Round 12 - The Hunting Season Zone


The Witchblades must have had enough of running by now...but they have lost Challenge #12, and must become the Hunted yet AGAIN.

The Machetes are the designated hunters...and will do the hunting.


HOWEVER...

He has been released, and is lurking somewhere in The Zone...which has been divided into SEVEN parts - A1, A2, B1, B2, AB, BA & C.


You have to guess which area the Predator is lurking in, and send me your guess in the PM which indicates your hunting choice.

NOTE :- Your arsenal which you won in The Reward Chamber in the Last Challenge will stay LOCKED for this Hunt. You MAY NOT use it in this Round in The Zone. Two of you cannot choose the same area. If you do so, the Predator WILL blast all of you with his plasma gun.

A blast from the Flamethrower is equivalent to 6 BULLETS worth damage!!

FAILURE TO FIRE EVEN ONE FLAMETHROWER WILL RESULT IN ALL MACHETES BEING SHOT 20 TIMES BY THE SNIPERS IN THE WATCHTOWERS!!


I also declare the "gifting" of Health Packs rule as Activated, with a CHANGE. Your HPs will be FIRST used to make you Fit (as much as possible), if you are made a specific target. If you survive an attack, then only you can gift your HPs to others. If you are dead, you wont have any HPs to gift anyway.

The Deadline to finish your Hunting ends at Noon EST tomorrow.
That's less than 12 hours from this post...I'm not sure we can get everyone in by then...Especially the kids who are in school and would be asleep at the time of this post, and in school until after 3pm...Hopefully they can do something before they leave for school...

This will probably turn out very badly for us...

since V posted 'Noon tomorrow" at midnight that would technically mean noon EST on Saturday (as opposed to noon EST on Friday which, technically, would mean the same day).

i'd personally prefer the deadline for noon on Saturday. i appreciate accellerating the game but we were told the challenge deadline would be noon on Friday - now the shooting deadline could be noon on Friday. it is, as Rayne said, hard to coordinate picking quadrants and, in essence, it is almost becoming more dangerous to win the challenge than lose it.

so - i support Rayne's suggestion that we get at least a reasonable amount of time to coordinate our hunting - please

Austin obviously had to send in before we had a chance to consult on sectors, so we're ALL going to get shot 15 times by the predator, because we didn't know if he went with someone else's plan or not...By process of elimination, we now know that's what happened

In the future, if ANYONE has to choose quickly because they will not be on later...Please let the rest of us know that you have sent in your choice, and which sector you have chosen so we can eliminate that one

RESULT OF THE OUTING OF ROUND 12 IN THE HUNTING SEASON


The gates are re-opened, and the Machetes walk in with huge smiles on their faces...looks like they had a lot of fun "deep-frying" some Witchblades.

Then come the Witchblades - blackened, some with huge boils, red spots, scars, numerous cuts...they were made a perfect barbecue alright.


The Timeline


- First of all, Witchblade Urgeok2 "gifted" ALL his HPs to whoever needed it the most. That was certainly dangerous...but he knew the change in the "gifting" rule and took the step accordingly.

- Machete Psycom ran into the AB area of The Zone and tracked Witchblade Murderdoll down. A huge blast from his flamethrower and MurderDoll was lit up like a uncontrollable forest fire. Fortunately, her 16 HPs came to the fore and she rolled on the ground till the flames doused by themselves and she treated herself. She was fit, with 10 HPs left.

- Machete Rayne sneaked into the C area of The Zone where Witchblade Despare was hiding. Cornered with nowhere to go, Rayne let Despare have it - a long, deep and cruel blast of her flamethrower. Despare burned and burned, but ran deep into a cave while still on fire, and threw himself on the sandy floor. He had 6 HPs with himself, and all of them were used up in healing. He was fit, albeit with 0 HPs left.

- Machete Dude surveyed the whole Zone carefully, and slowly walked into the A2 area of The Zone. He knew he was on the tail of a Witchblade who had crept in from the AB area. Sure enough, MurderDoll came running in soon after, looking constantly behind her back. Dude was waiting for her. He blasted Murderdoll with his flamethrower, and she yelled...on fire from head to toe. Her hair was burning, as were her clothes. She looked left and right, and to her relief, saw the river. She instantly jumped into it and her sizzling body was doused of the flames, although she had gone completely black with first-degree burns. She treated herself with her HPs, and was fit yet again, with 4 HPs left.

- Machete Return had chosen the B1 area of The Zone. He sat quietly and patiently behind the tall grass and waited. Poor MurderDoll. It just wasn't her day. Surviving two huge blasts from Psycom & Dude, she was right in Return's firing line. Her pleading eyes had no effect on Return, who let her have it full blast. Murderdoll yelped like a dying fawn and jumped into the bushes. She burned and burned, and even her 4 HPs wasn't enough to completely treat her. When the flames eventually died out, she was luckily alive, but Wounded, with plenty of cuts and huge boils all over her body.

- Witchblade ChronoGrl was already Severely Wounded in the previous Challenge. But she had won 2 HPs in the latest Challenge, both used to heal her, and now was Slightly Wounded. She chanced upon a deep, dark bushy area of The Zone (designated A1) and sat down, without making a sound.

