Yep. Pretty much the same for me. However, I've known many people who swear they've had spooky events. That's what you get when you grow up in the Midwest during the 80's:rolleyes:

i tried to eat dinner on a ouija board once. but the damn plate kept sliding around by itself. i put a cup of coffee on the board and the coffee cup spelled out "c-r-e-a-m-p-l-e-a-s-e" and after that I pretty much had it so i threw the board in the fireplace and watched it burn and it made a sound like popcorn.

Little to early, although I did have a Commodore 64. Man, Temple of Aphshai was awesome, once it loaded on that cassette drive! (which took an hour)

LOL Yeah, i remember that cassette. Never figured out how it worked. I remember Blue Max, Hero, The forbidden forest, Hunchback, and some western shoot-out game to be my favorites.

Back in my student years, me and my other house mates did many, most of the time what or who ever was controling the movement, was spelling out incoherant words or sentences. A few times we did get some pretty detailed information out of it, based on recent or future events involving people who lived in the house.
The first time we tried it, I'm not afraid to admit I was shitting it. We'd all been out to the pub for the evening and around 15 of us came back to our house. Some bright spark started talking about wanting to do one, and it took about half hour to decide who wanted to be in. I was one of the six. We didn't have a board, but someone knew peices of paper would be just as good. So we tore up a sheet into 38 pieces, 26 for letters, 10 pieces for 0-9 and two pieces for 'yes' and 'no'. Placed them in a circle with yes & no in the middle on the table and got a clean glass tumbler. Sitting evenly around the table, in a dimly lit room, each with a finger on the tumbler, the nominated person who would do the talking started the first line..." If there is a spirit present, would they please enter the glass". He repeated this line 2/3 times. Then said " if there is a spirit present in the glass, would they please let us know" Nothing happened, the tumbler was glued to the table. This went on for a quite a while. Whilst the six of us were doing this, the other friends were in the same room, but weren't keeping quite, so we made them go out of the room. So we started again, The same guy doing the talking. He asked for a spirit to enter the glass, and Freaking Hell!! from that instance the room temperature dropped which must have been by several degrees. We wera all trying to contain oursleves and concentrate. A radiator on the wall behind me was still warm when I felt it, so there was definitely something in the room with us. The speaker guy, then asked the spirit to let us know if they were present in the glass. The friggin glass began to wobble slightly the started to move towards the piece of paper with 'yes' written on it. Fuck This I was thinking, I looked round at everyone and you could see some scared faces lol. He then asked the spirit if it was a friendly or horrible spirit, by asking it to move to either 'yes' or 'no'. Thankfully it moved to yes when asked if it was friendly. He then asked what the spirits name was, the tumbler moved around the circle of letters, and spelt out Majorie. What followed next was quite a lengthy session of questions and answers that went on for nearly an hour iirc. Most'ly related to past events, and a few future events ranging from relatives not seen for years and other family matters. The thing I found most bizzare, for a strange reason, was that the table we was doing this on had a patch of rough varnish near the middle, and when ever the tumbler tried to cross the circle of letters, the spirit would stop at the rough patch, reverse up a couple of centimetres and then go round it to the letter it was heading for. It never remembered the rough bit and did this every time. Strange for a spirit that seamed to know so much information about the people around the table. |
