Thinking, getting Disturbed.

I have a problem.
When i watch Psycological horror movies, they never really catch me.
Why?
Because i dont feel like i have time to think, basicly (i still dont know how to sp that :P) because, i can see the mistrust or isolation in The Thing, but i cant think all that underlying horror through while keeping up with the movie.
Only when the credits roll can i think it through, get a BIT disturbed, and then its over.
I dont know why i have this problem.
Am i supposed to think AFTER the movie? watch it several times? should i just pick a chocker? does any1 else have this problem?
Thanks.

You're fine. It's just a lethal condition. You'll die soon enough, no worries.

I think what you need to do, is LEARN HOW TO WATCH A MOVIE RIGHT.

Yes. Don't worry about thinking during a film, you are simply supposed to FEEL while watching. If you think, it's just a bonus.

You do not have a problem, you simply need to watch more films. The patterns will arise. Themes will become more familiar. Genres and cliches will define themselves.

And if the themes and ideas of a film linger with you or become more clear after the fact...that's a good thing. You are learning to analyze film. Keep it up, It gets easier.

And when you think about a film after the fact...watch it again. Films are meant to be revisited, that's the difference between films and plays.

fucking a like seriously? my all time favorite movies are the ones that make me think, thats what make them art....

The mindless gorefests, while i do enjoy a few, are really just a guilty pleasure for me.....

I guess multiple views would be my suggestion if you can only think about the films underlying themes AFTER you watch it....watch that shit over and over, good movies are worth it....
