The FIRST ALL-CORRECT ENTRY I received was from...the LYCAN named FREAK!!

He wins a trip to the Reward Chamber before the Hunting Zone outing begins.


Freak, you have THREE envelopes in front of you - labelled Una, Dos, Tries.

You may select any TWO for yourself, and the contents inside them will be yours to keep FOREVER!

That's not all.

All three envelopes are parts of a secret permutation and combination. If you correctly guess the hidden combination of TWO envelopes in your choice PM to me, it will reveal a FOURTH hidden envelope!

The entire Hunting Zone is divided into THREE big sectors - 1, 2 & 3. You have to mention which section you will be in when you are doing your hunting.

NOT MORE THAN THREE CONTESTANTS CAN BE IN THE SAME SECTION AT THE SAME TIME! Be mindful.


Wraiths, PM me who your target (or targets) will be in the Hunting Zone. Also mention the sector where you will be when you are doing your hunting.

The failure to use even a single Rocket, or if more than THREE Hunters end up in the SAME section, will mean each Demonwraith will be shot SEVEN TIMES by the Snipers in the Watchtowers!!

The Lycan they all call Freak was led into the Reward Chamber earlier, before the Zone outing for this Challenge started.

THREE envelopes were placed in front of him, marked as Una, Dos & Tries.

Freak's selections were - Una & Dos.

You are now the owner of an INCUBATED UNHATCHED ALIEN EGG, which contains a...you guessed it...FACEHUGGER! You can place it in front of a chosen enemy whenever you want, and the facehugger inside will attack your chosen enemy and impregnate him/her with an Alien seed. After 24 hours from the impregnation, the baby Alien will rip out of his/her chest and cause damage worth 30 HPs!!!

You can use this unique weapon of yours ONCE only, and ONLY when you are a designated Hunter in the Zone. Never otherwise.

(You can indicate this in your PM to me, saying "I want to place the Alien Egg in front of...(your chosen target)")

Also, you now have a double-barreled shotgun with you. It will be loaded with 2 shells everytime you walk into the Zone as a designated Hunter. You can use it ONCE per challenge, and again only when you are a Hunter. Be mindful.

You can use your new weapons from the next Hunting Zone outing onwards.


And now for the Secret Combo of 2 envelopes which Freak was asked to guess, to unlock a special FOURTH hidden envelope!

The Hidden combo was - Una & Tries.

Sorry guys. My cable was out all night and returned a few minutes ago. I keep telling the Gateway people to fix it but apparently they can't find what the fault is. Sent a text msg to Rayne saying the same, but maybe she didn't get it.

Let's go directly to the Hunting Zone outing, whose deadline had expired about 13 hours and 37 minutes back.

The soldiers rush towards the gates to open it...




And the bolts are drawn back...




The loud creak of the gates opening breaks the silence and stillness in the air...




And then come the shots.


BLAM! BLAM! BLAM! BLAM! BLAM! BLAM! BLAM! BLAM!...




The night sky is ablaze with short bursts of fire from the watchtowers! The misty steel-blue haze rises into the sky and envelopes the moon and the stars.



The Snipers stop after firing exactly 63 shots altogether. Let's see what happened inside the Zone to have prompted this Sniper-firing...



The cameras are still not fully functional. BR engineers are working hard at it. But the scanners reveal everything. Let's look through them.

The Timeline in The Zone



Doc Faustus donated ALL his HPs to "whoever needed it most",





---------AND THEN THE SHOOTING STARTED-----------



Bwind22 was in Sector 1, where he fired his Rocket into FERRETCHUCKER!!!




Rayne was in Sector 3, where she fired her Rocket AND a Plasma Rifle Bolt into MISSMACABRE!!!


(immediately wiping out all MissM's winning HPs of Challenge #10)




Saytan was in Sector 3, where she fired her Rocket into MISSMACABRE!!!




Straker was in Sector 2, where he fired his Rocket into MISSMACABRE!!!



(MissM was ripped, mutilated and bleeding fast, losing 8 of her previously saved HPs in a real hurry, and now had only 2 HPs left)



The Chainer suddenly appeared in this sector, launching a scathing attack on STRAKER and nearly ripping him apart into pieces!

Straker lost 20 HPs, and a good deal of blood, flesh and vigor, but survived.





Chronogrl was in Sector 1, where she fired her Rocket into ZERO!!!




FreddyMyers walked into Sector 3, where he fired his Rocket into ZERO!!!



(It was here that Jenna26 suddenly decided to gift 10 of her HPs to "whoever needed it most")




Roshiq was in Sector 1, where he fired his Rocket into ZERO!!!



(Zero had nowhere to hide, but fortunately carried enough HPs to survive these rockets. 12 HPs down, but still 16 to spare!)




MissMacabre got real mad and with blazing eyes and fur all over, semi-transformed into a Lycan, tracked down RAYNE and shot her with the BONUS SHOT she carries!!




And Friday13thFan went in Sector 2.
He fired his rocket into MISSMACABRE, wiping out her remaining 2 HPs and leaving her at the mercy of Doc's magnanimously gifted HPs.
Then he turned and fired 3 shotgun shells into ZERO, seriously wounding the monkey.
And then hunted down FREAK and slashed him twice with his huge sword!!!




