Watch Dog: Legion PS4
From the get go I didn’t give a fuck about the story and after 10 hours of gameplay that hasn’t changed. Despite the massive map of London and the possibility to play as every single person who walks around on said map the game is just a bore.

Assassins Creed: Valhalla PS4
To begin with not as colorful and interesting a landscape to explore as Odyssey. Just a fairly big map of mountains and snow. But thankfully that's gonna change when you end up in England.

I've been playing Last of Us Part 2

So far there’s 2 things I really like about Valhalla.
1. The Settlers addition to the game.
2. The HUGE but invisible skill tree. I really like that can’t see from the start what your skills will be. It’s like opening a present each time you reach another branch and there are sooo many.
Bad things.
Game feels very rushed. The animations aren’t as good as Odyssey and it’s buggy as fuck. Also climbing down stuff can be unbelievably difficult and the camera can be really frustrating while fighting. All annoyances that will probably be fixes soon with patches. Lots and lots of patches.

Started on "Concrete Genie" finally.
Interesting idea.
Bit slow.
You can kind of feel how "old" it is, I bought it ages ago AFTER it took forever to come out.
But yeah, it's heartfelt...simplistic storyline...nice enough to look at.
Pleasant music.
Dunno if I'll continue or not.
On PC, I've been playing "Terminator: Resistance" which I have to say is probably one of the best (not that the bar is high) games to come out of this franchise.
Time and again, I've been let down.
In fact, the only ones I actually LIKED were the 16-bit versions of Terminator & Terminator 2...and even those had their shortcomings.
So T:R, good sound, the T-800s look true to form, as to the large flying ships.
The "other" robots they've introduced are a mixed bag, not bad.
The music is decent, though nothing really new. (Still think the best Terminator related music was the cool synth score in T1)
The combat is pretty standard FPS fare.
Visually...aside from the facial animations which aren't great and some pretty simple vehicle models, it gets the feeling of the "post judgement day" wrecked world. Everything is largely settled, but it's empty and smashed up.
I'd say it FEELS like you're in the future Terminator world, which I like.
Storyline is not bad, new characters, No "Connor" stuff for once.
Thus far I'd give it a 7/10
Steam has it on sale at the moment. It's not horrible.

I'm looking forward to playing this one. The storyline is supposed to be the best considering all the movies after T2.
On the other Terminator games, I only remember the Sega CD game which I thought was good at the time. And the T2 arcade game which was fun for an arcade shooter.

Immortal Fenyx Rising PS4
Assassins Creed in the world of Zelda.
Of Ubisofts’ 3 huge open world games coming out within the last 2 months this one speaks to me the most. It’s got all the things I’ve wished for in the newer Assassins Creeds. More monsters and supernatural elements. I also like that the game doesn’t take itself too serious, to say the least.
And why did Ubisoft decide to release their big games at the same time and so close to the release of Cyberpunk 2077 you ask? Because Ubisoft are business morons.

Been playing Lego City Undercover with the wife and kid.
It's yknow, "more of the same" as the majority of any of the other LEGO games, except without a movie franchise involved.
Plot is whatever.
Humour is actually pretty funny at times.
Lots to do/explore.
Accessible for all ages, good for those learning games (she's 6 now) and manageable for almost anyone to pick up and play, except maybe amputees.
Another quality effort.
7.5/10
Untitled Goose Game
I have to say, I like this one...what I've seen of it so far.
You're basically a trouble-making goose...that seems to mess with humans, and that's about all.
It's not easy though...a lot more thought process involved than would be implied by the simplistic cartoony presentation, at it's heart it's a puzzle game.
Good family game. It's funny. There's a goose. What's not to love?

In the old days you couldn't get away with a lot of the buggy game releases that are fixed with modern patches. Companies pushing to sell games for the holiday season to the large audience. Ubisoft is known for that sort of thing.
It might finally bite that Cyberpunk company since people are getting refunds. Although it will probably really hurt on their next project. I have a feeling that the mass audience doesn't care that much. But the real gamers and people who help sell the game will. Also, their financial support companies will too.

dead rising has too many annoyances, though i love the style in a whole different way...mall zombies, everything is a weapon, the photography, creative psychopaths, and the comedy horror.... dead island was awesome! Though not perfect .. I never beat the sequel riptide tho, but i have it on ps3, and the first one on ps4, may have to give it a try, and also get back to ps3's dead space aswell while im at it...
I still prefer resident evil zombies. Dying light was also fun,
Don't forget Zombie army, I was addicted to zombie army trilogy....

