What happened with Festered?
Just wondering...I know about some argument, didn't see anything though...was that all it was?
I have to say I'd be disappointed and worrying about things like new mods making bans on the basis of recommendations if so. That said, if there was something else and I'm completely out of line to question this, that's all good...if... Fill me in. Again, just not wanting a question mark over the incident. Save the "move along" comments as well - this can get deleted as soon as I get a reply if that's the course of action deemed neccessary.

I'm sure many people will have questions and that's understandable...This forum belongs to all of us and we all have a right to know what's going on here.
The current mods and new mods don't ban anyone based on requests or suggestions to ban...We take many things into consideration...If it becomes necessary to consider banning someone, we present the case and vote on it...We have 3 new mods now, that the forum members have placed their trust in, so they will be included in all decisions from here on out (even if Horror is dragging his feet on actually empowering them). This decision has been in the works for a few days, we finally voted on it this morning and implemented the proposed action...We took time to see if the situation would straighten itself out after a while, as that does happen occasionally...However, the fighting didn't stop, the complaints didn't stop, and nothing was improving...Each moderator is prepared to give their own reasons for making their decision. This is how it went: Moderator Decision to Ban Nella and Festered Based on: 1) Deliberate instigation 2) Flaming 3) Causing conflict and dissension 4) Disruption of the forum 5) Causing wide-spread negativity 6) Negative impact on overall forum morale 7) Intolerance and Disrespect of the majority 8) Exhibition of behavior that has elicited complaints from multiple, credible forum members over a consistent period of time. Voted on and passed: 5 to 1

well - i've often been one to question banning (hell my alter ego HIS_HERALD was banned for just being obnoxious) but in this case i have no disagreement.
it wasn't so much that they argued, it was that they wouldn't let anything go - and their petty personal feuds would spill into every thread. there were definitely times it felt like they were intentionally pushing their issues. so - for what its worth - i think it was the right choice
