Ok I know this will make no sense buuuuut
Jack Nicholson make me like movies I don't like. Something's Gotta give is a prefect example. I hated the writing and the romantic comedy of it but Jack Nicholson swayed my vote and I kinda liked it.

If you watch the original, imo you will like it! Just don't watch the stupid remake, as most of us hate remakes :D Yes its a good film, NOW watch it!
Edit: You honestly can't really listen to anyone because we all have different taste and thoughts, so if you want to know if it's good you will have to watch it! Heeerrrrrreeeeeee'sssssss Johnny!

I happened to like the remake. Acting was sorta crappy but it was scarier IMO because it was closer to the book. If you ever want to know what the book was like but don't want to read it (which I don't suggest but whatever) then watch the remake.
