Kill Bill Vol 1

I know this isn't horror but I figured this would be a good place to get some opinions on this movie. I have never seen this but I really enjoy Tarantino movies, could anyone tell me a little about it?

I love it.

It's alot flashier than his previous movies. More or less a homage to Asian cinema.

Two and a half hours of Tarantino trying to convince you how cool he is. One of the best dialogue writers in Hollywood making a movie with almost no dialogue. And anyone with the right crew and choreographer can make a karate fight look good---hell, they all look the same post-Matrix, anyway. And Tarantino doesn't know a subject from an object; he has a charcter say "whom" just becaue it sounds more inteligent, not because it's grammatically correct. It was in subtitles, though, and I bet it's cleaned up in the vid realease (like the dangling booms throughout the theatrical Sling Blade).

Michael Parks was funny, and I liked the Navajo Joe reference. The P-wagon was just trying waaaaay too hard. Stephen King had fun ripping the movie apart in his Entertainment Weekly article, which was more interesting than the movie.

I was soooo looking forward to Kill Bill, the Fango articles amde it look amazing and VERY gory! Pity that when I actually saw it all the gore is either cut around or is out altogether! But don't get me wrong I still really liked the movie but I think it had some incorrect marketing. It has some excellent sets, fights and music and Uma just oozes cool. Still looking forward to Vol. 2.

yeah i felt this movie was overrated. i mean granted it did have its moments but at the end of the day pulp fiction is lightyears better.

I thought Kill Bill was gory as hell for a movie of that genre. Not only that, the fight scenes are wicked. #2 will kick ass! I can't wait!

Wouldn't this go in the General forum instead of horror?

It was ok, I'm not really into action secret spy type movies. But Terrentino is a lovely director.