But this is the sector of the Chainer. F13Fan didn't know this.




The Chainer again reappeared and launched a very brutal attack on FRIDAY13THFAN, nearly tearing him into pieces!



Luckily, F13Fan carried enough HPs to survive this brutal onslaught. He lost 20 HPs in a hurry, but survived.




And,




that's all!




What about Despare?




...no idea. I received NO PM from him!




And because of that, all Demonwraiths have been SHOT SEVEN TIMES by the Snipers in the watchtowers when the deadline ticked over!!!




Too bad, Wraiths. You almost pulled off a perfect Hunt. You may enter your compound to rest now, and the very severely injured Friday13thFan and Straker have been taken into the Medic Center for personal treatments.



All the gifted/donated HPs from Jenna26 stand returned to her.



Doc Faustus is also given back the rest of his HPs, except those which were used up in healing MissMacabre to FIT status again.

He will be waiting for you, Demonwraiths.

The entire Hunting Zone is divided into THREE big sections - A, B & C. You have to mention which section you will be in when you are doing your hunting.

NOT MORE THAN THREE CONTESTANTS CAN BE IN THE SAME SECTION AT THE SAME TIME! Be mindful.


Wraiths, PM me who your target (or targets) will be in the Hunting Zone. Also mention the section where you will be when you are doing your hunting.

The failure to fire even a single .357 Magnum, or if more than THREE Hunters end up in the SAME section, will mean each Demonwraith will be shot EIGHT TIMES by the Snipers in the Watchtowers!!

Also, the failure to fire your Magnum will result in you being locked in with a very special entity!

You all have until Tuesday, NOON EST, to complete your hunting.

Haunting - Yes she does. In the end when she is driving away from the house, something takes over the wheel of her car and she has a fleeting glimpse of the doctor's wife behind a big tree, and her car rams full-speed into that tree. The others come running down to her and check her pulse, and its declared that she is dead.

Intruder - Bill is hacked to death inside the telephone booth by the girl's boyfriend in the end. Before he dies, however, he manages to convince the police officers that the girl and her bf committed all the murders. They promptly get arrested. Then it is shown that Bill opens his eyes and the girl starts screaming, and then the end credits roll. That's the shock twist common to all such movies of the 80s, like a prelude to Intruder II if they ever made one. It is safe to assume he dies in the end as is shown earlier.

In view of this glaring mistake of mine, all of you who sent in your entries and attempted the connection question, get 2 EXTRA HPs. As of now, your statuses stand bolstered by +2 in the HP department.

And sorry about this late response. My cable has been giving me hell for the past 3 weeks. This morning I took the entire computer apart and with the help of a tech guy, tested each and every cable, wire, splitter, router, modem, LAN card, motherboard, the outside lines, cable junctions, everything. After hours of poring over all this stuff, it turned out to be the modem which was faulty. Just got it replaced with a new one. Hopefully this will stay for a bit.

And suddenly, the stillness of the atmosphere is broken with the reverberating sound of continuous gunfire!!!



BLAM! BLAM! BLAM! BLAM! BLAM! BLAM! BLAM! BLAM!...



Plenty of groans, moans, cries and screams follow...

Doc Faustus donated ALL his HPs to MissMacabre,





---------AND THEN THE SHOOTING STARTED-----------



Rayne was in Sector C, where she fired her FIVE Magnum shots and an ELECTRIC BOLT from her Plasma Rifle into MISSMACABRE!!!




Chronogrl was in Sector A, where she fired her FIVE Magnum shots into ZERO!!!



(Zero decided to become magnanimous here, and donated all his HPs to "whoever needed it the most")




Magnanimous? Or preparing for an imminent death?




We shall see.




Saytan was in Sector C, where she fired her FIVE Magnum shots into MISSMACABRE!!!




(MissMacabre lost all her HPs by now, and was saved by Doc's very timely and very gracious "ALL HP DONATION" specially for her)




Straker was in Sector C, where he fired his FIVE Magnum shots into MISSMACABRE!!!




(Doc's HPs were doing a wonderful job patching up the bloody, bleeding and nearly dead MissMacabre by now)




Bwind22 was in Sector A, where he fired his FIVE Magnum shots into ZERO!!!




(Since MissM was being saved by Doc's All-HP donation, Zero's "donated to anyone" HPs were saving his own red furry butt!)




Roshiq calmly strode into Sector B, where he fired his FIVE Magnum shots into ZERO!!!




But the calmness was gone in an instant, when the CHAINER jumped out of the trees behind Roshiq and launched a huge chain-attack on him. Roshiq fought back bravely and kept the Chainer's chest chain at bay, while eluding his other tugs and pulls.

Roshiq survived, albeit losing a lot of blood, flesh, skin and confidence. Battered, torn, mutilated and 20 HPs later, he was still standing.



(It was here that Freak suddenly decided to gift ALL of his HPs to "whoever needed it most")




(Followed closely by Jenna, who decided to gift 10 of her HPs to "whoever needed it most" too)




Someone was gonna need them...and quick!




