Help me find this movie! (Or at least its Title)

Ok... this is a long pathetic desparate shot in the dark.... but I remember this movie I saw late on cable... don't remember who's in it or the title, hopefully someone here might know..

Theres this guy who brings people/monsters to life by alchemy.. he carefully pours out a pile of several kinds of powder... like bone powder, blood bowder, various organ powders, etc. Then he pours this clear 'life giving' liquid on, and in an impressive show of special effects, a creature or person materializes from the pile. I remember a part where several "failed attempts" were sent floating down the river, still alive. I also remember him making a person who looked exactly like himself, an evil twin. I think the evil version kills the creator, putting his body parts in the fridge or something. Please.... if anyone knows what show/movie I'm rambling about let me know! Thanks.

Crabapple, you're a genius! Thank you Thank you!!

No DVD release. That's a huge bummer. But at least I know what I'm hunting for now. Thanks again!

That scene with the body parts flowing downstream caused a big stir.

Apparently a couple of the highly realistic props broke free from the wires they were using to manipulate them in the shot and floated away downstream. Someone found them and, quite understandably, thought they were real. This caused a lot of horrible commotions until it was confirmed that the "body parts" were in fact movie props.

HEY, thanks a lot for bringing this one up...I'm still trying to replace a lot of movies that I've 'lost' over the years, and I'm ALWAYS adding to the collection...But, I can't think of/remember all of the ones I still need...I REALLY needed this one, and because you mentioned it I checked eBay...They have quite a few of them (VHS) for less than $2, and some on DVD for a little more, too

You guys have NO idea how much you have helped me to build this collection over the years...I'd be lost without you :)

OH...I'm still waiting to get the Tox Box...I'm trying to pick it up for less than $20...It's at $27 right now....Shouldn't be too much longer :)
