I don't care enough about gay people to participate in this thread. I don't really care about what anybody does in the bedroom and I don't think anybody else should either. I don't find the idea interesting, I find it kind of gross actually. That's ok, I think ketchup is gross too.

the thing that annoyes me is that every one would think that you are strange if you are a lesbian, bisexual and things like that. but you are different and if you like that they who gives a fuck what anyone else says. if your happy then that s fine. and i think that gay and bisexuals are great as friends anyway so i dont see what is wrong with gays and bi sexuals.

oops how did that happen?

one of my favorite episodes of south park is the death camp of tolerance episode.

Mr. Garrison: "Look, just because you have to tolerate something doesn't mean you have to approve of it! ..."Tolerate" means you're just putting up with it! You tolerate a crying child sitting next to you on the airplane or, or you tolerate a bad cold. It can still piss you off!""

Nowwwwwww, briefly, this conversation was steered over to ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise. Before we totally get off that subject: Has anyone tried hot dogs, like, say, all beef hot dogs, without any of these three condiments, or relish for that matter? This is important. I think hot dogs are much better plain, you know, just on a bun, but no toppings, just the dog and the bun, the dog and the bun. You should try this. Has anybody tried this? I bet if you did you would like it. Comments please.

Typically, if I happen to be ingesting hot dogs for whatever reason, I'll usually have 2: one drowning in mustard, one perfectly plain. I very much enjoy both of them.

On that note...I really think this is the wrong thread to start discussing how we enjoy our hotdogs. The possibilities are...disturbing.

Their actually called NY System Hot Weiners or GutBusters. They taste much better then they look and back in the day we would down at least three of these with a french fry after a night of drinking.

Are we seriously the only open ones? Huh. The last forum I was on was INCREDIBLY queer (it was a Buffy forum; go figure). Guess I was used to that. I didn't realize how non-queer this site was.

Then again - Isn't the stereotypical horror demo the 16- to 25-year-old straight male? Posh and I shouldn't be so surprised at being the sweet cream filling of this sausage party.

Hey, I'll join your little group as long as I can close my eyes during.

My high school was pretty queer, I was the only guy in my photo digital class during my senior year, one of the girls ran in "hot girl in the cafeteria!"

... I was the only person left in the room, save the teacher.

well, since the recent coming out party - there has been a common subject running through most of the threads ... so why not beat that dead horse right here.

seems like people have a ton of thoughts that are popping out here and there ... we might as well get them all in one place ... lets see what the general consensus is.

Personally - when i was born - my mother had a gay best friend (this is the 50's) and he was my godfather.
All i knew from seeing him was that he was a nice guy. Met one of his partners once and he ga=ve me stamps from his home country (jugoslavia) which i thought was pretty cool.

So it wasnt a matter of tolerance - there was simply no question of it being something we had to 'tolerate' - it just was.

pretty much lived my life that way and we're raising my son that way as well.
My wife is of the same mind as myself.

I've met a lot of gay men through my life - most were as i mentioned in a previous post - very articulate, cultured, intelligent men. None were the flaming effeminate queens portrayed in films ... they were just guys with a great sense of style, well groomed, polite, etc.

I know it's crazy to assume all gay men are like this - it's practically another stereotype - but this has been my personal experience.

I have known of the flaming queen types and i dont care for them... anymore than i care for any show of phoniness or overt cliched sexuality. (that goes for ginos, bimbos, or anything else in that vein)
People using gayness as a way to make themselves more interesting isnt cool with most other gays anymore than it is with anyone with a brain.
(no this isnt a shot at you Posher - i know you're just enjoying the release - i expect it will become a non issue for even you before long)

I dont like homophobes. they are in the same class as sexist assholes and racists.... people with hateful opinions based on 100% pure unadulterated ignorance. people content to live in unenlightened dark ages - who are terrified by anything they dont understand.

most homophobic males are usually overcompensating for their own shakey sexuality. for some its a religious thing. either way - i think it's childish and dangerous. who you love is who you love. it shouldnt be gender specific if you intellectualize it. our genetic predisposition to breeding - the continuation of our species is the first primal decree most of us follow ... but other factors - nature or nurture - or both - can take over after that.

anyway - more rambling ...

anyone else want a say ?