Friday13thFan was in Sector B, where he fired his FIVE Magnum shots, ONE shotgun blast and had a huge lunge of his sword, all into ZERO!!!



(Zero had used up all his 19 HPs by now, and was starting to bleed profusely. But he should be thanking Freak, whose timely donation of HPs reached him and made him survive this ordeal!)

But Friday13thFan had run out of luck. The CHAINER launched a HUGE attack on him and pinned him down with numerous chains. Friday13thFan tried his best to evade the Chainer as much as he could, but in the end the Chainer was too strong for him. The chains curled around his limbs and neck, and tugged. Hard. His left arm was ripped out of his shoulder, and his neck's flesh was nearly slitted out. He had HPs with him, but they weren't enough to prevent him from starting to SEVERELY BLEED. The Chainer left him a bloody, frothing mess. He was breathing, very heavily, when some of his teammates chanced upon his mangled body and carried him back to the gates.



MissMacabre walked straight to where RAYNE was done with her Hunt and shot her with the BONUS SHOT!!




FreddyMyers found himself in Sector A, where he fired his FIVE Magnum shots into ZERO!!!




(Freak's HPs were saving Zero's skin, much as like Doc's HPs were saving MissMacabre's)




And,




that's it from the Zone!




What about Despare, again?




...beats me. I received NO PM from him yet again!




And for that, he is marked for a very special and a very brutal punishment.




Shortly after the entire Hunt was over, and 30 minutes before the deadline ticked over, two guards strode towards Despare and bound his hands and feet tightly with a long stretch of chain. He was then led forward into a big metal container, whose doors were securely locked by an electronic computer code. The doors slowly unlocked by themselves and a huge roar came from within. The two guards shoved Despare inside the container and the doors immediately shut behind him. One of the guards kept one end of the chain's handle in his hands.

Then came Despare's loud inhuman yells from inside, followed by desperate knocking sounds all over.

5 minutes later, the doors opened. The guards together pulled out Despare quickly, and he came out a bloody, mangled mess. The doors immediately shut off. The guards led him back to the rest of the party who were anxiously waiting near the gates. At the sight of Despare's condition, the rest of the Demonwraiths groaned, some of them hitting their heads in intense frustration and exasperation.




And then, the watchtower windows opened. The snipers SHOT all the Demonwraiths EIGHT TIMES when the gates were starting to open when the deadline ticked over!!!




And the very first shot of the Snipers to one particular contestant, meant his imminent death.




Left totally devastated by the Chainer, and in a condition of SEVERE BLEEDING, the last thing he needed was the Sniper shots.




The other seven bullets thudded mercilessly into his newly-dead body, as his eyelids drooped and rolled over.




Slowly, the hands released the bonus weapons they carried. The shotgun fell on one side, while the sword fell on the other side.




DEMONWRAITH FRIDAY13THFAN IS DEAD!!!!!!!




Sorry, Wraiths. If not for Despare's no-show, it would have been a near-perfect Zone outing. I leave you to grieve over a great team member's loss.



All the gifted/donated HPs from Jenna26 stand returned to her.



Doc Faustus is also given back the rest of his HPs, except those which were used up in healing MissMacabre to FIT status again.




Freak is also given back the rest of his HPs, except those which were used up in healing Zero to FIT status again.

Still not sure its worth us trying to win these challenges anymore, as long as we have one guy who can't participate in our team we have no insentive to win the challenge. NOT MORE THAN THREE LYCANS CAN BE IN THE SAME AREA AT THE SAME TIME! Be mindful.


Lycans, PM me who your target (or targets) will be in the Hunting Zone. Also mention the Area where you will be when you are doing your hunting.

The failure to fire even a single Grenade, or if more than THREE Lycans end up in the SAME Area, will mean each Lycan will be shot NINE TIMES by the Snipers in the Watchtowers!!

Also, the failure to fire your Grenade Launcher will result in you being locked in with a very special entity! You must know who that is.

You all have until Sunday, NOON EST, to complete your hunting.


P.S. - Rayne is asked to turn in her Plasma Rifle before the Hunting Zone outing.

Also, Zero is permitted to rejoin his teammates after spending the Sitting Out time inside the BR dungeon.

The Deadline was up around an hour and 20 minutes back...we had no power here because its storming and raining outside. Sorry for the delay.

For a moment nothing can be seen near the open gates, except a big cloud of steel blue smoke...

The Timeline in The Zone



CHRONOGRL donated ALL of her HPs to RAYNE,


and


FREDDY MYERS donated 20 of his HPs to "whoever needed it the most".





---------AND THEN THE SHOOTING BEGAN-----------



MissMacabre was in the GAMMA area, where she fired her TWO Grenades, her special BONUS SHOT and a huge swipe from her Chainsaw at RAYNE!!!




Rayne lost 8 HPs in a real hurry. But she still had 3 left.




But MissMacabre was in for a HUGE surprise, which was to be her FINAL surprise of BATTLE ROYALE III! The CHAINER suddenly swung out from above the trees straight into her path and fired all his chains almost simultaneously into her! Chains with razor-sharp spikes wrapped themselves all around her legs, arms and neck. And then the Chainer tugged.

