To be fair to all groups - I randomly chose 2 Chainsaws and 3 Mad Killers to sit out this Challenge again. They are - Chainsaw Massacre Man and Chainsaw Gorephobia, and Mad Killer Freak, Mad Killer Posher778 and Mad Killer Disease.


All the rest are required to solve this wordsearch puzzle:-

There are 630 points up for grabs in the above challenge. Copy the above wordsearch puzzle and enter your answers in it, THEN send me a PM with the completed crossword in it.

The deadline for sending your entries ends on Friday, 11th April at Noon EST.

You may either send me your entries via PMs, or you may email me at [email protected], mentioning your HDC Nick in the Subject alongwith the Challenge number, for e.g., "__V__ - HDC Battle Royale Challenge #5 Answers."

You can confer with the others about the answers, but EACH CONTESTANT IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT THEIR OWN ENTRIES.


The group which scores the maximum points wins. In case of a tie, whichever group scored their points first WILL win. The Losing group will face the penalty.

That was a very unfortunate situation indeed.

But Battle Royale is all about warriors and fair Challenges. A group initially formed can go through a lot of hiccups and withdrawals, and so it will face several handicaps. That itself is a true test of warriors - how they cope with such handicaps.

I have to remind you all again that this will boil down to an individual contest sometime in the future. It will be every man for himself. If a group continues to suffer setbacks, they themselves must account for it.

I made the reinforcement rule for such situations. Any contestant who does not die in The Zone will be replaced by a suitable member fit enough to take their place in that group.

You are all bound by motives - either selfish or selfless, it is up to you. Remember that any decision taken in a Challenge is taken after a lot of deliberation and with total impartiality.

In the end, the group won't be winning Battle Royale. The individual will. And if you don't question the impartiality of the host, as evident by your later posts, why do you question his decision?

I agree that there are rules, and they should be played by. But the first and foremost rule was agreement to a decision of the host. If you all want Battle Royale on your own terms, then what is the use of having Battle Royale in the first place?

I put a question forth too - Do you want to run Battle Royale? If so, I will ask V to hand it over to one of you, and let him go in peace.

I personally thought it was totally fair. 7 members in the winning group had to take potshots at 10 members of the losing group, who had loads of health packs. In the end, the losers might have survived the Challenge anyway.

Besides, I would like to commend all members of The Monsters Squad. They accepted either decisions in their stride and moved on. I have to say that if there was a fairplay award in Battle Royale, The Monsters Squad win it by a mile.

I pose a question to you "IT", what did the Monsters have cause to be upset over? They had a teammate not turn in answers he was given and they didn't lose. I'm puzzled as to why could be upset at anybody other than Mothman. What if I was trying to intentionally screw my team over (wouldn't happen guys don't worry) as part of the game knowing that I had a tone of healthpacks and that a top threat would be killed on the hunting grounds? Would that not be possible because of the rules? I personally didn't COMPLETELY agree with _V_'s decision but I realized he was trying to be fair and wasn't going to complain (and I'm still not complaining) about _V_'s decision, I'm complaining about your paragraph that supposes that the Monsters have anything to be angry about other than a teammate who assumed he would have more time to play the game than he actually did.

I, like a primitive caveman, have printed out the crossword and am circling them manually. I honestly have problems doing crosswords - always have. Teachers used to give them to us for fun in school... BUT WAS IT FUN?! WAS IT?! NOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Once all 30 are discovered, that's a bridge that I will have to cross. My plan is just to do it in Paint.

The gates were opened this morning to let The Monsters back in yet again...

Tired, ragged, wounded...they trodded back in with heavy steps...all six of them...

We did a quick search near the secret location and found a Monster dead in front of one of their chosen doors.

The body was brought in...and sent to the morgue promptly...



For us to know the identity of that Monster, first of all, lets look at the surprises waiting for them behind each door :


Door #1 - had a hidden sniper behind it armed with THREE bullets,

Door #2 - had a hidden sniper behind it armed with SIX bullets,

Door #3 - had a hidden sniper behind it armed with a Rocket Launcher, with one rocket.


In Chronological order, this is how the Monsters fared :-


FerretChucker - gifted all his 6 health packs to "whomever needed it the most", leaving himself totally vulnerable against the doors, with 0 Health Packs,

Jenna - gifted two of her health packs to "whomever needed it the most", leaving herself with 8 Health Packs.



Jenna - chose Doors 2 & 3, and so got shot SIX times and got a rocket blasted at her...thats ELEVEN bullets worth wounds...luckily she had saved 8 HPs for herself...she survived the ordeal...

Status - Alive, but Severely Wounded.


X¤MurderDoll¤X - chose Doors 2 & 3, and so got shot SIX times and got a rocket blasted at her...thats ELEVEN bullets worth wounds...luckily she had 6 Health Packs with her, and picked up 2 "gifted" health packs, which helped in her near-death ordeal...

Papillon Noir - chose Doors 1 & 2, and so got shot NINE times...she had 6 Health Packs also with her...extremely lucky...

in a frenzy, he grabbed the remaining 5 Health Packs and treated himself to Slightly Wounded status...

I have 8 entries in already. And I am pleasantly surprised to see all of those having done a lot of "research" into Hitchcock. ;)

Plenty more still to come in. Take your time.

To clarify a point - You can only use your arsenal when inside The Zone, and as a designated Hunter. Also, "gifting" of Health Packs is also limited to The Zone, never outside of it.