I am almost done with DEad rising and its only the 3rd day, quickest i've ever gotten through a dead rising game, it is not an easy game made for everyone, but once i figured out the flow I was creating techniques in my head throughout the whole game, ways to zombie surf (jumping at the right time to get away from the zombies haha), aiming weapons, and overall little systems you have to get used to which makes it more complicated than other zombie games.
first zombie game I ever played was zombie ate my neighbors! on snes,

I'm going to give up on God of War...I just do not like it.
I mean, I like the storyline and everything, just in comparison to the earlier titles the combat seems simplstic, sluggish and well, boring.
I hate the over the shoulder perspective as some will know about me, but I thought I'd try...because up until now I have loved the franchise and really wanted to make a go of it...
For me, how a character moves around and how comfortable you are with a control system etc is a fundamental part of my enjoyment of a game...it can be great otherwise, but issues like this are like wearing a pair of nice shoes with a pebble stuck under your foot...I can try to ignore it, but really it's just a constant irritation.
Can't help but feel "If it aint broke..." about this to be honest, and just every time I play it, I encounter the same feelings about it.
It's disappointing to me, because just like RE4, something came along that made changes that I hate, and the rest of the series just f'n stayed like that.,
It's a pretty game, I will give it that. The voice acting is solid, and they appear to be telling quite an interesting tale, perhaps moreso than the games that came before it, but what can I say...I've tried it 3 times now, twice recently...and it's not like I wasn't making progress, but...I'm just done.
I'll be watching a longplay...but yeah unless future GOW titles are more along the lines of the other ones, I will consider the franchise to have ended after #3.
Rant done.
Next up: The Outer Worlds

Damn you dont like many games do you...
dead rising is not for noobs or people who get bored/annoyed easily of games, its a hard game and in some ways a terrible game, but i had alot of fun with it all at the same time once i got the initial flow of it, it was easy to beat for me i tend to beat most games i play, besides games like dark souls and fuckin subnautica........some games suck ass the more you progress.....anyone ever play....no man's sky....aka the biggest disappointment in gaming ever(debatable) hahaha
now that game i guess turned out alright with the new patches/additions to it now u can drive stuff around idk didnt try it i was too pissed at the original version when it first came out,it gets worse as u play it realizing youre just wasting your time chiseling at rocks and creating parts for your spaceship (booooring), and its repetitive nothing throughout the whole game....not to mention that guy lied so much about the games features before it came out and than hid in a hole once everyone realized....

I’ve never been a good gamer so I don’t like games that are too challenging (souls games) and also I’ve never been a fan of games that are too repetitive.
I really liked Subnautica. Thanks to the internet I managed to beat that game. Didn’t get as far in the sequel tho. Maybe because it was all the same once again. But I might give it a second try or a third as I love the concept.

Bit Grindy and annoying, having to keep yourself alive while scavenging bits and pieces to build rafts, farm, make fuel, kill sharks etc....on your way to (it seems) fixing up a small plane on a broken ship.

That’s how I feel about all survival games.
It's kind of like, I get that "in such a situation" one would have to make sure to eat, drink, stay out of the sun etc...but it's a double edge there...because while I appreciate the game for these things, it steers me so much into the territory of "yeah...but this isn't game stuff...".
Love/hate.
I like the structure, control, order and it gives me something there, just...it kind of feels like it isn't thr stuff of gaming. Maybe one in VR would be alright. I feel like that's a genre that would actually work.

I noticed last night that The Forrest has been made VR. As I already own the normal version the VR game will have to be cheap before I would consider trying it out. But it’s the right kind of game to make VR.
And speaking of VR, I just got Oculus Quest 2 (wireless). THAT’s the future of VR. When it comes to pixels it’s a bit better than PS VR and their game catalogue really isn’t impressive. But it’s wireless which makes all the difference. There’s so much Technology behind these goggles it’s impressive. I can easily see them being used for AR games, which would be really sweet. Horror AR games.