The last sound resounding in the Area after Rayne's screams of surprise, were MissMacabre's final inhuman cries of intense agony, as her body was ripped from limb to limb and left a bloody, messy set of jigsaw pieces on the reddened grass.


LYCAN MISSMACABRE IS DEAD!!!





Doc Faustus chose Area ALPHA, where he fired his TWO Grenade shots straight at RAYNE!!!



(Rayne used up her remaining 3 HPs here, and was left bleeding and Wounded, but Chrono came to her rescue and made her FIT again)




Jenna was in the BETA Area, where she fired her TWO Grenades at RAYNE!!!




(Luckily for Rayne, Chrono's HPs were saving her life wonderfully!)




Fiend Skull was in Area BETA, where he fired his TWO Grenade shots at RAYNE!!!




(Chrono's HPs saved Rayne yet again, but now Chrono had only 1 HP left with her!)




Ferretchucker chose to be in the ALPHA Area, where he fired ONE Grenade at CHRONOGRL and the SECOND Grenade at RAYNE!!!




(Since Chrono had already donated all of hers to Rayne, the last remaining HP was used up to heal Rayne. Both now were out of HPs, and Rayne was Wounded, while Chrono was Severely Wounded!)




It was here that FreddyMyers reached both women with his donated HPs, and used up 5 of his to heal both women to FIT status again.




Zero was hiding in the GAMMA Area, where he shot both his Grenades at RAYNE!!!




(Freddy's HPs saved Rayne's life again!)




But Zero had not seen MissMacabre's ordeal. He had no idea that he had landed right in the CHAINER's Area! The Chainer sneaked up right behind Zero, and before he knew it, Zero was locked by the Chainer's spiked chains! And then came the tugging. Never had another monkey screamed so loudly before. Zero's eyes bulged out, and his mouth remained wide open as his head was ripped out of his body!


LYCAN ZERO IS DEAD!!!




Michelle followed MissMacabre and Zero into this very same GAMMA Area, where she fired her TWO Grenade shots at DESPARE!!!



(Despare had only 6 HPs left with him before the Hunt began, and all of them were used up after this brutal attack on him. He was FIT, but had run out of HPs!)



The CHAINER was waiting for Michelle. He immediately launched a severe attack on Michelle, ripping her again and again with his chains and causing a lot of bleeding cuts and wounds which were worth 20 of Michelle's HPs.

Michelle survived the Chainer attack, but lost 20 HPs to heal herself.




(It was here that Roshiq decided to donate 5 of his HPs to "whoever needed it the most")




One person was gonna need them, for sure.




Freak strode into the BETA Area, where he fired his TWO Grenade shots and TWO Shotgun shots at BWIND22!!!




FREAK THEN TRACKED DOWN FREDDYMYERS INSIDE THE ZONE AND CAPTURED HIM! HE BOUND FREDDY'S HANDS AND LEGS TIGHT WITH SOME VINES TO A TREE, THEN PLACED THE UNHATCHED ALIEN EGG RIGHT IN FRONT OF FREDDY!!!




SHORTLY, THE EGG OPENED.




THE FACEHUGGER CURLED BACK INTO THE EGG, AS IF BRACING FOR A VERY LONG JUMP!




FREDDY WAS SCREAMING, HIS FACE FULL OF SWEAT AND PERSPIRATION!!!




THE FACEHUGGER LAUNCHED ITSELF DIRECTLY AT THE FACE OF THE SCREAMING FREDDY, AND ATTACHED ITSELF DIRECTLY ON HIM!!!




Luckily for Freddy, Rayne and Chronogrl hadn't drifted far. Responding to his loud shrieks, they came running and caught the facehugger by the tail before it wound itself tightly around him! They tugged and pulled and managed to pull it's claws off Freddy's face, but not before it left long, deep gashes on him. One of the facehugger's claws broke off, and fresh green acidic blood burned through Freddy's flesh and bone on the left side of his neck. Rayne immediately pulled out his HPs to heal him, while Chrono grabbed ahold of the twitching and fighting facehugger and threw it down the waterfall into the roaring abyss below.

Freddy's remaining 27 HPs were depleted immediately, and Roshiq's 3 donated HPs saved his life!

FreddyMyers needed 30 HPs to be healed fully, but survived this huge attack by the Facehugger.




And,




that's it from the Zone!




What about Dude Guadalupe, someone asked?




*shrugging*




You tell me.




I received NO PM from him!




And for that, he is marked for a very special and a very brutal punishment.




Shortly after the entire Hunt was over, and 30 minutes before the deadline ticked over, two guards strode towards Dude Guadalupe and bound his hands and feet tightly with a long stretch of chain. He was then led forward into the big metal container, whose doors were securely locked by an electronic computer code. The doors slowly unlocked by themselves and a huge roar came from within. The two guards shoved Dude inside the container and the doors immediately shut behind him. One of the guards kept holding one end of the chain's handle in his hands.

Then came Dude's loud cries from inside, followed by desperate knocking sounds all around the container, which was followed by another huge roar.

