The Third-ament - Tournament of Part III Horror Films
Let's admit it, by the time a movie series/franchise reaches it's 3rd part (second sequel/prequel), most of it's creativity had gone down the drain. Except for some rare examples (Return of the Jedi, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, The Godfather III, etc.), most "Part III" films have generally disappointed over the years.
Same goes for our genre as well. We can literally count on our fingers the number of impressive part IIIs we have watched over the years of our watching countless horror films. When I had originally thought over this idea (credit goes to The Flayed One for the origin - he wanted to see a Tournament of Thirds some years back), I had discarded it simply because we didn't have enough quality horror part III films. My present research made me scrape out 133 part III horror films from the Internet barrels (IMDB, Horror Blogs, etc.), and for tournament purposes, I pruned it down further by ejecting 25 more (least watched and least favored), leaving us with 108 notable (here "notable" shouldn't necessarily mean wonderful/watchable/exciting) Part III horror films. We tee off with 4 films per match in the first Round. First match up in a few.

Although it's really campy and Pinhead is ridiculous in this one, i actually enjoy Hellraiser 3 and so i'm gonna vote for it.

I agree with Villain. My vote is for Hellraiser, too.

Hellraiser 3
I hope Son of Frankenstein will be included- even though there's no 3 in the title, it is indeed a part 3. Perhaps the very first part 3 film. |

I have not seen The Grudge 3