A pair of fiery red eyes below red, furry eyebrows looked intently at her.

Machete Zero was licking his lips. He knew he had fucked up the last time he had a chance to kill ChronoGrl, but not this time. He knew she can't survive a full blast of the flamethrower. He jumped down from the tree in which he was hiding, and with a huge whoop, lit up ChronoGrl like a huge bonfire. ChronoGrl was on fire. Panic set in. She was already carrying a deep wound, and the fire wasn't doing anything good to her. She was burning from head to toe and had nowhere to go.

Just then, she noticed something.

Health Packs!! Under Zero's tree!!! (the ones Urge had left as "gifts")

She grabbed a bunch of them wildly and ran down the slope, still burning. She lost her footing and rolled all the way down right into the river, where her body sizzled like steam. She had grabbed 7 "gifted" HPs, which helped her survive this brutal onslaught which might have otherwise taken her life (and her out of Battle Royale). She used all of them on herself in-between sobs and bouts of panic, then swam ashore and fell down on the bank. She then looked up at the sky, and silently thanked the "gifter".

ChronoGrl MIRACULOUSLY survived an otherwise FATAL attack, and was FIT.


- Despare ran through the area marked A1 and immediately hid behind a thick tree. He peered out and watched Zero laugh in glee as he blasted ChronoGrl, who ran downhill...followed by Zero who looked on intently, to see if his victim survived the fatal attack. Sure enough, a few minutes later, Zero cursed at himself and threw away his empty flamethrower in disgust...then walked away. Despare watched him disappear behind some trees, then looked back at the scene. He had already noticed Urgeok's "gifts" in front of him...and slowly crept forward. Leaning down, he grabbed 6 HPs from the bunch and moved forward into the BA area.

Machete Posher lurked in the shadows behind some tall trees...and heard the approaching footsteps. He peeked forward and saw Despare slowly creeping forward, cautiously. He went back behind the tree, took aim, and pulled the trigger. A huge burst of flame jumped at Despare, who had no chance of avoiding the full impact. He was burning badly, and didn't have anywhere to go. The only place left was the grass, and he fell down and rolled madly on it. Posher kept laughing in maniacal glee. Despare's flames were doused a minute later, and the 6 "gifted" HPs he had with him were used up in patching his numerous cuts and boils. He was badly burnt, scratched, bleeding, all blackened...but was ALIVE and FIT.


- Murderdoll was bleeding. She was wounded, delirious, badly burnt, had cuts and boils all over...half of her hair was burnt and gone. She wandered aimlessly, tears streaming down her cheeks from the intense pain...and finally collapsed down a big tree, breaking into incessant sobs.

It was her lucky moment. For that was the same tree under which Urgeok had dropped his "gifted" HPs. She grabbed two instantly and healed herself to FIT status, then gathered 6 more and ran on, right into the B2 area. Finding a big tree with a huge truck, she sat down - tired and bruised, in need of severe rest.

Two pairs of eyes looked curiously at her.

Machete Austin had looked ahead and chosen the central area of The Zone - marked B2. He had walked into it and, finding a big boulder, had sat behind it...his flamethrower ready. As soon as he saw Murderdoll crumble in front of the tree, her body wracked with sobs...he had a gleam in his eyes.

Another pair of bright white eyes curiously scanned the flamethrower he was holding, from the top of a branch of a well-hidden tree behind the foliage.

Austin crept forward, hiding behind boulders...until he was well within MurderDoll's range. He stood up suddenly, and without a moment to spare, blasted MurderDoll wtih full force of his deadly flamethrower. Murderdoll sighed, and fell backwards into the bushes...all lit up. She looked at the sky and closed her eyes, pulling her "gifted" HPs out. The flames died down after a while, and the HPs took their time in healing her. She calmly closed her eyes, and drifted off into a tired and dead sleep.

Austin took the empty flamethrower from his shoulders and clutched onto it. Just then, a blast from behind ringed in his ears.

BLAMMMMMMMMM!!

In the nick of time, he swerved just enough to catch the Predator's plasma beam on his shoulder, instead of full on his chest. His flesh was torn apart, and started to bleed profusely. He threw his flamethrower away and lunged at his HPs, jumping behind the thick tree at the same instant.

The Predator looked on, and then turned around and disappeared into the foliage.

Austin had to use 15 HPs on his immensely bruised and cut shoulder, which had pieces of flesh dangling from it. He was lucky enough to patch himself and his shoulder back...but the immense and excruciating pain almost blinded him. Between moans and sighs, he heaved a silent prayer for having survived a full plasma blast from The Predator.


No dead bodies in this Round of The Hunting Zone, which is a surprise. Although a lot of damage was caused to THREE Witchblades, and ONE Machete.

Mine was...IMDB...Look for oldest date...Make sure they aren't documentaries or shorts...Look for 'horror', 'suspense' or 'thriller' in description...Check google adding the word 'first' to the title...

All with a few other things added in here and there...But...Didn't help much after all

Oh well...That's what's fun about this...The variables...Not being able to tell for sure what's going to happen :)