5 minutes later, the doors opened. The guards together pulled out Dude out quickly, and he was a bloody, mangled mess. The doors immediately shut off. The guards led him back to the rest of the party who were anxiously waiting near the gates. At the sight of Dude, the surviving Lycans almost collectively groaned in frustration.




And then, the windows of the watchtowers opened.




The snipers SHOT all the Lycans NINE TIMES when the gates were starting to open to let all the contestants in again!!!




Sorry, Lycans. Not only did you lose two fantastic team members, but you all were marked for punishment for Dude's no-show during this Hunt. I will leave all of you to grieve over your losses and recover from your sniper shots.



All the gifted/donated HPs from Bwind22 and Straker stand returned to them, as they came in late.



Roshiq is also given back 2 of his HPs, because 3 were used up in healing FreddyMyers to FIT status.




Freak, FreddyMyers, Chronogrl and Rayne are led into the Medic Center for further treatments.




The bodies of MissMacabre and Zero are taken into the Morgue.

You are now the proud owner of two of the most rare weapons of Battle Royale III - the digital Shuriken and the Flail.

The Shuriken comes with a unique target finder and will hit your chosen target, causing damage worth 5 HPs!! You can use the Shuriken ONLY when you are a designated Hunter in the Zone. Never otherwise. After you have used it 5 times, it will break and become useless.

The Flail will bash your enemies' brains in, and will cause damage worth 3 HPs!! You can use it ONCE per outing, and EVEN WHEN YOU ARE ONE OF THE HUNTED! That's right, even if you end up losing the Challenge, you carry the Flail with you into the Zone. You can use it 10 times, before both the chains carrying the steel balls will break off and it will become useless.

You can use your new weapons from the next Hunting Zone outing onwards.

The gunfire stops after a few minutes...




A group of people lie on the ground bleeding, moaning and screaming their lungs out in pain, amidst long wisps of steel-blue smoke which slowly lifts upward...

The Timeline in The Zone



NO DONATIONS of HPs were done before, during OR after this Hunting Zone Outing.

Which means there was...





---------PLENTY OF MERCILESS AND BRUTAL POWER SAWING!-----------



Saytan was in Sector 3, where she revved up her Power Saw and ripped into the chest of JENNA26!!!




Jenna used up 6 HPs quickly. No worries for her, she had PLENTY to spare.




So did Saytan. But she didn't know who was in her chosen Sector.

THE CHAINER!

It sneaked up right behind her and launched a huge attack, covering her in his spiked chains and tugging all around. Saytan nearly lost her limbs and neck, but somehow freed herself from the Chainer's grasp and flew for her life.

She lost 20 HPs, yet survived.





Bwind22 was in Sector 4, where he kicked FERRETCHUCKER into the ground and climbed over him, laughing maniacally as his Power Saw ripped right into Ferret's chest and tummy, throwing chunks of flesh and blood out of the screaming young Englishman!!!



Ferret used up 6 HPs to heal himself, while Bwind continued his evil laugh.





Rayne chose Sector 3, where she revved up her Power Saw and threw it directly at FERRET's running back!!! The saw ate into Ferret and ripped him almost into two, and his HPs came to his rescue again.

Rayne didn't stop there. She pulled out her Plasma Rifle and shot Ferret with a huge electric bolt, which left him really shaken and stirred. 2 HPs and plenty of spasming and shaking, but Ferret survived.




But this was the Sector of the Chainer. Rayne had a continuous alarming feeling she was being watched, and it was true. The Chainer swung away from tracking Saytan and headed straight for Rayne, immediately locking her limbs and neck in his merciless chains. The spikes tugged hard, and the last thing Ferret's eyes saw before he went unconscious from sheer fright and pain, was Rayne's body being ripped apart into pieces!!!


DEMONWRAITH RAYNE IS DEAD!!!!!




Roshiq chose Sector 4 for himself, where he hunted JENNA26 down and made her the victim of his merciless Power Saw!!!




6 more HPs used up by Jenna here. She had a stockpile of them, and they were being used up fast.




Straker was tracked inside Sector 2, where he jumped FERRETCHUCKER from behind and ripped through his sides with his Power Saw!!!




Poor Ferret. He used up 6 more of his stored HPs to become FIT again.





Chrono went into Sector 2, where she aimed carefully and THREW her fully-revving Power Saw straight at FERRETCHUCKER'S HEAD!! Ferret dodged, but the Power Saw fell straight on his right thigh and nearly cut it off from the rest of his body!!




6 HPs to the rescue again. Ferret was bleeding, and thanking his stars.






FreddyMyers went into Sector 1, where he found out JENNA26's hiding place and mowed her down with his savage Power Saw!!!



6 more out of Jenna's backpack. Plenty still to spare.




And...




that's it from the Zone!




Where was Despare?!




Absolutely no idea because...




I received NO PM from him yet again!




And for that, he is marked for a very special and a very brutal punishment.




Shortly after the entire Hunt was over, and 30 minutes before the deadline ticked over, two guards strode towards Despare and bound his hands and feet tightly with a long stretch of chain. He was then led forward into the big metal container, whose doors were securely locked by an electronic computer code. The doors slowly unlocked by themselves and a huge roar came from within. The two guards shoved Despare inside the container and the doors immediately shut behind him. One of the guards kept holding one end of the chain's handle in his hands.