Urgeok2 Respect!

I accept everybody..well not EVERYBOdY but as far as that goes.

My Bro is Bi and his gay partner is cool as fuck. You wouldn't even know..and I wish he would get on here, he'd love it, he knows ALOT. They took me to a gay bar on my 21st and I got FUCKED up lol, I didn't wanna eat for like 3 days. It's was awesome(except for the transexual sittin next to the bathrooms) lol...yeah. But I was really messed up and they were having a show and the drag queen was talking to me and I was like I love gay people! And Everybody started cheering. Good times!

Somebody call Nine-one-Waaaaaaaaaahn
Ha.

On the gay thing, I might've said something on this before but...
Walking stereotypes annoy me, this applies to all groups, but the "scream it in your face" gay folks well, ought to be more secure with their lifestyle than to turn their lifestyle into something almost cartoonish.
Gay girls, as a guy, sure...I can see why girls are more attractive - though "dykes" kind of confuse me, I mean...if you wanna go for something that emulates a man, well, this to me just says you're more confused than anything.
Gay guys, not a perspective I share...but, as long as they respect your lifestyle as much as you do theirs, cool. Nothing more annoying than a gay guy that doesn't quite "get it", furthermore if you end up having a go at them because of this thwn you get labelled a homophobe - I guess the gay community have their share of insecure self centred pricks looking for a bullshit fight as well.

I don't have too many gay friends...I guess it's largely because we don't exactly move in the same circles? But generally speaking I'm cool with gay people, they don't freak me out or make me uncomfortable, as with most groups I find certain members annoying and confusing, but generally speaking don't pay them any more mind than whoever else might cross my path.

I think our cultural upbringing has more to do with this than anything else. The Hindu religion and society teaches us morals which has made most of us devout straight people, and pretty faithful husbands/wives. You won't find many divorce cases in India, and neither will you find many gay people.

Maybe that is why we are a race of intensely devoted romantics, who hold their passions and promises in their highest esteems, more than anything else. Straight practical thinking is out of the window most of the time.

Rarely will you find an Indian who is gay, more so an Indian female who is gay. More rare will be any Indian who comes out in the open with that fact. Maybe those who were, hid that fact well in the years of Indian history so far. It is a very, very taboo subject. The modern influx of Western thinking, however, has been influential in this. We have had some people coming out in the past 5-6 years. But still, it is a pretty taboo subject.

You never know, though. You might have a lot of people suffering in silence, not knowing that the option existed. You would think though that a religion that believes in reincarnation and pays homage to both a masculine and feminine principle would be very accepting of homosexuality because the soul has had a multitude of different experiences and has a manifold nature.

The Hindu religion and society teaches us morals which has made most of us devout straight people, and pretty faithful husbands/wives.

That really says it there, eh?
It's an upbringing/conditioning thing, for not only faithfulness, marriage and monogamy to be considered moral, but also ?straightness? etc.
It's very ingrained, the whole stigma of gayness being wrong.
Not commenting if this is bad or good, just saying that it's not likely to change until a few moulds are broken.
Religion, not big on change. The more religion, the more conformity to the common theme.
Don't get me wrong V, I don't consider you (or Indians in general) anti-gay or anything, just making an observation really.

The sex has pretty much always been legal in most US states. It's the marriage that's slowly becoming legal.

That's right kids, heartless cold sex with multiple partners is fine but god forbid being apart of a monogamous, loving, stable relationship!

kool thread. i happen to be bisexual. well at the moment im gay because i have a boyfriend whom im very much in love with. i also have a 4 year old daughter and being a young gay father is quite the different experience. i was married to a girl from age 18-24 then divorced and happened upon my boyfriend. i have no clue why being gay or bi is even strange or hard to understand anymore. its basic very basic in fact...its love

My sister had a close friend who outed herself and the only person who was surprised was her. I remember when she told me she was 'you are not going to believe this but................' my response was 'you didnt know already?' It didnt matter that people knew (or thought they knew) we were all quite happy to wait for her to admit it if and when she was ready. I think my sisters friend was quite surprised my sisters hadnt guessed!

