So I'm pretty psyched - I have two job opportunities to choose from! :D

I wound up politely saying "No thanks" to the new company. I think that it makes more sense to stay where I am and put in my time here. :)

Now I just hope that they don't screw with me. LOL.

Holy Shit. Strongest beer ive ever had in my life. Very good taste but is actually quite hard to drink. I have it on tap at my bar and we can only serve it in a wine glass because its an %18 percent beer. The looks on my customers faces when they first try it is priceless. Not for the faint of heart.

I generally drink things like orange juice and chocolate milk and carbonated water. However I do drink alcohol free wine now and again. My hubby who enjoy both good wine and whiskey is a bit saddened that I do not drink as then he never feel he can buy a wine bottle as then when he have had a glass or two the rest just stands there getting bad. Now my hubby prefer Ardberg (I am not sure how to spell it.) single malt whiskey with nothing in it save perhaps a ice cube on warm summer nights.

Not a chance the nanny state rules here in the UK. They are even talking about increasing the tax on alcohol thereby making it more expensive in the hope it will put people off drinking. In other words they don't want the poor to drink alcohol they only want it for the rich.

Just be careful and have someone around who you trust, bro. When you party with hard core alcohol its easy to get carried away...Make sure you eat first and TAKE NO PRESCRIPTION OR ILLEGAL DRUGS! I can't stress that point enough...I've known 2 people who o.d.'d on oxys and alcohol, they are no longer with us...I also know a guy who put himself in a coma from taking 20 shots of 80 proof vodka in 15 minutes. Haha, well tripels are usually pretty intense, with lots of hops and malt (3 times as much as a standard Belgian, hence the name). I know for me, at least, it took some time to work up to the tripel. The chocolate and coffee beers are definitely intense and rich, too, but in a very different way. They're heavy, but tend to have a balance between sweet and bitter that you might enjoy more than you did the tripel. Let us know what you end up trying!

I live in Colorado, surrounded by fantastic micro breweries. Out of all of them, these are my favorites. If you see them at your local liquor store, do yourself a favor and check them out:
Left Hand Brewery: Milk Stout
Odell Brewing: 90 Shilling
Twister Pine: Hoppy Boy
New Belgium: Fat Tire (probably the easiest of the four to find.)

Oh man! You are very lucky. It's actually probably a good thing that I don't live so close to Founders, cause I'd surely spend way too much time and money there. I love their brews, though. The porter and Centennial IPA are both great. I also love their imperial stout; I believe it's a winter seasonal.

Michigan actually has some of the best craft brewers in the country.

I just picked up a bottle of Jolly Pumpkin's Noel de Calabaza. One of my absolute favorite Christmastime seasonals. It's a nicely spiced Beligan-style ale. This one's pretty expensive, so I only get one every December. I'm saving this bottle for an upcoming Christmas get-together.

Can we kick this guy outta here mods.....or anyone.

But since we're talking beer....
KBS, Jay, is actually Kentucky Breakfast Stout and is literally one of the most sought after beers in America and might be one of the best beers ive ever had. Ill Honestly be pre-Ordering a case for my bar within the next month or so. They also have CBS(Canadian) and regular Breakfast stout.

Beers ive tapped or will be tapping at my bar: Founders breakfast stout, Stone Double Bastard, Left hand 2011 fade to black, Chili pepper porter that is friggin delicious, Great Divide Oak Aged Old Yeti Stout.

Just had Otter Creek's Twenty Year Anny Copper ale:
12% copper pale ale....yum

i've got a bottle of Tres Generaciones a friend left here. i'm guessin you don't see it very often in bars because it's three hundy plus per 750ml bottle yo. it's the kinda booze that's got individual hand printed stickers on the back, labeling the cask it's from, which bottle it is, and when it was inspected and packaged. same dude also left a bottle of Blanton's single malt bourbon here. same price range. i'm sort of an alcoholic, but even when i run out of Jack i can't bring myself to drink those liquors cause i feel like i'm robbing my buddy heh heh.

at home i drink steel reserve, and jack when i have it. at the bar i drink jack, bud and sometimes patron. i'm a cheap drinker cause i'm broke all the time. i also get ripped pretty quickly, but i don't really stop drinking unless someone makes me. also, i don't get ill from it. alchy genes, i guess.

When I'm in the mood for beer there's nothing better than a cold Bass. Bass is always my #1 choice. Killians Irish Red and Yuengling Black & Tan would be next on the list, but those I'll usually have with a good meal. Killians and hot wings = a match made in heaven. I really enjoy red wine but thanks to an awesome* medical condition I can't partake because the sulfates totally fuck up my system.

In any event, I'll take a fat doob over beer any day

Hm, yeah I tend to avoid stuff like that, too. But I'll keep that in mind.

I spent the week in Arizona visiting my brother. We went to this little town called Bisbee that had a local brewery, and I tried a few of their brews. They had a really nice IPA and a good Belgian wheat. Very enjoyable beers.

Yeah, exactly. It's a really smooth porter. Glad you dug it! Once September rolls around, you must try and get a hold of their Breakfast Stout. It will knock you back. Definitely one of the richest, most flavorful beers I've ever had.
Like I said, I have yet to be disappointed by any of their brews. The Founders brewery is about a 3 hour or so drive from me, too. Hmmmm

Beer dinner tonight at my tavern. We do it every 6 weeks. This one is featuring the brewery Brasserie DuPont. A true Belgian brewery and makers of Saison DuPont. One of the best beers in the world, with the credentials to prove it. We literally had to have one of the beers shipped to us from the brewery in Belgian itself. Not even sure of the name of it yet. Wish i wasnt working it and i could sit, eat, and drink. Fat and Happy.......

This is happening a lot with many drinks in the UK-it's strangely now ok for pubs to water down their ale. I've unfortunately had to go teetotal but I don't miss the disappointment of getting poor quality booze in local pubs. Even the guiness tastes shit now.

I'm excited for this as well. I'm keeping my eye out because so many stores already have fall/Halloween stuff out. About 2-3 weeks ago, I went to one of my local grocery stores and they had a huge display of Halloween candy.
