Gospel of the Living Dead

Kim Paffenroth wrote the best-seller "Gospel of the Living Dead" last year, and now it's nominated for the Bram Stoker Award at the World Horror Convention in Toronto, Canada on Sat. March 31, 2007.

The Bram Stoker Award is a part of the Horror Writer's Association (HWA), this genre's oldest and most prestigious association whose members include Stephen King and Anne Rice! These members actually nominate this award to books which show "superior achievement," so the honor comes from the writer's peers, not critics or publishers.

"Gospel of the Living Dead" is a non-fiction book about connecting social and religious views with elements from the classic American horror and zombie genre. It's eerily fascinating and intellectually compelling, so read it and see if he wins on March 31!

i'm sorry dniwhatever - you are the most obnoxiously prolific spammer on this board these days - why no one has ranted about this earlier boggles my little simian mind. as for your (KIM) book, i loved the review i read recently which noted that there is NOT AN ORIGINAL IDEA in the whole thing and that every concept is lifted wholecloth out of other materials. that you won a stoker is probably indicative of a) what a wiley self-promoter you are and b) the lack of interesting materials in the non-fiction category (I MEAN FOR GOD'S SAKE - WHO CARES ABOUT NON-FICTION IN THE STOKERS ANYWAY - DOESN'T IT USUALLY GO TO SOME SELECTION OF INTERVIEWS OR WHATEVER)

so, please go polish your award and leave the board to people who are not shamelessly hawking their own crap
