True Blood

Has anyone seen this show yet?It drags alot but the story line keeps me interested.

LOVE True Blood. I agree with you about it dragging - I thought that the first season was slow and that Anna Paquin could NOT act her way out of a paper bag (or successfully put on a Southern accent), but that the second season has been a blast so far - fantastic new characters, multiple story lines (as opposed to the single one of last season), and new beasties to uncover. I'm LOVING this show.

The latest episode of Harper's Island

I thought that my boyfriend and I were the only ones watching this one. My little summer guilty pleasure. Wrapped itself up exactly as I predicted it would... Loved it in all of its cheese... Whatcha think?

Watched the first episode of a new HBo show called Hung.It's to soon to say whether it will be good or not.

Watched the pilot. My first impressions:

It's a vehical for Thomas Jane (or, "The Shark Rangler" as I refer to him from his star role in Deep Blue Sea). Any Shark Rangler Vehicle makes me dubious, and this show proved me right; he doesn't exactly have the acting skill to carry a show.
The concept itself seems pedestrian and immature; something that I'd come up with as a screenwriter in high school or college, thinking that I was being "risque" or "edgey," but ultimately it's just ludicrous and far-fetched.

I was not impressed. HBO could and should do better.

Yes, I am officially addicted. I actually really liked the show last season, but I've read the books and loved them, so it took some getting used to. This season though, I just love it. Still not crazy about the casting of Eric, though I think he is finally starting to grow on me (haha).

Yeah, my gf and I thought we were the only ones as well. It was kind of hard going at first, but the show got better as it went along. And the final episode was satisfying enough. We're both big fans of Elaine Cassidy (Abby).

I've been watching Season 1 of True Blood.I'm on episode 3 I only have 3 disks right now...borrowing them from library..hopefully when I'm done with these they have the other disks I need.
I'm pretty impressed with it,basically anything with a vampire I'll be happy with.

Breaking Bad Season 1 – Dunno about this one. I enjoyed the first episode, but the second was slow and bland. The third ep will be the decision point: if I don’t like it, I’m not going to bother with the rest of the series.

I thought the same when I started watching it, 3 might be a bit slow as well, but you should definatley watch episode 4 and make your decision from there.

Breaking Bad Season 1, Disc 2 – And I’m done. I just don’t care. I see what they’re trying to do with the plot and the characters, but it’s too forced. I’m not sympathetic to the main character’s position, nor am I convinced that he has no other choice than to cook meth. I wanted to like this show, but couldn’t.

...normally, I wouldn't give a flying fuck about this kind of thing, but I was lucky enough to be a production assistant for the Saint John auditions, so it was pretty cool to watch the finished product. Really interesting to compare actually being there versus how it's cut/edited/pieced together/switched up for TV.

The Doomsday stuff? Prepare to be pretty let down...
Then go get the animated feature "Superman: Doomsday" to make up for the fight, how it should have happened.

I've been watching a show starring Ron Livingston (Office Space) called "Defying Gravity", and really enjoying it.
Watch it if you can deal with sci-fi that's not immediately filled with aliens and explosions. It's taking a fair bit of time to establish plotlines (bit like LOST...in space..ha) but yeah, it's pretty character driven.
While there's been no major "edge of your seat" moments thus far, there is just a very cool storyline evolving, and ongoing weirdness presenting itself in a variety of ways. I feel like I'd be spoiling it if I said too much.
Decent cast, and some nice eerie shit going on. I quite like the musical score, and the "ship" is pretty interesting to look at.
Oh, and no stupid "cliffhanger every single episode" shit.
It's a tad slow to pick up but I'd recommend it highly, I hope this one works out.

I really liked SFU, I think I haven't seen the last 1 or 2 seasons though, I think it'd make for a pretty good complete box-set collection...

Just watched the latest "defying gravity", AGAIN, I think this is a great show.
A sci-fi show that doesn't try it's best to WOW you in the first 5 minutes - To say not a lot has happened might have it sounding boring, but absolutely not...for me it's one of the most watchable sci-fi series since (the completely awesome yet totally different) Firefly.
It's like...sci-fi drama almost...?
But yeah, give it a chance if you see it on, it's one of my favourite currently running shows, for sure.

outer limits. its a good show. it was about a president that was seeing and hearing this lady that was telling him the plane was going to crazy and he needed to jump out to save himself cause he needs to be president so he jumps out in the end and it ended up the lady was from the future and it was her job to make him die cause he is going to ruin it later. AWESOME!

