The Ashes
Something completley irrelevant to all of you, one of the biggest things in the world to me.
The Ashes is a series of test cricket matches between England and Australia. It's probably the most bitter rivalry in all international sport and it starts ina na hour. I'm pumped, I took the day off work to go watch the first days play at the pub.... So now you can say, what's cricket? ;)

My father & some of my uncles are regular & great fans of this legendary series. But for the last couple of years as the performance of England Cricket team somewhat in a noticeably downfall (I think they should have now more & regular series with BD cricket team...both will be benefited!:D ) I think the series lost bit of its heritage and glamor of itself. BUT as now the Cricket Australia is quite struggling to maintain their 'successes' with quite a new line of players so I think & hope this time it'll be a tight one.

Ah, the Ashes. It's funny, even the people who hate Cricket seem to love getting riled up about it. Let's hope we don't suck this year.

The last Ashes series in England (2005) was an absolute stunner so hoping this one will be as tightly contested. The less said about Australia's 2007 destruction job on England the better!
Wouldnt be surprised if this first test was drawn, Aussies currently 200 behind with 9 wickets left and we're probably going to lose day 4 to rain.
