Horror Film Query - what late 70s/early 80s horror film is the following statement referring to ?
"One of the guys climbs through the window only to have it slam down and chop him in half. Class moment. Also the head in microwave on full power. Excellent."
It's been bugging me for years!!
Please put my mind at rest!! Thanks.

Evil Laugh and Superstition are different films.
Evil Laugh also has a head-in-the-microwave scene, but the one in question along with the window-decap is Superstition (James Roberson / 1981 USA), which is also known as The Witch.
The film was nearly a 'video nasty' casualty in the UK, but after initial withdrawal under the VRA was re-submitted uncut a few years later.

People usually tend to check the top threads in a section first. Hence the Stickies get more Views.
Maybe the other ones werent made Stickies...let's give this one a shot. If it wont work, we can always un-Sticky it.

A bit of maintenance touch will help immensely too. Like merging any newer threads asking for a movie into this one.
I don't think anyone comes in here and straightaway hits upon the New Thread button, before checking this Section for a similar thread first.

I have been waiting for this thread for a while:D Thanks to V.
Anyway, there was a horror film that I saw a very long time ago on television but I'm not sure whether it was made for TV movie or not. As far I remember it was about a family attacked by some killer plants (more like a giant flower type plant having snake like filament!) on their garden.
Can anyone tell me the title of the movie?:o

Let's give this a try.
I am thinking late 70s to mid 80s film - I am pretty sure it was with George C. Scott (although I could be mistaken), who is a crook and under disguise with a fake eye-patch over one eye. He takes up a job as caretaker in a family, which has a kid whom he is trying to kidnap, or kill.
Not so much horror, as suspense/drama. Can anyone take a stab at this one?

I saw this movie when I was a child, and I cannot recall the name of the movie, nor too much about it. All I can recall are a few scenes, that I may be embellishing slightly since I saw this movie when I was about 6 years old? Maybe?
Does any of this sound like a movie you know?:
I remember that a son lived with his mother, who appeared to be quite older, perhaps in her late 60s or even older (though, this old age may be attributed to the fact that I was young when I saw this movie). His mother goes on a date with this unknown gentlemen, when the son witnesses his mother and this man eating someone in a back alley. The man, and now his mother, had red eyes and pointed teeth. I also remember that the son would chop up the bodies that his mother ate (she was infect with this 'disease' by the gentlemen) and put them in black garbage bags to dispose of. I remember the ending involved a fire in the house, and the mother was on the floor with her back against the wall, telling her son to leave the house and let her burn because she was a monster.
Does this description ring any bells? I've been trying to discover the name of this movie for quite a few years now, and I'm getting quite desperate as of late to figure it out. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Yes! How funny...It's not really age-related (I don't think?). I'm taking a medication that is known for causing "amnesia-like" symptoms? Not sure how to put it, but you get the gist, I'm sure. I have virtually no short-term memory. It's disturbing sometimes and I'm trying to get off of the pills...
What does TCM or TMC stand for? I think someone was referring to a book or movie.

I've been looking for it for the past year and had no luck.
I remember it being a japanese horror film,
It had something to do with drugs that caused people to enjoy and inflict pain on themselves.
I just remember some girl pulling her own eye out with some sort of fork most probably.

Hi!
I am looking for a movie I cannot remember the title. Can anyone help me please?
It is probably from the 70/80s. It goes on in a Hotel, if I remember correctly. There is somekind of creature, a worm like, that slithers. There is a scene where it crawls up a womans vagina, when she is in a bathtub. There is another scene where somebody kisses somebody and the creature changes bodies through the kiss. If I remember correctly, people kinda get a bit sexually enhanced/stimulated when they have the creature inside.
I believe the end is in a interior pool in the hotel...
Sorry for being so vague, but it's what I remember...
Thankz,:)

Ok, I have one I've been googling for a while, and came across this forum in the process.
The movie could have been from the 70's, but I want to say it was an early 80's flick. It wasn't your typical horror movie, and I remember seeing it on the Disney Channel a few years back.
It's about a girl who moves to some old house with her family. The neighbor or the gardener's wife says she looks quite a bit like her daughter who disappeared or died or something. I can't remember a lot of the plot, but I remember the end scene where she is standing in some greenhouse or maybe a mausoleum, and they're performing some sort of ritual to bring the girl she looks like back or something. Sorry I'm so vague, I just can't remember a lot of the plot!
Hopefully someone can end my search, because without a lot of info, I'm stuck!