Then came Despare's loud inhuman shrieks from the inside, followed by desperate knocking sounds all around the container, which was followed by plenty of huge roars one after the other. Shortly, the knocking sounds stopped.

5 minutes later, the doors opened. The first guard pulled out the chain. It came out surprisingly easily, with a severed leg attached to it. The second guard hurriedly punched out the numbers, and the doors slammed shut almost immediately. The last thing the first guard saw inside the container was Despare's decapitated head, fallen near the door in two pieces!!!


DEMONWRAITH DESPARE IS DEAD!!!




The Wraiths saw the guards taking Despare away with them, and they instantly realised what was coming to them.




The windows of the watchtowers opened.




The snipers SHOT all the Wraiths TEN TIMES when the gates were starting to open!!!




Sorry, Wraiths. Not only did you lose one of your best members to this outing, but you all were marked for punishment for Despare's absence during this Hunt. I will leave all of you to grieve over your losses and recover from your sniper shots.





Ferretchucker, Jenna26 and all the surviving Demonwraiths are led into the Medic Center for treatments of their various wounds, gashes and injuries.




The bodies of Rayne and Despare are carried into the Morgue.

The failure to use even a single Short Sword or Spear, or if more than ONE Wraith ends up in the SAME Area, will mean each Wraith will be shot ELEVEN TIMES by the Snipers in the Watchtowers!!

V - The inactive players are ruining your excellent game. Can't you just toss them all out and let the people who actually want to play do just that? If there's no new rule to get rid of inactives (or at the very least to not penalize their active teammates that have no control over their actions for their inactivity) I wouldn't even consider joining BR4. This is getting ridiculous.

It's true - They definitely DO stink... However, if you're really anal retentive and clean out their cages more than needed, it helps...

I LOVE ferrets. I think they're absolutely friggin adorable. Another challenge with them is that they are truly pack animals, so if you're considering getting one, you should get at least another one to keep them company (a friend of mine dated a girl who was OBSESSED with ferrets and who gave me all kinds of Fun Ferret Facts - She had a total of 4 ferrets - They were the CUTEST).

Sorry guys. Insane couple of days of work (24 hrs in 2 days) only got to send answers in cause i went on my bosses computer while he went to the bank. I was never intentionally being the deadwieght even though other people were. Just had computer issues throughout the entire BR. Wanted that to be known seeing how i dont think ill be making out of this Hunt. Ferret and Bwind are dead on reguarding the deadwieght issue for the next BR.

Well, I reluctantly have to agree.

BR is a team game till 10 players are left. And unless and until I receive some sort of confirmation from a player that he/she is dropping out, it would be slightly unfair to penalise them for one, or even two, no-shows.

I agree the whole team shouldn't suffer for a no-show, but another point has to be covered here. Sometimes players deliberately don't send in their entries - maybe with the in-politics of the game - and it has happened before in BR. Sometimes team members don't communicate with a player resulting in their no-showing. There are all sorts of factors to be considered. Someone confirms their participation then doesn't send in their entry, or sends in one for one Challenge and none for the next one...it's tough to judge if they are still in or not? Or if they are doing it deliberately?

In the last 2 BRs I was lucky to have handy replacement contestants who gladly took over someone's position when they dropped out (like Roderick Usher did both times, and someone was willing to take over). The problem this year is the lack of attendance at HDC. There was simply nobody I could call upon to participate. Rayne saw my problem and got many of her friends involved in the initial stages, some of them still alive now, but everytime someone didn't show up and didn't even post their confirmation of dropping out it was always hard to find someone else.

One of the reasons why I finished off BR II the way I did last year.

The main reason for this BR III resurrection was to improve SOME sort of traffic this year. But alas, it has failed to do so. Even confirmed participants were being continuous no-shows...which is saying something.

I don't think there will ever be a BR 4. Really. Think this edition will be the final one. For good.

My 2 Cents.....From an Admin/Mod point of view.

Timing is everything!! I have noticed over the past 10 years on various forums that the time of year is very important on deciding what types of things to do on a public forum.

Most forums hit a lul in activity during the spring and summer months then start to pick up again in the fall and are normally back in full swing by late fall. It's the weather!! ;)

To try to keep up the activity on the forum it (contest/games/hot topic whatever) pretty much needs to start when the forum is picking back up and then run one thing into the next, those interested in participating in the activities tend to get back to check on things every day or two. To start something up when the forum is already dying down for the lul, you don't normally get as great a response as you would have while the forum was hot hot hot!!

but anyway thats just my 2 cents!! ;)

It used to be like that till January 2009. Since then, everything around this place has come to a real slowdown, regardless of the weather or the seasons.

People have grown out of foruming, would be my conclusion.

It's a lack of conversation topics at the moment. People are stuck for it because on here most of us have conversed about most things by now.

Total lack of good horror movies plus way too many conversations in this forum about everything except horror are probably not helping.

If it's any consolation though, there are really only 2-3 things I participate in that keep me checking in to the forum everyday and this is one of them. So your goal wasn't a total failure, if not for BR3, I probably would have faded off for a while too as soon as I got knocked out of the Showdown.