Far Cry 5.
It's ok. I haven't played one of these since the first one.
I don't really like the direction the series took tbh...loved the sci-fi/movie feel of the first one and then they just went and grounded the rest of them in (relative) reality.
The whole open world thing is cool, but then I just get to walk around for ages between any levels/hot spots, and having to choose/find missions is a bit annoying and splits things up a bit too much.
It's not bad I guess.
Also I just got this delivered, not yet played:

As suspected the game is a mix of 4 and 7. Needless to say, I like it a lot so far. It also seems inspired by Outlast 2, but thankfully you're able to fight back this time.
A nitpick would be the graphics that doesn't look quite as good as 7.

Far Cry: New Dawn.
Not really sure why there was so many changes in how to use the weapon wheel and contruct things, and such a change in the combat/difficulty. It's like playing a different franchise. Weird.
Storyline ok.
Basically a couple of female Negans.
Game looks pretty I suppose.
Not liking it too much in all honesty.

Nah, just re-skins of existing ones in pretty colours that are for the better part, harder to kill. I have been killed by pigs several times.
The whole game LOOKS pretty cool, aethetics are like the one thing it truly has going for it. I mean, I like the storyline well enough...just...feels like they made certain things more annoying.

Sounds like Far Cry 6, which I didn’t get far into.
My problem with the franchise is that the games are too repetitive in gameplay for how big they are. Same problem I have with Assassins Creed and a general problem with most open world games.

I didn't think 6 was out yet.
You mean 4?
Yeah it's definitely a bit fatigued...so is the entire open world games thing I think...
If they'd kept it along the lines of FC1, decent story, few scifi elements...they could have done better.
Must be hard with sequels though...

I was thinking of Far Cry 5.
My favorite is FC3 only because of the nature and animal life. Still didn’t get more than halfway through it.

For a free title, knocked together by a small team, it's stunning just how much it blows the opposition away. They have taken what was wrong with the genre and fixed it in PoE; what was right, they have made even better. With Exhalted orbs playing is even more exciting. Uusally get them here (https://despize.com/poe/).
Same here! I must say that there are only a few really work-of-art-level games out there with some unique features. That's why I still prefer to play old-school games like PoE.

Been kind of playing through "My time at Portia" with the kid.
It's...just a game where you essentially wonder around, picking things up, and run a "shop" where you make things.
Lots of crafting. Small amount of combat. Exploration focussed.
Kind of an "easy" game. It's not horrible for a kind of early game for kids.
Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus.
I just got done playing the first one again, and thought I'd save the "Old Blood" one for after if I'ml not fatigued of it by then.
I have to say this is one of the most excellent relaunch/revamp series I've ever seen.
I can't comment on "Youngblood" as I turned that one off...but the core series and storyline is excellent, the combat is great too, amazing reality they've thrown together and yeah...the whole thing is just very worthy.
I know there's a lot of ROTC fans (I'd recommend "old blood" for you) but in my mind this absolutely tops it.
Looking forward to the supposed third and final installment.

Spent the weekend playing Resident Evil 7. I skipped it until now due to not liking first person but finally relented with Village's recent videos (bought the RE7/8 package).
I've beat the game twice now and enjoyed it much more than i thought I would. But it really didn't feel like Resident Evil to me. At least not until somewhere around Marguerite's boss fight.
At the moment I switched to gta5grand (https://gta5grand.com/). The 1st impression is awesome, frankly speaking!

The glamour of the roulette wheel can sometimes make it hard to see the bigger picture. While the game offers plenty of excitement, responsible gambling means knowing when to walk away and sticking to a predetermined budget. For those seeking additional tips and resources on maintaining gambling control, https://mudarock.com.br (https://mudarock.com.br) is a great site to check out. 😄 Remember, gambling should be about enjoyment and not about recovering losses or seeking financial gain. Keeping a clear perspective helps you enjoy the thrill without letting it affect your financial well-being. Enjoy the game responsibly and keep the fun in focus!
I recently retried Starfield on XSX. A number of issues had me shelve it again. Enemy ai (shooting at me inside a sealed building from the outside) and generally terrible in fire fights, cringe writing from the get go, terrible lighting and HDR and awful performance in places (brilliant in others). There are moments when I wanted to really like it, but there's always something annoying me throughout. Thankfully played on GP.

I recently replayed Gears 2 and Road to Ruin and I agree. It tried to do some interesting things with semi-stealth segments but I feel it was a bit too repetitive and didn't really fit with the tone of what happened storywise prior to that segment. So I can understand why they decided to cut it. I haven't played Aftermath (and Judgment in general), but planning to catch up later this year