I got a tough one for you and not only because it's probably rather unknown - I also barely remember anything.
What I do remember is that it's either in a church or in a school (or not), it's about some people that research a weird energy (or not) and that there was a scene where one or more homeless people or zombies that stand in front of a building in a yard and they get eaten or turn into alot of insects. I think there was also a scene where a woman gets drawn into a mirror.
So yeah, that's all I remember, most of it extremely vague, only that it really scared me when I was a kid. I think it must have been a movie from the 80s, but not sure.

Okay, let me test your vast knowledge once again, as there is one other movie I've been trying to find for years now. It's 80s scifi horror with a good deal of gore.
It plays at first on earth, where astronauts brought back something from the moon. Turns out it's some sort of evil robot that uses machine and computer parts along with human parts to build itself up into a killing machine. The soldiers there barely manage to bring it down. Later it plays on the moon when astronauts enter an old alien ruin and encounter more of those things.

Maybe I will try my luck here. O.k. I am looking for two undead monster movies. I watch zombie movies a lot, so this could be two different movies. Anyway, here are the descriptions. Both scenes are in color.
O.k. a scene has a bald disembodied head rested on a ground, the head is human-like; the head does not talk. Another scene has this human-like creature possibly with no eyeballs, but eye sockets, maybe a scientific zombie experiment, but the creature definitely has warts on its cheeks and two marks on its forehead (one is a wavy line and another is an upside down "S" symbol). These are possibly from the original "Dawn of the Dead", but I do not think these scenes are from "Dawn of the Dead" (the remake) or "Land of the Dead."
Any thoughts?

O-k, I will check out "the Land of the Dead" and "Dawn of the Dead" (the re-make) just to recheck, but I do not think the two scenes I am talking about are in those either. I do not even know if the monsters from the scene I am describing are actual zombies. The scene with the disembodied head on the ground might just be the disembodied head of a priest or something (not "Dead Alive", I saw that movie), and the scene with the hairless monster with markings on its forehead might be from a scientific experiment undead monster movie, I do not know, anyways, thanks for trying to help, though.

I need help with the title of a modern horror movie.
I believe it was done sometime in the 80's-one scene was of a couple in a car and the young lady in the passenger seat began spewing her guts out, to the horror of the guy sitting in the drivers' seat.
Another scene involves two guys getting into a fight and one of them winds up on a work table getting a drill bit drilled through his head.
I may be off on the details, but this is what I remember of it.

I saw a film many years ago...I would like to see it again but can't remember the title.
It was British but maybe not Hammer. There was 4 or so stories in the film a bit like The twilight Zone movie. Made in the 70s or very early 80s...
I think there was one story where they drove to a village where everyone became zombies at night.
I think there was a comedy-horror story which was set/or partially set in a bar.
The title might have been 'Night of the ghoul(s)' but when I checked IMDB it didn;t match up...
Any help would be coooool
Cheers!

So this is a recent film and it's KILLING me that I didn't write it down.
It made waves at some recent film festivals. It's a foreign film with a little boy and a little girl (in an orphanage? In a hospital?) and the little girl is a vampire. She has really dark curly hair.
That's all I got. Thanks in advance.

Let the Right One In is my 2nd favorite film of the year. Right behind The Dark Knight and ahead of Trick 'R Treat.
The film is starkly beautiful, moving and has moments of amazingly brilliant violence. My writing partner and I were actually approached about the English language translation - so I have a DVD screener:D but we had no interest in the job - the film was too good to be monkeyed with and I'm certain the adaptation will suffer in the translation.
What makes the film so impactful is the way it perfectly captures the sense of upheval inherent in the pubescent mind. The age of the protagonists is everything to the story - they are trapped in the realm between innocence and experience which allows the supernatural to integrate with the natural world with a sense of magic realism.

