Help with a TV-Series

Hey, could use some help with something that's been bugging me.. I remember a TV-series, think it's from the 90's (could be late 90's or early 2000's, not sure), that takes place in a hospital (at least I think it was a hospital), where the character somehow winds up, however there's noone there, nor are there any people in the city or something like that, it's like he's in another dimension. I don't remember if the series portrayed the "normal" dimension as well, where everything's as it should be for everyone else .. I thought it was something by Stephen King, but can't find anything similar from his works, and it's not Kingdom Hospital I'm thinking of...I know this isn't exactly much info, but it's all I can remember atm, if any of this rings a bell, please let me know :-)

// A confused horror/sci fi fan :D

stephen King's show was based on a danish program called "Riget" (or "The Kingdom") maybe that's the show your thinking of?
