Asia Argento to Star in Dad's Horror Pic
Asia Argento to Star in Dad's Horror Pic
Source: Variety October 20, 2006 Asia Argento will topline her father Dario Argento's English-language horror film The Mother of Tears, billed as the third installment in the cult helmer's "Three Mothers" trilogy. Asia Argento, whose credits include Marie Antoinette and XXX, will play an American art student who unwittingly unleashes a plague of witches in Rome by opening an ancient urn. Shooting is set to start Oct. 30 in Rome, with plans to move after one week to Turin. Rounding out the cast are Udo Kier (Dogville), Massimo Sarchielli (Under the Tuscan Sun), and Philippe Leroy (The Bible). The screenplay is co-penned by U.S. screenwriter duo Jace Anderson and Adam Gierasch (Toolbox Murders) with Argento. The previous films in Argento's "Three Mothers" trilogy are Suspiria and Inferno. |

Oh my god, I'm so hyped up for this I feel almost sick.
Got to calm down, otherwise I'll end up making myself dissapointed when I get to see it. |

Reprising his role from Suspiria, perhaps?

1.) Finally. This has been a long time coming, and I can't wait to see it.
2.) Asia is possibly the sexiest woman ever born. Why are her credits in the article XXX and Marie Antoinette? Stendahl Syndrome or Demons II, maybe?

Finally...my collection of the 3 movies will be complete. Suspiria and Inferno were fantastic, I hope this 3rd one is upto their standards.

This is about the best news I've heard out of this section for some time now. It's good to hear Asia's in it, too. That man loves seeing godawful things done to his daughter, so the movie's guaranteed to be intense. If it's anywhere near as trippy and bizarre as the other two, it should be one of his best contributions yet.