The first one, I have no idea about
The second one immediately made me think of Night Of The Comet, but I don't specifically recall a chicken eating scene (that doesn't necessarily mean it isn't there, it's just been a while since I last watched it).
Another movie also entered my head, but I can't remember the name of it...People were turning into zombies (I don't remember why) and a few humans ended up at a small, local radio station...The owner didn't want to let them in because he thought they might be infected...He lets them in, then a man and woman show up...The woman ends up turning and killing her husband and the radio station owner turned into a zombie, too...Also, the teenaged boy saw his mother in the street from the window (radio station was upstairs) and he wanted to try to save her, but she was already a zombie...We watched that one only a few months ago...I'm not sure if it's the same one you're talking about

Posted here in 2003:
I watched one of these not too long ago, it was about a talk show or something. I can't really remember it too well but I wasn't too impressed with it.
The episode you are referring to is the one in which Morton Downey Jr. gets killed...Unfortunately, You're right, It wasn't one of the best...However, Don't let that turn you away if you get a chance to see others...If you don't watch them, You will miss out (keep in mind-THEY WERE MADE FOR TELEVISION!)...
I remember Morton Downey being on a Tales From the Crypt episode and dying but not on Freddy's Nightmares. You sure you're not confusing them? The Freddy's Nightmares episode I saw involved a talk show and one of the panelists on the show was a rocker named "Monkey Puke" I believe. Dreams that Kill was the title of the show.
Avenger...You are correct...The episode I was referring to with Downey as a talk show host WAS from Tales From The Crypt ...oops... The episode you were referring to was Dreams That Kill from Freddy's Nightmares...I confused the talkshow host (named Charlie Michaels, played by Dick Gautier) with Downey...One of the guests, from 'Mothers Against Musical Atrocities', hit the host in the head with her purse and knocked him out...Freddy entered through the unconscious guy's head and took over the show as the host, himself...I hope that helps to restore my reputation...I guess I had just picked the wrong 'crouton' from the Horror Salad that is my brain...
Looks like I'm still doing it :D

I've got one that's been on my mind for awhile.
It's about a family in a house and there's a camera or robot in it watching them. And the thing is posessed and locks the house down or something among those lines. It's an older movie.
The Simpson's parodied it I'm sure.
If that doesn't help, I'll try to think of more details or try to find the episode from the Simpsons.
*EDIT* I found it.
It was called "Demon Seed." The camera bit might have thrown you off because they used HAL 9000 from 2001: A Space Odyssey as the camera in the Simpson's episode.

Alright, I just made an account here to ask this question, so hopefully I've come to the right place.
When my sister and I were 9/7 years old respectively we saw a film on TV that terrified us that neither of us have been able to track down in our adult years, but I would love to locate, if nothing else for nostalgic value. My memories of the film are so vague, but I'll try and explain what I remember best I can.
It's a horror movie very much in a similar vein to the Poltergeist movies, with a family being terrorized by ghosts in their home. I'm pretty sure this particular film revolved around shadows, at least most of my memories of it involve shadows. The scene I can remember most clearly involves the oldest daughter in the family lying in bed as the shadows of two large hands slowly come together, casting the entire room into shadow. I seem to remember the film ending with this same girl dying of some mysterious "cancer" related causes. I also seem to remember something about the father hallucinating in the garage, and something about a snake, but that's about as detailed as i can get.
If anyone could point me in the right direction given such little to go on I would be eternally grateful.

In this late 60's--early 70's film, the undead are gradually claiming their victims. The only scene I can recall halfway clearly has one character frantically running after a tractor which is spraying a field in the middle of the night in order to warn the tractor driver (great backlit shot of the spray.)
After finally catching up, we see that it is too late; the driver is slumped over, with a telltale dark brown egg-shaped mark on the neck. I think the tractor must have been on autopilot.
I saw this in high school, and have wondered off and on about it for years.
Any ideas?

Hey Folks,
I'm new to the forum...V has just directed me towards this thread - hope you can help. Just sending out a line about an old slasher film I’m trying to track down that my pop keep going on about. He’s a horror fan like me, and for ages he’s been telling me about this black & white slasher he saw in the ‘60s about some stoned hippies that go off in a camper van, come across an old abandoned house, and then get hunted down one by one by a killer with a skull mask and a drill/corkscrew weapon for a hand? My pa reckons it’s still the best slasher he’s ever seen, but he can’t remember it’s freakin' name! I really wana check it out. Does the story sound familiar? Any leads or ideas you guys have would be cool. I think it came out in ’67 - ’69…cheers

Ahhh... goddam! What is it! Trying to drain more info out of my pa....
So... The killer lives in this old abandoned house in the stix like I said with his deranged Mum, he kills the hippies who have broken down in a van nearby by shoving his drill hand/arm through their heads/stomachs etc. (sweeeet!) and then takes them down to the basement of the house where he keeps them alive and tortures them.... classic. Not that enlightening I know, but might jolt your severed heads?! It might be bullshit, but he reckons the director was called Radford, or maybe Bradford??? Horror director in the ‘60s/’70s… I can’t find anyone that matches on IMDb though?
Thanks... we'll crack it