Watched the double episode of NCIS that introduced the LA guys, so that I could catch the premier of that. I haven't watched it in ages as I've missed a fair bit and wanted to catch up on dvd, but it was good to see again.

Stargate Universe, first two episodes

Decided to give this a try on the basis that Robert Carlyle was in it. It would appear they have gone down the BSG style and it looks interesting enough for me to continue watching it, for now at least.

i like stargate, but it seemed to me they stretched out nothing within the first two shows. like if they were checking if the ratings were high enough to do a third. I dont know....

There was enough there to keep things moving and I actually quite liked the fact they didnt have a fast paced, explosive opening. I do wonder if I will spend too much time comparing it to other shows though and not judge it on its own merits.

American Chopper in a pawn shop in California. Owner Mike is a history buff and people bring all kinds of weird stuff to his shop to sell. Also on hand are Mike's crusty, cranky dad, his son who's a bit of a moron, and his son's friend Chumlee who is really a moron.

This lady who has been in and out of the justice system runs the nation's largest pit bull rescue facility, along with her two smokin hot daughters and a crew of parolees she hires. Her goals are to rehab the pit bulls and find homes for them, educate people about pit bulls and how they're not the demon breed the media makes them out to be, and to help the parolees she hires get a second chance on life. It's really pretty inspiring.

Canadian home renovation expert Mike Holmes helps home owners who've been ripped off and taken to the cleaners by bad contracters get their homes fixed up. He usually ends up literally gutting their homes and starting over. It's apalling to see how much bad work is done by bad contracters and how it ruins the lives of their customers.

LAUNCH MY LINE (Bravo)
This is a reality series where teams of up and coming fashion designers are teamed with a fashion "expert" to try and create a fashion line that will actually be marketed. All of the designers and experts are terrible, vain and petty people, as are the experts and they bitch and kvetch at each other endlessley. This show is a train wreck. It's the same as watching a really bad movie to see how bad it can be.

If you haven't seen heroes season 2, you may be a little disappointed...it was during the writers strike and IMO turned into a big fucking mess.
Though 3 was an improvement and 4, or whatever the most current one is, was pretty interesting.

Yeah, it did seem to jump around allot. But I still liked it allot. I'm glad 3 is an improvement. The only thing I didn't like about season 2 was that it was so short.

I don't think I have. I missed it Friday, i'll catch it this week though. I can't wait to see it again.

Angels & Demons- Not really a Dan Brown fan, never bothered with any of his books so I guess this was never for me really. Thought the first one was just about watchable, when I watched it a while back, but wasn't really impressed by it. Anyway, decided to give this one a watch and didn't really like it. Got to the point pretty quickly where I didn't care what happened just wanted it to end. The Swiss guard dude should've had a big flashing light on his head reading "Red Herring" too, would've been more fun. I wasn't really the target audiance anyway though, so I've got no real complaints.

I Love this show.It's brutal as hell.I just watched the lastest episode and it was even better than the fourth.And yes Raimi is a producer.Everybody should watch this show.

I love the 90's sitcom steryotypes they use as well as the whole design of the show.

I rented the 5th season of six feet under today, only got to watch one episode then I had to go to a house interview. Now I'm waiting for my girlfriend to get home so we can sit through the rest. Maybe we will get through at least 5 more episodes tonight. I'm pretty tired though.

I watched the fourth series of Dexter over the past couple of weeks, I thought it was a bit disappointing, not as entertaining as the previous three. But it still had me wanting more.

Watched an episode of "Community" which isn't a bad show but I don't really see it lasting...

The latest Spartacus (FUCK that!) which was pretty good.

Just now I watched SOUTHLAND which I'd strongly recommend checking out to anybody into cop dramas etc, it could sure use the ratings...

Been enjoying "Ugly Americans" too.

Hanging out on the next season of BBCs "Survivors" and "Misfits".

The Kingdom- Season One (1994). Lars von Trier was made famous in his homeland due to this incredible series, and the proof is in the pudding. The Kingdom is a serial that is like the series ER, but directed by David Lynch and coached by Koji Shiraishi. So far the series works well, with its creepy, intelligent, and humorous style. The incredible camera work that is Lars can be most appreciated here, and that washed out, jaundiced over-color splendidly emanates a sickly atmosphere. i can only hope that season 2 will be just as intriguing.
