Show us what you're made of

This is me playing the last half of John Petrucci's (Dream Theater) "Mystic Dream". A song that I stumbled across 2 days ago and was very inspired by the catchiness of the last half. So I decided to give it one helluva try. here's what came out of my 4 hours of hard work.

Now, the sound isn't that great and it may not sound of much. But i'm telling you, this shit was hard to play, coz the guy doesn't do anything simple and doesn't play many things twice.

So.. does any of you HDC musicians wanna share anything you're proud of, this is the thread to do so. ;)

cool, love the flange

I'm not as good a guitar player as you, but I do like to play and sing - check out my Buddy Holly cover (I recorded while on tour as Buddy in a musical) on my myspace page

Is it you singing on all the songs? If so you've got a pretty sweet vocal. ;)

Is it you playing all the instruments as well??

And which one is the Buddy Holly cover? I like "Sway" the best. Your voice (If it's yours) fits that song very very well.

I actually quite hate it. :D

Just haven't found a more fitting sound for that song yet.

thanks, yeah that's me singing

the Buddy Holly track is "Well Alright" and I play the acoustic guitar on that one. The rest of the songs are filled out by my old band

That's a pretty nice right hand you've got then. ;) I'm not as good with my right hand.

I liked your Well All Right and Sway the best. I think you'd have a pretty good vocal for jazzy songs. If you should ever swing that way. :)

So I was bored and happened to Google myself...turns out there's a video of my band on YouTube, doing a cover of Rage Against the Machine's Sleep Now in the Fire. I wasn't even aware this had been filmed, let alone posted online.

For the record, this was pretty much first real show and I had no idea how to front a rock band - hence why I look like a spastic fucking retard through most of the video. Still, it doesn't sound too bad IMO - if you play the video and either close your eyes or just watch the dude on guitar, it's not half bad :p

Cool to see you in action Return! Not bad at all.

Here's a couple of videos of my band, think you guys have seen 'em already but what the fuck check 'em out again :D

I was so hungover in this one I thought my head was going to explode haha!
We don't play the first song any more but it had a kinda cool Suicidals feel:

I like this video better:

I think there's some more clips but those ones you can kinda make out the tunes.