I've got one...
Now, first off let me say that I wouldn't even be remotely surprised if this movie doesn't exist. A buddy of mine told me about it, but he's a hell of a storyteller. Plus, he does a shitload of drugs.
Basically, it sounds like the Asian version of Crank, with a horror twist. It's about this dude that gets cursed by some crazy which doctor type, and has to kill to stay alive. Whenever he kills someone, he absorbs part of their life. Thing is, he figures out that he can cheat the system: kill a shiton of people and live forever kind of deal.
The way he described it, its more of a gorefest/martial arts showcase than an actual movie. That's pretty much it for the plot, otherwise it's just the main guy kicking ass left right and centre.
He said that "some famous Asian dude" was in it too, as a detective trying to bring the main guy in. He thought it was Chow Yun Fat, but I can't find anything like this in his filmography.
Anybody recognize this? I wouldn't be remotely surprised if this is the result of some kind of vodka-weed-lsd induced trip, but it sounds pretty entertaining so I figured I'd run it past you guys anyway.
I would just ask him, but thats kind of how I found out about it: he forgot the title and wondered if I'd heard of it :o

Hey You Guys!!! (as Sloth might say) My dad is sure it was The Dark Beneath! Thanks Horror Freak! You are a legend - I appreciate you chasing me around the forums! So excited now – can’t wait to check it out. One of my pop's few good qualities is his great taste in horror! He's seen just about everything over the past 50 years. I've been trying to track this one down for years... so has he! Can't wait to see it! Have any of you guys seen it? I haven’t found anything about it on the web yet… any info you guys have on it would be cool, even better, do you know where I can buy it!
HorrorFreak78, can you ask your friend Mick about it?
Thanks again Guys :)

Way to turn off your audience. If you have to trick someone into getting excited for your film then it can't really have much going for it.
Your viral marketing just backfired. Maybe next time you'll run an honest ad campaign.
I'll be avoiding Midnight Movie.

Sorry, I originally posted this as a separate query in the forum. Now I see this is where it should be...
As a kid i remember seeing this very disturbing British horror flick, which looked like it could have been from the Hammer or Amicus production teams. It featured a bunch of teenagers in an old lighthouse or tower. I also remember a rather graphic sex scene.
Can anyone shed some light on this? I'd love to know.

It wasn't really that hard- simply type The Dark Beneath into google and the interviews with Midnight Movie's director come up.
We don't mind people announcing their new films in the proper forums when it's done with honesty. We're always on the lookout for new horror films. I know it must seem pretty hopeless to get your film noticed amidst all the dreck out there, but really- have confidence in your project, and that its quality will speak for itself.

Ok, so I have very little to no information on this movie I'm looking for. I only remember a couple specific scenes. It was a zombie movie, and I originally thought it to be one of the Return of the Living Dead flicks, but I haven't recognized anything in those that I watched.
I first saw this movie when I was real young, probably in the late 80s or very early 90s, on television. I recall one scene in which an old man pulls a severed head from a box, or a bag, and the head ends up biting his finger. Another scene I recall from the same movie is a few people in the back of a box truck, tossing fruit and random foods out the back, in an attempt to distract an ensuing zombie horde.
It's vague and of little assistance, but that's all I have of it. For literally YEARS now I've been searching for this movie, on IMDB, and anywhere else. It's driving me insane. I have found no movie that looks familiar.
If someone could help me out with this in any capacity, it'd be much appreciated.

One of the Re-animator flicks (the second one?) had a scene where the a guy pulls a head out of a bag and it bites him. Apart from that (like I said in the other thread) it sounds like ROTLD Part II to me especially the truck thing.

Thanks a lot man, I think that's it. But now I can't seem to find a streaming version of it anywhere, or any regular downloads. Torrents always consistently disconnect me, so I can't really use those. That's probably why I never found out which one it was, I could never find ROTLD II anywhere.

Okay guys.....I barely remember the movie but, it was about some Guy that had an ice cream truck (i think) and he would go around collecting little childrens arms. Once he collected them he'd go home and sew them onto his daughter (who had no limbs). There's one scene where he says something like "play the piano for daddy!".
Any help would be good guys, Thanks.

