As i have matured i have come to realize...
What are some things that you have came to realize??
1.)My parents were right, money really doesn't grow on trees. 2.)There is a reason why some people are in my past, they weren't good enough to make it to my future. 3.)A good friend is someone who will tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear. 4.)You lose people you love sooner than you think. 5.)Time really does fly right by us. 6.)Never say things to someone that you will regret,it might be the last words you speak to them. 7.)Take chances 8.)Never change for the person you love or expect them to change for you. 9)Love hard 10.)Forgive,its easier than carrying around a grudge. |

That's a really great list. All are worthy words to live by. The older I get the less I'm certain I know, so I can't contribute much to this thread.

My mother died at a pretty young age [57] ..she was a 2 pack a day smoker. She left me with this....."Don't sweat the little things".....well...basically.. so I don't as cliché as it is....life is too short...enjoy it...and I do :D |

Don't lie - less pressure to carry, less ammo for those that'd use it against you, less excuses to stop you and the person people think you are from being one and the same.
Being polite and eloquent is something that people do not expect, especially in this day and age - but do recognize the value in. Sugar coating things just makes the eventual truth that much more bitter. "You should learn to cook", best advice I have ever taken, or could ever give. Others liking you isn't as important as liking yourself - pursuit of the first can push you further from the latter.

1.) Self Control: Learning when you can do something and deciding not to 2.) It's important to love yourself first, then others wil lgrow to love you 3.) Be yourself, and never feel as if you have to change for your friends--if you do they probably shouldn't be your real friends 4.) You don't have to be a genious to make smart decisions 5.) Never be close-minded to anything. Some times change is for the better; if it wasn't we all would've never heard of the word: options I'll post more as I think of them
