Children's Shows: Creepy Things

As a young girl growing up in the 70s, I was never allowed to watch anything even resembling a horror movie, but sometimes Satan's minions find their way onto pre-school programs. When I was growing up, the queen of horror had to be Lady Elaine Fairchilde from Mister Rogers' Neighborhood. Of all the weird things I remember seeing on Sesame Street during the 70s, the one that really stuck with me was the freaky, opera-singing orange.
While my children were in their Nick Jr. years, I always found the slurms from Eureka's Castle to be decidedly creepy (see Night Of The Creeps or Shivers to get an idea).

Lol!! I remember those, they were freaky indeed. I guess I was lucky, my Mom actually turned me on to horror in the 70's and I haven't been able to get enough ever since.

Speaking of kids shows, some of the Krofft Superstars shows were way out there as well, not so much scary as just plain out there. Loved 'em, lol.

Thought I'd look for old Sesame Street clips that were freaky.

That creepy opera singing orange I mentioned beforehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8TqOTe3ODc

Count to 12 with a bunch of rocks (ritual sacrifice?)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C2zuez3VK1U

Count to 10 with a scary floating facehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vVktxm3p7gI

I'll probably think of more.