Here's one.
Not horror.
More like blaxploitation type stuff.
I'm pretty certain it's an 80's film.
I'm also pretty dure the black dude from "from dusk til dawn", the one with that big-ass moustache, was the main character, or at least one of them.
Pretty violent film.
Locally famous ex-gang member returns to his old "hood", to find the modern incarnation of the game is full of assholes shaking down the older gang members and local shopkeepers...etc...and proceeds to straighten things out with some of the old-skoolers.
One line I remember was "well well, look at that, somebody famous...can I have your autograph mister ?bookman?....PLEASE?"
I liked this one, I'm sure someone will have seen it, title please?

I´m trying to identify this old horror movie from the 80:s (i thing), that i saw as a kid. I can´t remember the name of it, and my memories themself are vague.... but perhaps someone could help me out.
I´ll describe a couple of scenes, and maybe someone will recognise.
The movie revolves around thing young teenage guy who suffers from
nightmarish intrusions into his reality, he is being hunted by several nightmare-creauters, such as a red, powerful demon, and a scary janitor with hooks for arms. The movie is kinda B:ish, and you never know what´s real in it or not... i think the teenage boy is being called "John Doe", and i also remember this scene where a coffin suddenly stands in his bedrom.
I also have a vague memory of the boy trapping the Demon into a shutter, but im not certain... and i library scene also, i think... please, if someone recognise any of this or even better, know what movie i´m talking about.
Post the answer right here.
Thanks alot!

The Demon isn´t a main character, just a recurring piece of the nightmare...

O. K., I need some help identifying this movie. I don't remember much about it because it was like 15-20 years ago. I saw it on USA networks "Saturday Nightmares" back in the day (anyone remember that show?) The movie was about a group of people in a big house on a tropical island that were being killed off by these Nazi zombies who broke out/came out of this old submarine just off the shore of the beach. I remember the zombies were bald, pasty white, and they wore long black uniforms and big round goggles. I also remember that one of these zombies got his big black goggles ripped off his head and kind of like melted or something in the sun. I guess that's how you killed them. The only other thing I remember is that a guy is running from one of these zombies and steps on a sea urchin and it stings his foot. If anyone could please help me put a name to this movie I would be very grateful as this movie has eluded me for quite some time. Thanks

I remember watching this horror movie as a kid and now it's years later and memories of the film keep coming back now and then and it's driving me crazy not knowing the name of the movie.
Here's what I remember. It's horror, lots of gore, maybe some comedy. At first I thought it was Bride of Re-Animator, it's not, but it might have been Lovecraftian. One of the characters was a pretty mute girl with whom the protagonist fell in love. I think a domineering mother might have been involved.
One thing I remember most specifically is the ending--the mute girl and the mother ended up in some sort of tube-like machine, which was activated, and I think it killed the mother but sort of blended the two women. It seemed like it would be a happy ending as the hero walked off with the mute girl, but then she spoke, and it was the voice of the mother, end with maniacal laugh.
Sound familiar to anyone?
Update: I remembered another scene. I think the hero, or one of the heroes, loses his arm at one point when a pneumatic lab door closes on it. The arm then reanimates, escapes the lab or something, and pursues the hero for awhile. Pretty sure it's a zombie movie.

All of a sudden I remember a movie that I saw when I was about 14 probably. Age is irrelvent. I saw it on tv, Space channel to be specific, as part of their Friday night horror movie thing. The movie seemed pretty old, I'm guessing late 60's to mid 70s. It was about a girl who lived with her step mom and step sister. The step sister was a bitch and the mother was a bully. The main girl had a black cat and was apparently a witch. One day when the mom left the step-sister tried to hurt the little girl or her cat (not sure) and the girl then made a plan. The next time the mom went out, the same routine repeated but she had made a pentagram on the floor and told her step sister "oh no, don't step inside the circle. It will ruin all my hard work." so obviously the sister does, and she is shrunk to a few inches tall. She gets chased around by the cat but suddenly the mother comes home and the little girl steps on her step-sister. You hear bones crunching and a pool of blood spreads under her foot.
That's all I remember. I am not sure about the year, and I dont know if that was the end of the movie.

