Now That I've Lost You

My new collection of short horror stories NOW THAT I'VE LOST YOU is now available as a paperback or Kindle edition from Amazon. You can find out more at the Screaming Dreams website here.

"A man seeks a cure for his loneliness in the squalid back streets of Goa. A couple find solace in each other as the world comes apart at the seams. Sinister creatures besiege a small American town buried in fog. And as the dead rise from rent, yawning graves, a girl is holed up in a farmhouse with one of their own…

"In these nineteen tales of love and loss, sex and death, you will brave witches, warlocks and the living dead; traverse uncharted, hypnotic highways; and you will meet up with green-eyed losers who inhabit small spaces: whether it’s graveyards, old churches, or their own echoing heads."

A fantastic read. With it being short stories its great for bedtime reading or a quick read on the bus to work. Very descriptive, you can really see what the characters are seeing and imagine yourself there with them. Its not pushing to be anything its not. It doesn't try to be overly scary but it does have a fair bit of sex. Not overly descriptive but its there, which actually helps build some of the characters anx helps visualise their personalities.

I would definately recommend this book, it's light, interesting and keeps you reading on to see what the next story will be.

My favourites are; dead city blues and painting blind circles. And it wasnt easy to choose them as they all have their good bits.

Well worth the money and well worth the read. Will definately be revisting these spooky little tales again some time!

Hey Geek, thanks so much, I'm really pleased you enjoyed it!

Dead City Blues was the very last story I wrote for the collection, and Painting Blind Circles is definitely one I am proud of.

Anyway, thank so much for the great feedback -- I very much appreciate it. :)

I'm working on a novel called The Abhorred, but it's taking some time to get right. I do have another short story collection, published through Rainfall Books, called Black Mirrors. You can find out more here http://www.rainfallsite.com/BooksRecent.html Black Mirrors was actually written after Now That I've Lost You, but it ended up being my first published book.

Anyway, thanks so much for your interest! I do have a website, so you can check for updates there. http://www.pauledwardshorror.com/
