Man Rips Out Woman's Eyeball
Man In Court Over Eye-Gouging Attack
Australia - A man appeared in court today accused of gouging out a woman's eye in a late night attack outside a Victorian country pub at the weekend. Jason Weidlich appeared in Kyneton Magistrates Court on 13 charges including recklessly causing serious injury, common law assault, making threats to kill and possession of a banned weapon. Mr Weidlich, 30, was arrested on Saturday morning shortly after the woman was attacked with an electric cattle prod and had her eyes gouged following an argument outside the Malmsbury Hotel, Malmsbury, 95km north west of Melbourne. Mr Weidlich was remanded in custody to appear in Bendigo Magistrates Court on August 1. One of the woman's eyes was ripped from its socket. The 28-year-old woman was recovering today after surgery at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in Melbourne. A hospital spokeswoman said the woman was in a stable condition but distraught. "It's too early to determine the long term outcome for her vision," spokeswoman Sonia Aplin said.

Ouch.
I'd like to have a fly on the wall before that happened, what could possibly been said or done to throw that guy so over the top? These things just don't happen in a vacuum. |
