I'm pretty sure if you went as far as he did people would be pretty worried about your mental state. It's not the shouting that annoys people, it's how long he shouted and how far he went, becoming pretty much the typical prima donna celebrity. He could have just done another take. They had time.

if someone did it to me in this way - in front of other people... i'd be facing charges and the other guy would be facing a few painful months in the dentists chair.

Not to this extreme or for this length of time (because you're not a Hollywood diva) but you've never went off on anybody? I used to go off a LOT when I was younger (for a few different reasons), I can remember lots of yelling at people in high school that's for sure.

But you are trying to say that the answer to problem of someone yelling at you is to punch them? That isn't really the best way to handle it either, and in fact would make you worse than the person yelling.
