Trying to figure out the name of a film

I once saw a fairly bad horror film and would like to revisit it. Unfortunately I don't know the name of the film. Here's what I do know:

It was on an orchard.
It had to do with apples or worms.
The apples or worms either mad you crazy or a zombie.
A football player gets turn and tries to kill the antagonist.

Any ideas?

That's definitely it. Unfortunately blockbuster online doesn't have it. Amazon.com does though.

Thanks a lot.