OK, i saw this movie a while ago, so im a little fuzzy. It starts out with some people going to visit some other people in a little town. When they get into the town they stop and ask a priest about the family. he tells them about how the family had missed church one sunday and the priest had gone to check on them. When he got there, the family was gone or dead and there was a menacing laughter coming from everywhere. The visitors head to the house, which is on a hill or secluded, and when they get there the back of the house is demolished, but when they go into the front, the building is still standing. They get freaked out get in there cars to leave but there cars will not start. They decide to try and walk down the hill. On there way down they pass through a mist or fog and when they come out of it they are back at the house again. Everything gets pretty fuzzy after that, but i think there were zombies and a kid turned into a dove. Not to sure about that last part.

Dear Horror fans,
I watched a movie many years ago (when i was a kid) and liked it a lot.
There are certain movies that I want to watch again but cannot find
the title of this one. I searched all over the net
without any result, so you may help me finding it.
Here is a little summary of the movie (as far as I remember):
in a common village, not that big (it must have a coast) there are inhibants
living peacefully when suddenly a demon (can be satan) comes to ellect
a boy (son) to be his successor beacause this demon is getting very old
and is going to die. The demon has 2 shapes, 1 of a mid aged person and 1 of a very very old (seems to like dying) shape of a demon. the demon is asking at a certain point to the villagers to make a sacrifice and give him a son, at the first time the villagers rejects the request of the demon untill he says that each day many people will "sleepwalk" to death in the sea (water). this happens 1 or 2 times until the villagers gather together to make a dicision and gives the demon a son. at the end of the movie (many years later) the father of that son sees his son (and the devil) on a busy city street and calls for his son, but unlikely his son does not recognize him and scares him away showing his teeth (beeing sharp as a demon)
Please help me find this movie. i appriciate it.

Do you know any more good horrors like this one? Not this newones like house of vax, hills have eyes, prom night etc where there`s just slaying and they`re totally predictable.Something more like this one better, hardcore horrors so to call it...I wanna make a collection of really good horrors.
Go to the "General" forum and check out the first 3 threads......tons of suggestions there.

But he's only the tip of an iceberg. One person who bothered to seek out a horror forum. Average film viewer: just as clueless.

yeah but most of them dont like horror either.
you have to come to terms with the understandable fact that most young people look forward - not backward ... they have no reason too either unless they get some fortunate exposure.. through an older person or a forum.
they werent around when the old stuff came out - we were ... so we have an advantage.

Now here's a message to everyone who says remakes don't hurt the original movies. Here we have a horror n00b who has no idea all the films he just mentioned are REMAKES of FAR SUPERIOR ORIGINALS.
Ironic, ain't it? And maddeningly frustrating.
Thanks for the help which noone asked you for,and thanks for giving me the answer to a question about remakes i didn`t ask you.Yes I KNOW those movies i mentioned before are all remakes, every time you type the titles on imdb, axxo or mininova every version of the movie pops up,so you know that there are older versions of them, but maybe you are the king of guy who sits alone at home, shares love with the computer, angry at the world and angry at the years that passed him by.I guess that because of all that, when someone speaks-even if its about carrots and meatlofs, you join the conversation immeadetly and tell the wolrd all your lifestory. And thank you, maybe next time i`lll ask you to help me open a jar of pickles and you`ll tell me all about the production of toothpicks in Madagaskar.Sorry for all those people who are bodered or even bored with this arguing, but i just don`t like people who say something just for the sake of saying it.

Hi,
I remember a particularly surprising scene in a horror flick from the 70's and I'd like to find it again. Haven't a clue about the name.
All I can remember is.....
Some social worker or do-gooder girl was searching for two old ladies in an appt building that was about to be torn down. They were hiding in a closet and when she opened it they came out charging at her and stabbed her right through with a big sword!
It's kind of a memorable scene for sure.
If you know what movie that's from please let me know.
I'd be eternally grateful.
Thanks,
Screamer44 :D

personally i haven't seen the movie yet, my mom has, and it's intrigued me a lot.
she doesn't remember the name nor director or any actors in it.
this is what she knows:
it's about some people who take a bet in staying in an abandoned psychiatric hospital, and they get millions if they make it out alive. naturally, the place is wired with traps and only to people survive. at the end, those 2 are leaning against a door, a note gets shoved under it, saying they are on the roof and if they want to get out alive, they have to go through all the traps again.
it's not cube, i definitely know that, but i have no idea which other movie it could be.
can anyone help?