As for the problem with inactives, I have a couple possible solutions to suggest just in case there ever is another Battle Royale.... 1 would be to let the winning teams hunt each other as well as the losing the team when they enter the hunting zone. If the winners have the option to shoot at whoever they want, they could opt to use their ammo against their enemies or on their own teammates that are dragging them down. 2 would be a three strike rule. Three missed challenges or hunting zones and you are ejected from the game. If someone wants to risk missing one or two for strategic purposes, that's a risk they would be choosing to take. 3 would be to have the snipers just shoot the no-shows and not the entire team.

Just suggestions to keep in mind if you ever do decide to run another one.

Don't get me wrong V. Your game is great and you are doing an excellent job hosting it. I'm annoyed as can be with all the inactive people that said they would play, but aren't and probably going to end up making it further than me simply because they pose no threat at all when thigns become individual.

The DEADLINE was UP about 1 hour and 40 minutes back...


The gates were swung open, and the teams trooped in slowly.


All the members silently trodded in, some with heavy steps...


...one was WOUNDED...


...and one...


...DIDN'T COME IN AT ALL!!!



The Medics rush into the Zone to find the ONE missing contestant, presumably dead...



...and the scanners confirm it. ONE contestant IS INDEED DEAD!!!

The Timeline inside The Zone



Bwind22 donated ALL his HPs to "whoever needed them the most", except for TWO team-members.





---------THEN THE HUNTING STARTED!-----------



Roshiq was in Area G, where he drove his sword and spear deep into BWIND22's chest!!!




Bwind had announced to donate ALL his HPs. Little did he know that he would be needing his OWN HPs the MOST.




Chronogrl was in Area B, where she surprised FERRETCHUCKER and ripped him with her Short Sword, then nearly impaled him with her Spear!!!



Ferret lost all the 7 HPs he had won in this Challenge, and was now left with 2 HPs ONLY!!





Dude Guadalupe chose Area A, where he tripped Bwind22 hard and swished his Short Sword right across Bwind's chest, slicing him brutally. Bwind screamed and somehow ran, but Dude threw his Spear which whistled through the air at lightning speed and rammed straight into Bwind's back.

Bwind used up 7 more of his own HPs to heal himself, and now had 14 left.




But someone watched all this action with large, glowing eyes. THE CHAINER swung out from the trees straight into Dude's path and locked him almost immediately in his spike-covered chains. Dude yelled but pulled out the Short Sword he had, and tried to hack at the Chainer. He used up all his 13 HPs and repeatedly flung himself out of the Chainer's grasp, fighting him hard. He swung again and again and managed to hack off one of Chainer's arms, and the creature roared in immense pain, it's cry shaking the ground near both of them. That made The Chainer furiously mad. His chest opened in a flash and the final coil of chain gripped Dude's neck tightly in an iron grip, and then came the tugging. Dude tried to lift his Sword again, but felt the strength flow out of his arm, alongwith pools of blood. His eyes bulged out, and his mouth stayed open in the final process of uttering a shriek, just as his head and limbs were ripped out of his torso!!

DEMONWRAITH DUDE GUADALUPE IS DEAD!!!




Straker was in Area E, where he chanced across FERRETCHUCKER and let him have it with his Short Sword and Spear!!!




Ferret used up his remaining 2 HPs, and was in imminent danger of dying. But Bwind22 came across him and quickly pulled out 5 of his HPs and saved Ferret's life.




Bwind had 9 HPs left with him now.




Jenna26 was found inside Area C, where she swooped upon BWIND22 and nearly ripped him apart with her brutal Sword & Spear attack!!!




7 more of Bwind's HPs disappeared. He had ONLY 2 left.





Saytan strode inside Area F confidently, where she made a beeline for FREAK and slashed him furiously with her Short Sword!!
Then she found where FERRETCHUCKER was hiding and drove her Spear right through his thigh!!
But...she chose to NOT use her Bonus Weapons. Thankfully for the Lycans.




The last 2 HPs of Bwind were used up in healing Ferret again. But Ferret didn't heal completely to FIT status. He was left WOUNDED.


And Bwind ran out of HPs.



Freak used up 3 HPs to heal himself. He had 15 left with him.






Finally, Michelle chose to move into Area D, where she heard Freak's plea to be killed off and decided to kill him in an act of mercy (she couldn't resist attacking Freak and had to comply because he had asked so NICELY!!). She attacked Freak with her Short Sword and Spear with eyes full of empathy for him.



7 HPs used up. 8 left for Freak.




That concludes the Zone outing. Thankfully the snipers were not needed for this one after a LONG time of brutal punishment for both teams.

I will leave the Demonwraiths to grieve over Dude Guadalupe's loss.





Ferretchucker, Bwind22 and Freak are led into the Medic Center for further treatments.




The body of Dude Guadalupe is carried into the Morgue, with both teams showing plenty of respect to the warrior and awesome team member who went down fighting to the Chainer.

