The Man Who Laughs

Has anybody seen this? I've become really curious about it since seeing De Palma' s incendiary turd about the Black Dahlia murders, which references the film.

Ive been wanting too se it for some time myself, as it is supposedly a huge influence on one of my all-time favourite villains: The Joker.

Its on my Ziplist, so hopefully I'll see it pretty soon. I'll let you know if its any good:)

Thanks. As a serious Joker buff, I've been quite curious. I stupidly have not yet joined Netflix, so have to keep informed to avoid gambling on my dvd purchases.

I guess I cant speak for Netflix, but Ive been signed up for the Canadian equivalent for a few months now, and its worth every penny.

Trick...or troll?

Anyway I finally got around to seeing it...its good, but not really all that its cracked up to be. The opening is good and the ending is cool, but the story really falls flat in the middle. A great performance from Conrad Veidt and beatiful cinematography make it well worth watching, but dont expect anything on par with, say, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari.
