Swiss Bank Account?
I cannot count the amount of times I've heard in movies/tv shows, about this phennomena - The Swiss Bank Account.
Seems in most cases it's associated with criminal practices, laundering/hiding money? So, anyone know what the deal is there? Why is this the case? What's good about a swiss bank account? Is it an interest thing? A law thing? A tax thing? what? Just always wondered.

Its mainly a tax thing. Most of the taxes your are charged are refunded if you're not a swiss citizen.

I was under the impression that it was a security thing. That there is a law that they have to keep whatever you put in there a secret. They talk about it in The DaVinci Code.
After a bit of research I found out they made this law so the nazi's couldn't go snooping in Jewish bank accounts. Kinda neat.