Honestly, I don't see any point in any of the few active players on our team putting in the amount of time necessary to successfully complete this challenge when the other half of the team hasn't bothered to send anything in for weeks now. We're going to lose whether we complete the challenge or not so why waste our time on it? Maybe if it was a crossword or wordfind or something, but this... This would takes hours, maybe even days, for me to complete and for what? Just to lose again because we have deadbeat players on our team and then get killed during the next hunting zone? For me personally, I have better things to do with my free time than spend it on a challenge we're destined to lose. If any of our deadbeat players decide to show up, I nominate them to do the challenge and send out the answers to prove they are serious about wanting to play. Unless that happens, I fully intend to send in a blank PM and then kick back and enjoy my death scene.

Again, this has nothing to do with you (V) or any lack of desire to play the game. It has everything to do with inactive players screwing me, my teammates, and the game in general, over for months now. Completing the challenge would just be a waste of time. (No offense to you. Much offense to the losers who signed up and then decided to drop off the face of the earth once the game got rolling.)

First of all I want to say that Ferrets DO Stink.....even when they have had their musk sacs? removed. And they SHIT IN CORNERS! Amazing little creatures they are though! Smart as a tack and very easy to train if you're into that kinda thing........Females are hard to take care of unless you plan on having baby ferrets all over the house. Its said they die if they do not breed! At least thats what they told me when I was 3 and I rolled over on my Ferret in my sleep...hmmmm..... lalalalala Oh yeah!

They asked if I could come out to play with all of you and I thought " Hell, why not?" New things, different experiences right? I have actually fought to play this game, through 2 months or more of connection problems, being out of town dealing with family stupidity and generally being completely naive to how all this works. With TONS of help from both Rayne and Dude AND everyone else on here as well I have come this far. Thank you all for helping :) But I say, even when the odds are against you, you can turn it around and come out on top if you play your hand right...I dont know, I've started rambling which is exactly why I shy away from forums..... either way I'm gonna keep playing and sending in answers. V I think you're story telling is incredible. This is a great game and I'm in as long as I can play.

Welcome, Lycans & Demonwraiths, to the 15th BATTLE ROYALE III Results Meeting.


Most of you sent me the correct screengrabs and they weren't similar ones to each other's pics, so kudos on all the joint efforts, specially to the Wraiths.

Glad to see both Bwind and Ferret send in some pics too. And I have to specially mention FreddyMyers here because he came online about 9 minutes before the deadline, snapped off quick screenshots from any he could find from Youtube, and sent them to me within a minute of the deadline time. Hats off to your last minute dash, Freddy. Even when you knew your Status right now in BR III is Bleeding without any HPs left and you are just ONE bullet/hack away from imminent death, your commitment is exemplary.

And a great lesson to be learnt for a few others.

Wraiths, PM me who your target (or targets) will be in the Hunting Zone. Also mention the Sector where you will be when you are doing your hunting.

The failure to use even a single Scythe, or if more than ONE Wraith ends up in the SAME Sector, will mean each Wraith will be shot TWELVE TIMES by the Snipers in the Watchtowers!!

Also, the failure to use your Weapon will result in you being locked in with the Chainer!

You all have until Saturday, NOON EST, to complete your hunting.

Now I'm just starting to feel BAD for you guys.

V - Is there something that we can do to just eliminate the no-shows? I know the topic has been brought up again and again and again... But since it's the Demon Wraiths in the Hunting Zone, can we use this round to eliminate Doc and Fiend?

Team - Sorry, don't mean to speak for you all but I know at least Miche and Saytan were on the mercy front with going after Freak last round. Of course I chastised you THEN, but now I'm coming around... If I were Ferret or Bwind I would be pissed. Hell, I WAS pissed when Des was killing me and Rayne.

I'm willing to forfeit this hunting to remove those two players and then level set with the next challenge.

But that's just me.

Problem is if we target the lowest HP people we can probably kill 2 this round leaving 10 players which takes it down to solo play and eliminates the no show team member situation anyway, doesn't it? If we go after the guys that aren't playing we will maybe kill one player, at best, this round and then we just drag out the situation further anyway.

Another problem, for me, is that from a moral perspective I don't really want to take out any of the folks who have been regular players, but in the same way the whole game is flawed if we're keeping the opponents best players in the game.

It's a crazy situation now because most likley I am gonna end up targeting the no shows from my opponents team and even then we will still end up with another team round that, most likley our team will win cause we have less no shows. I could and should be targeting ferret or bwind22, who are clearly still more commited and better at the game/ have more time and desire to play, but instead I'm gonna end up targeting my opponents worst player just to restore some element of fair play.

My personal opinion is that there should be some way of targeting your own team members. That way the folks who don't have time for the game would've been removed earlier.

None of that should be seen as a criticism of the game or any individuals though. I think some people could've pulled themselves out the game earlier, but really, we all have busy lives and things get in the way, its just the way it is. Also, I think 'V' has done a fine job keeping the game ticking over and I'm sure its taken a ridiculous amount of time and effort to make it happen, so no complaints, just a little frustration. :)

Exactly. I'm offering up our Hunting Round turn in its entirety to get rid of Doc and Fiend. I know that our ACTUAL bullets won't get rid of them - I'm hoping for a step-in from IT to decide whether or not it's a fair trade... Oh, and my team mates too... :cool:
