to go grab one of these triple feature sets so I can see "Sasquatch: The Legend of Bigfoot."

The reason I picked it up was because I too had not heard of the movie and after reading customer reviews it sounded like this movie was tough to find.

I want to pick up Creature from Black Lake how would you rate that movie?

Well, here is some guy's review of that movie:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0074356/usercomments-11

Oh, but you may want to try to find the Simitar VHS release from many years ago.

There's a recent DVD release you can find on Ebay; it's okay but I noticed it was a TV print, shortened by a minute or two. The Simitar VHS release is as far as I know complete.

Supposedly there is a widescreen DVD put out by some company but I have not been able to find this.

By the way, I think I may have seen "Sasquatch: The Legend of Bigfoot" on TV, way back in the late 70's! It might have been a similar film, but back then I watched all the Bigfoot movies whenever they showed 'em on TV. They were great.

Yeah, the scene I definitely noticed was missing from the full-screen DVD I got was a conversation between Rives and Pahoo, as Pahoo worries that the girls invited to the camp aren't gonna show up. It's a good scene and I'm pretty sure it was just snipped for time and because it had no serious effect on the story.

He gets so damn sidetracked and tells these irrelevant stories that seem only funny to him, and each of which take about 15 minutes to tell.

Yah, that's what I have. Great transfer of the actual film, just dissapointed in the features...or lack there of. You'll see what I mean.

And yah, what the hell does the ''2000'' mean?? Was that, perhaps, the year Lynch wanted 'Eraserhead' to take place in?

Have you read the book Angel Heart was based on, Falling Angel by William Hjortzburg [I probably spelled that wrong]? Ive pimped it alot around here, but thats just because it's one of the best books Ive ever read, abd is alot better than the movie. And I loved the movie, so that's saying something. I guess it wouldnt be as good after seeing the movie, considering you'd already know the ending...but still, great book.

No I haven't read the book. I'd be keen to check it out. I usually like to see the movie first then read the book because you've got an image of the characters in your mind but the writer gives you different insights in the characterization that the director didn't.
9/10 times if I've read the book first the movie is dissapointing American Pyscho was one example and the Basketball Diaries didn't impress me either.