Oh its a big difference...

It is because of lack of hormones that feminine gays are flamboyant. Nobody tries to be overly gay. There are lots of straight guys in the world too that youd never think were straight because of a lisp or an over use in hand gestures in conversation, etc etc. Gays dont force anything on you. It is called tolerance. Religious people are strung up with their inflated egos and truth be told, they dont know shit about what theyre trying to preach if they think the church is so strong on the stance against homosexuals. There is nothing in the bible that says its wrong to be gay. People are confused. What they think is an interpretation that homosexuality is wrong, is actually a story about why not sharing hospitality is wrong. That is why Sodom and Gomorrah was destroyed. Nobody showed hospitality. It would actually shock me to find some "Christian" toting wannabe that has actually read the bible word for word.

Not really no, but that said I don't really gravitate towards anybody who's over the top gay or straight.
Effeminate isn't really what I take issue to, if I did females wouldn't appeal to me so much...I just don't need "Hey I'm gay!!! written in flashing neon lights to know and or care, I find it a little uncomfortable to be around - As I would with anyone.
Comparison - A person who watches football vs A person who buys tickets to every game, rocking the colours and facepaint.
That's all it is for me really...just like I can watch porn, but in most cases I'd rather not be splashed by it.
Just the kind of guy I am, and the kind of people I tend to share my time with.

It is because of lack of hormones that feminine gays are flamboyant.
That certainly is an intelligent point.

Do you hate jews that wear little caps and have big bushy grey beards too?
Its not because theyre a walking stereotype that you have a problem with gays. Its because of your own insecurity in your masculinity.

I never said I hated anybody, did I?
(Though I'm surprised YOU would bring up ME attacking culture)
Nor did I say I had a problem with gays...?
Oh right, you're pissed because I called you ignorant over in your Hitler enthusiast friends thread...so, now you want to get back at me?
Play it like I'm some kind of bigot for preferring people that act refined and sensible rather than all in-your-face?
...riight...that's your plan? To call me out on that?
At least I won't try to back up my reasons with a bunch of utter bullshit and simply mention again, it's a preference based on the personality type I'd prefer to be in the company of myself.
You think that's to do with my Insecurity in my masculinity...
Do you actually buy into your own bullshit?
What other piece of inane cerealbox psychology will you come up with next?
Perhaps I have mother issues because I don't like every single female?
I must also have a deep seated resentment towards animals as I eat meat?
Nice way you've got of making yourself look less ignorant with more stupid fucking assumptions based on your complete lack of knowledge on subject matter.
You, are an idiot.

Yup, couple guys at my work have that vibe going on.
Just dudes. What's the difference? Oh? You like guys? Ok.
It doesn't have to be Earth shattering.
I mean if it's honestly how a person acts and they're not just trying to make a point with it I think it's ok for a gay (or straight for that matter) to conduct themselves in any way that they're comfortable with.
I myself do not "express" my sexuality, I just, am...but if people don't operate that way then I get that, this is because the human species varies greatly.
Though yeah in the more "extreme" cases, just because I find it a little odd, pointless, or annoying, doesn't mean anyone's got a right to tell someone how it ought to be. Preference, works both ways.
I can't say I am really fond of overly girly girls either, or drama queens of the male or female variety.

And one more thing. Regardless of whether or not you believe it your views of homosexuals is completely hypocritical. I dont know one gay guy that writes "IM GAY" in flashing neon lights so everybody can see it. I dont know one! And the same thing can be said about all the straight guys that talk about vag in front of everybody and think its okay, and post flyers of half naked women all over the world in public places, hold hands with their wives, and shit of the sort. This could be taken as offensive to somebody that does not like it, but because the majority of humans are straight, I guess that means we have to just put up with it right? You are bashing gays that would hold hands in public because you think thats queer. Thats what youre saying even if you dont understand it. You need to choose your words a little better because this is what you sound like. You also sound like somebody that gets angry when other people dont agree with you and resort to rage to try and get your point across. But newsflash people close down and refuse to listen to you when you get so uptight and pissy. I also dont need a psych degree to realize this about you, and nobody here does. You may aswell just write "Im a really angry person at the world" in flashing neon lights and get right up in my face with it.

