The last time Bane was here (recently), I banned all of his 'extra' screen names (as I told him I would) as soon as he registered them, and allowed him to carry on with his original one...He kept all of his silliness (and we contributed to it on a grand scale) to TWO threads...He made NO racist, pornographic, homophobic, or in any way 'inciteful' posts...He was NOT banned at that time...He apparently just got bored/frustrated with the fact that we accepted him, no one was getting upset, we were having fun with him, he was NOT getting banned, and no one really gave a shit...So, he just left on his own without even a 'goodbye'...

Apparently, he was NOT getting what he came here for...

Sometimes his posts are sensible and i enjoyed reading them then other times
he just gets too high on his own odor and his posts go randomly stupid.
I suppose that could be said for alot of us .
What i can't understand is...why is everybody so infatuated with the guy?
So many threads have been started up over him..including this one..why??
As for members leaving because of the shit they read from him...nah!!
Those leaving members can blame who ever the hell they like..if its not him ..it will be somebody else who gets the finger pointed at.

Honestly, I think the person in question is a really annoying person.
There is such a thing as too much, and I haven't been coming around as often because the stupid comments get really old.
Of course, if you responded to everything that pisses you off online, you would stay annoyed.;)

OR...Do you prefer a 'calmer' more 'intellectual' atmosphere, with serious discussion and a little goofing off and ribbing between the regulars, and even new members as long as there is at least a modicum of intelligence or wit behind it?


Could it be a mixture of all of these?

I honestly like having somebody around that I can take off ignore an lay into for being such a fool sometimes. It's kind of a funny thing because he enjoys illiciting a reaction from us and sometimes I enjoy all the jokes at his expense.

They have a sad life to begin with, and they piss people off to feel powerful. At the end of the day when they tuck themselves in, that's their big achievement...so, ya gotta realize these are pretty miserable people in the first place. I've known quite a few people like this in "real life"...known who they are and how they got that way, more or less...and for the most part, people don't turn out this way by accident at all. 99% of them have had extremely abrasive, abusive childhood experiences.

I don't like trolls, and I learned long ago that the best way to get rid of them is to never ever acknowledge them in any way. It's difficult to get an entire community to do that. Some are the type that enjoy stirring things up. They are almost as annoying as trolls to me.

I just stay out of threads that I have no interest in.
