Guys I have been recommended to this book, and into quarantine I am listening audio version of it. I will highly recommend to all of you, to at least listen up the first chapter.
Book is MADHOUSE by Miguel Estrada. (https://amzn.to/2X8u41P)
Synopsis
Faced with his parents' divorce, 11-year-old Lucas runs away from home in the hope that his family will get back together to find him. While walking through the empty streets, he is picked up by a mysterious woman who offers to take care of him and provide him with a loving family.
The boy then wakes up in shackles, confined to a bed in a decrepit house in the middle of nowhere and will have to face his deepest fears in order to survive in his new home.

This one is a Tie-In to the 1985 film and pretty funny in spots.

Stephen King's The Stand. Still at the point of trying to wrap my head around the many characters being introduced. Quite a relevant choice, given the current global situation, though I did not go in with any prior knowledge of its plot.

How is it? Any good?
I enjoyed it. The story is entertaining and contains some creepy moments. It happens to be written quite well... The author's vision strongly influenced artists from another industry and so there were four film adaptations made. It's not an outstanding masterpiece, but still very good and based on a tremendous idea. I surely must look further into some S-F works because it's been working out for me. ::cool::

I've been re-reading "The Manitou"series by Graham Masterton. The first is pretty good, Revenge is great and the others are, to be honest, pretty poor but they aren't long and following Harry Erskine's journey is fun.
One thing confusing though is that Harry very rarely talks about his past battles with Misquamacus. If that were me, every time anything strange happened I'd be thinking Here we go again.

ORDEAL-William W Johnstone. Most of WWJ's books are written in an Ultra-Conservative bent with blame being thrown to Bleeding Heart Liberals for just about every Societal ill. In this one, a group of older War Vets take a hiking trip in a remote Wilderness where a recent Jailbreak has occurred with the Cons terrorizing Camping grounds full of civilians.
It's a decent idea and not a bad read, but Johnstone seems to relish the Criminal perversions and the token Liberal with the Vets is SO DAMN annoying, You almost wish the cons could get ahold of him.

I find Sharks fascinating (although it would be terrifying to be grabbed by one) and this is a good study on them, although takes an ecological bent with the story and many sections here infuriated Me, such as Shark Tournaments, Global Warming, Fishing Boat Slavery, Long Line Fishing and especially Finning. AMERICAN ADULTERER-Jeb Mercurio. Although based on Historical events, I'm sure a lot of AA is based on Author speculation. It deal with President Kennedy after He becomes President and his dealing with what might be termed "Sexual Addiction". It's amazing He was able to do his job what with his obsession-Doubly amazing is despite the PR slant of "Vigor", JFK was wracked with a whole slew of Medical problems and even if He had completed His term (or another one), it's doubtful He would have lived much longer. THEY JUST SEEM A LITTLE WEIRD-Doug Brod. Very entertainng tome of four mid-late 70's rock bands (KISS, Aerosmith, Cheap Trick and Starz) with their histories and how there was a connection for all of them, such as management, producers, touring, personal relations, etc.
Like all four of these bands (a true KISS fanatic in the 70's) and have been able to see three of them twice KISS (Unplugged in '95, very good and in '96 for the Reunion Loud and Bombastic, but musically dull), Aerosmith in '83 (Not bad, missing Perry/Whitford) and '84 (Absolutely horrendous, along with Van Halen in '82, THE worst) and Cheap Trick ('18 and '20, great both times)
Starz, sadly, didn't make the big time-a shame as they had the chops and the songs. Heartily recommend the debut ('76) and the following years VIOLATION, both stellar albums, last two aren't great, but not bad either.

I just begin reading two books. One at lunch and one in the evening. They are “The King in Yellow “ by Robert Chambers ( 1895 ) . The play in this book among others things was a influence for the necronomicon in HP Locecrafts works. The other book is not necessarily horror but contains a lot of horror themes throughout it from ghosts, crabs and a demon fox not to mention the typical Japanese clan bloodshed’s in war. It’s “ The Tale of the Heike” which was created by many authors. The compilations of the current text seems to have occurred between between 1190 and 1221ad. The translation I’m reading is from 2012 and it’s the one by Royall Tyler through Viking spread.

HAVE A NICE DAY-Mick Foley. Pro Wrestler
CHANEY'S BABY-Bil Fleck. Good one about what may have compelled Lon Chaney Jr to attempt suicide
BLOODLANDS: EUROPE BETWEEN HITLER AND STALIN-Timothy Snyder. Very good, but incredibly depressing/horrifying account of a European area sandwiched between two of the worst Human monsters ever.

ELIZABETH-J. Randy Taraborelli. Good biography on Elizabeth Taylor. Although He points out a lot of her bad behavior, He is not judgemental as other authors have been (especially Kitty Kelly). She did have an interesting life.

Survive The Night: Riley Sager is the book I'm reading right now. I love the fact that it takes place during the 90's. I've been reading a lot of horror books lately and plan to read more in the future.

The question of what book you are reading is always interesting, especially when it comes to self-improvement. I recently started reading a book about healthy living and proper nutrition, and it mentions a tdee calculator (https://tdeecalculator.app/). This book explains how to calculate your total daily energy expenditure and use this data to achieve your fitness goals. Knowing my TDEE has helped me better understand how many calories I need to consume to maintain my weight or lose fat. The book also emphasizes the importance of a balance between physical activity and diet. By applying the tips from the book and using the TDEE calculator, I have become more conscious about my nutrition and training, which inspires me to achieve new goals.

THE FUNHOUSE-Owen West (actually a pen name for Dean Koontz). Based on the 1981 film script. this is a pretty fast little read and I actually like it better than the film.
UP AND DOWN WITH THE ROLLING STONES -Tony Sanchez. Keith Richard's assistant (and constant Drug procurer) met The Stones as their status was beginning up to the mid 70's. Lots of dirt, as You can imagine, on Brian Jones, Mick Jagger and especially Keith.