Most of the gay men I know won't even talk to them.

Thats who they are. They arent doing anybody harm so with all due respect and not meaning to sound rude some people need to really grow up about it. Theyre gay, who cares? This is individualism. Its what makes each person unique. If you dont like them, okay, salute, but dont bash them for it. Thats just being an asshole. So whats the point?

I think some men are too hung up on being macho and makes them look like silly douche bags. But I am not going to call them straightees or whatever for it. They like men and that is a way of expressing that side of them. Like animals with mating rituals its like that with some gays. To some it is a means to attracting other gay men and letting them know im gay and im okay with it. They dont have to hide who they are because you dont like it and/or are offended by it. Flashing your asshole in a public place in somebodys face is offensive, talking with a lisp and limp hand gestures is not.

Being a man comes down to how honorable he is. You dont have to be Al Pacino to be a man.

Well okay but while I agree that its weird to say youre gay every five minutes in a conversation cheeba was talking about flamboyant gays being in your face about it simply because theyre flamboyant. Theres nothing in your face about being flamboyant. Thats just WHO they are. I have a little nephew hes 8 years old and I just know when he grows up that hes going to be gay because thats how flamboyant he is already. Im pretty sure he doesnt just choose to be that way either.

I mean really, saying you are offended by a flamboyant gay guy merely because hes flamboyant is like saying youre offended by a black guy that wears baggy jeans and talks with "yo yo yo" in every other sentence and uses a lazy english language. There is no difference between the two examples. Its a persons mannerisms that Cheebas "offended" by. Thats intolerance.

He's not saud he goes out beating up flamboyant or camp gays, he has just expressed a dislike. Who the hell are you to tell him what he can and can't like? as a matter of fact, your argument is based on the fact that people can't help of change how they think. Wow...smells of irony in here.

Not to mention your blatant bigotry nulling any chance you may have had of being taken seriously. You're criticizing his distain for a stereotype then you make a sweeping statement about Muslims mistreating women!

The fact that you even seem to deny that such a stereotype of gays exists only shows your own ignorance.

I don't think there's all that many basements to begin with.

Good point. I am a bad person (of course Im a little devil)

You know, I've had to deal with homophobes a lot, and they grind on my nerves after about 3 seconds.
My older brother isn't gay, but close enough that he gets shit, and I get to hear all of it.
The great part is, with a homophobe for a father, all 3 of his children support gays.
I'm just trying to figure out why they care so much.
If they think it's disgusting, then don't think about it.
If they say God is against it, by their own beliefs they aren't supposed to be the judge.
And if they are afraid of being hit on (sorry angra and the rest of you) just politely tell them to stop. If that doesn't work, be rude. That person is just retarded and can't take a direct hint. (Just like if anyone hit on someone of the opposite sex)
So all in all, if you don't agree with them, don't. Just don't be an ass hole.

honestly, I think homosexuality is a mental disorder. it's true that you can't choose who you love, but I guess paedophile's can't help loving children. I think for the most part gays and lesbians are awesome for the environment, the economy, and the human race. the last thing this planet needs is more fuck trophies... I fully support same sex adoption, so many children without homes anyone who opposes same sex adoption needs bullets to the face.

And I know exactly what you mean MD, it is something that goes against the basic instinct of survival and thus could be classified as a disorder negative one, quite the opposite in fact.
The Choice is whether you can be true to who you are or try to go with what society says you should be. being gay is a persons make up it should be accepted as being a facet of who they are, not all of the person- we all wear different hats at different times. I don't think i was too clear. You can't change or go against the grain because it causes sadness and unhappiness and at the end of the day, so long as you are true to yourself and happy with who you are, fuck everyone else. What others think, believe or judge is immaterial. They are not always in a position to judge. If you are happy with who you are then you are a more productive member of this great world.
Being gay is not a unique trait of humans in nature- it exists in animal societies in most of the great apes, and also dolphins-god i love those dolphins!
