Vampire Film Question.

What is the most recent film you have seen where someone dies/is killed from being bitten/attacked by a Vampire?

Quote:
What doesn't count:
1. The Victim becomes a Vampire.
2. The Victim returns from the dead with Vampire-Fu.
3. The Victim died along with 20 other extra's when Vlad McAwesome waved
his magic Vampire hand.
4. It was a trap.
5. The victim sacrificed their own life so the Vampire might live on.
6. You saw it in a porno.
7. It was used as a twist at the end of the film.
8. The Victim is also a Vampire and/or other supernatural creature.
My goal here is to determine when was the last time a Vampire actually attacked someone as a source of sustenance on a predatory level with intent to do harm. A young female friend of mine recently bought over about 5 films including the entire series of TRUE BLOOD to prove to me that Vampires do indeed still attack and kill people for food. Needless to say... no go... so I was wondering when was the last time that actually did happen in a film?

Off the top of my head the only one I can think of is Interview With the Vampire.

So that's one for 1993, any chance we can get one a little closer to this decade?

The only recent era vampire films I can think of are still between 10-15 years old.
John Carpenters "Vampires" (1998)
From Dusk Till Dawn ((1996)
Dracula 2000
"Priest" (2011) might fit some of your specifics but
Most of the modern vamp films are designed like teenage romance pictures and not for the horror crowd

That's the page I'm on, too...

In True Blood, Jessica kills the trucker because she thirsts human blood because she doesn't like the fake stuff, soooooooooo... You're wrong about True Blood.

Let the Right One In she kills humans for food.