Someone please help me with this! O.k., There's this movie I saw a long time ago (strangely my friend saw it too but can't remember the name either) probably from the 70's/early 80's about two guys coming back from vietnam and taking a trip in the woods with their camper/RV. All I remember is that they stumble on a cult sacrifice and end up being chased the whole movie by these cultists. Eventually somehow one guy gets a gun and the other guy gets a knife and fight off the cultists until they escape to the next town. They decide that they have escaped and camp out in a field for the night. I remember the movie ending with the cultists slowly surrounding the camper giving the impression that the guys didn't make it. If anyone has an idea of what this movie might be please help a guy out!

Hi people.
I teach Horror as part of My film studies course.
I saw a horror film ages ago , I think it's spanish or italian.
A man sets up a camera in his child's nursery and when he watches the monitor, he sees a murder taking place in the past. When he realises what he's seeing he buys all the cameras he can get and somehow ends up in the past by walking through a door he can only see 'in the past' when looking through the camera.
DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT IT IS CALLED!!!

Hey all,
saw a film several months back on sky on one of the horror channel and I cannot remember the name of it. I've gone through everything i can think of and i still cannot find it.
Basically...some guy gets a massive castle left to him in a distant relatives will. Castle was based in scicily i believe? Anyway, weird things start happening in the castle and this guy and his family (1 wife and a kid) start arguing etc.
In the basement of the castle is some..cannabalistic creature.
thats about a smuch as i can remember..but I really want to see it again. anyone got a clue? it looked pretty low buddget..possibly maybe 70s or 80s ids say
Any clues?
Thx

Was Jeffrey Combs in it?
If you don't know the name, he looked like this around when the movie was made:

If this is the protagonist of the movie, the film you're looking for is Castle Freak.

I am trying to find the name of a movie . It is probably over 40 years old.
The movie involves a monster which was dropped off from a spaceship, and wound up in a cave. At the end of the movie , a local finds a ray gun from one of the aliens, wires it up to the electric line on a pole, then radios his buddy at the power plant to turn up the electricity, till the monster is finally killed.

NO question about it.
i don't think it is. i have seen house on haunted hill and i think it was too resent for my mom to have seen. the movie i want to know about might possibly be anywhere between 15-20 years old? she doesn't remember much.
i thought it was HOHH too, but the ending is different. and my mom would've remembered the occult bits and she didn'y mention any of it.
she's really specific on the being on the roof part and getting the money which doesn't help them as they have to go down again and possibly die.

...the ending is indentical to your description, actually.
When I first started getting into horror, the House on Haunted Hill remake was my #1 favourite movie - bar none, hands down. I used to watch it on a daily basis: If I had to count, I would say that I must have seen it at least 50 times - no exaggeration - the most recent being this past Halloween.
In the end, there is a crazy showdown in the attic. Our two surviving heroes - Ali Larter and Taye Diggs - are being run down by a huge ink-like shadow. Just as it looks hopeless, the ghost of Watson Pritchet appears and activates a pulley, opening a huge steel gate and letting our heroes out onto a small ledge. The gate slams shut behind them.
The sun is starting to rise, they both smile and laugh and are full of hope. An envelope is mysteriously pushed towards them from under the door. It contains the prize money that was to be awarded for spending the night in the house. They rejoice for a moment or two...but then the camera pans out, and we realise that they are actually stranded hundreds of feet abouve the ground, and the only way to escape is to somehow pry open the door, and go back through the house...
Trust me - if your description is acurate, this IS your movie. I'm currently at work, but when I get home I'll gladly post some screen caps for you.

i thought it was a different movie cause i looked it up on wikipedia and it said nothing about end, but that they were outside, so i assumed it wasn't the same movie. so i guess i was right all along, i suspected it was the same, but wasn't sure.
well, i feel much better knowing which movie it is. it's been bothering me for days, really :p
thank you so much. and screencaps would be great, cause i don't remember the end being like that :)

I doubt you are thinking of this movie but there is a scene in Thunderball where 007 (Connery) is fighting a guy in a pool and they shut some thing over the pool so he can't get out. Then they release sharks into the pool but Bond just swims out where the sharks are let in.

Derek, desperately in need of a new power supply for the disintegrator, climbs a telephone pole (!) in order to cut the wires. Betty gets ahold of the “city electrical generating plant” (oh brother). She convinces the man on duty to…I don't know…he pulls a switch or something which is shuts off the power so that Derek can connect the disintegrator to the power lines. (Hey, that was a telephone pole, not a power line pole…oh well…let's just get this over with).
The other guy is right , it is Teenagers from outer space.
