Do you guys have fun playing with our resident idiot? I personally found Bane to be more funny (in a stupid kinda way) than irritating. Of course, I can remember Bane in his 'normal' mode, where he was actually a pretty okay dude, he's a hardcore metalhead would ya believe it? But, this loadernob guy is just too overthetop retarded.


Do you read all of his threads and posts just to see 'what he's doing now' ?...how everyone else is responding to him?...or whether or not the mods are going to do anything about him?


Does he give you guys something to do/read when the forum gets slow?


Do these types of 'episodes' help to keep the forum 'alive and bustling' at times when there doesn't seem to be much else to do here?


After he is banned and gone for a little bit...Do you find yourself wishing you could have caught his last posts, or his responses to YOUR posts?...Does it seem more 'boring' here when everything is calm?


OR...Do you prefer a 'calmer' more 'intellectual' atmosphere, with serious discussion and a little goofing off and ribbing between the regulars, and even new members as long as there is at least a modicum of intelligence or wit behind it?


Could it be a mixture of all of these?


Please let me know...If you're afraid that someone may react negatively to your true feelings on this subject and you would rather avoid the 'drama' that could go along with it...Just send me a PM...Okay?

I couldn't really care less what he posts. I never really read anything and rarely ever post in any of his threads. But I haven't really been around here a lot either.

Well, there are a LOT of people who haven't been around here much lately...I believe it's because of this bullshit...But, I don't understand why people keep responding/referring to it (when they KNOW that's why he keeps doing it)...So, with this thread, I'm just trying to alleviate some of the confusion...

Bane style trolls are amusing...dont mind him at all, good for a laugh

Bigloader/Renob/ect. types should be banned on sight. They pollute every thread with idiocy, vulgarity and (most recently) feigned ignorance. They are here for nothing more than to try and get a rise out of us, and I cant see why they can get away with it for so long before getting banned.

Some quotes that I find particularly pertinent...I should hope that there's no need to cite the source:

It's all well and good to type that out, but actually enforcing it is another matter entirely. As Ive said in another thread, these guys are easy to spot and their intentions are obvious...how hard can it possibly be to enforce that last rule: Warn 'em and ban 'em. Problem solved. Instead they end up getting hundreds of posts out before any noticable action is taken.

The "It Stops Now" policy is, in my opinion, the ideal way to run this place. The moderators simply need to abide by it and enfore it more stirictly.

I didn't really mind it, because it was just one guy posting.

That guy would ordinarily have stopped, but people reacted to him, and that encouraged him to keep going; it gave him energy to keep posting.

Some of the stuff he posted when he was trying to rile things up were pretty funny! I'm serious, I would find myself laughing at some of these comments. Often. Especially the one about...no, I'm not going to lower myself..."Did you ever watch a horror movie that scared you so bad that you..." that one.

I agree with what you've said...However...If you ban someone too soon, there is usually an uproar of people saying things like, "But, what did he do?"...Or the banned person comes back with, "I wasn't doing anything wrong THAT time"...Or we have people who say, "He wasn't THAT bad, what's the big deal?"...It almost seems as though we have to let it get irritating ENOUGH so that everyone is in agreement and can clearly see the necessity...

This place is a democracy...The wishes of the MAJORITY is what matters...NOT what a couple of mods think...That's why I ask you guys questions like this


Also, bear in mind...When someone IS banned, they just come right back...You guys think, "Well, it's a hassle for them, so they'll just stop if they get banned a few times"...Here's what you guys fail to understand:

1) These people obviously have nothing better to do and no life

2) If hanging out at a forum pissing people off all day is not a 'hassle', neither is creating a new SN and doing it again and again

3) Their intention is most likely to get ENOUGH of a rise out of people to get banned, so when they DO get banned, they get a kick out of it...Hard to imagine that someone's INTENTION is to get banned?...I've had people BEG me to ban them...SFF bragged about the fact that she had been banned from LOTS of forums, and Bane has said that he has been banned from EVERY forum that he has been to

4) When they ARE banned...They come back...Often with a vengeance...Compounding the problem in triplicate

5) Banning is not a deterrent here...Nothing is...We CAN ban them over and over again...But, often get shit for it...Which is why I ask if it's possible that some of you guys actually don't mind it so much


As for Bane...At least he kept HIS shit in only one or two of his own threads...

I have been gone far a somewhat long time so I have no Idea whats going on anymore.

I see all of you talking about "bigloader", and I'm am in the dark about that. But I'm guessing Renob is basically the same. A few of the posts from him I've seen were rather annoying or dumb and I think I may have posted one or two comments just for the heck of it, but I'm not really singling out anyone on this board. Yes, it is a close community, but it's still public.

I'd personally prefer not to get in the middle of it all though. Haha, but it seems as if I'm inching there anyway.

By "Bane" I assume you mean Darth Bane and his "compatriots." When it was various Darth Banes and Deicides and Kazilu-Beys, that shit was annoying, not amusing in the least. If the entirety of Bane's idiocy could be contained into one thread, I could see him not getting banned outright. But in general, I'm not amused by him enough to warrant him not getting banned on general principle
