John Carpenter didn't do the remake. It was written and directed by a new person I believe.

1. Calm down 2. Learn to type 3. Watch more than one movie by a certain director before commenting on his "style", so you dont look like a complete moron.

actually I can type and a hell of a lot better than you. sorry I lost my temper. just got a little pissed off. had a bad day. and i have seen a lot more than one of his movies. i just dont think that Halloween is where Rob Zombie should be going. don\'t get me wrong, I loved Devils rejects. but it was really gorry, and Halloween is not supposed to be about blood and gore. sure Micheal has supper human strength, but that doesn\'t mean you need to turn him into some sort of freak. I am into the more stalking, lurking style of horror films. not the bloody disgusting shit.

I don't think John Carpenter was even contacted about the FOG remake...this was one remake that really didn't remake the suspene or thrill of the original...I liked it because it explained the whole double cross the lepers story in some detail...I didn't like it because it wouldn't scare my 7 yo daughter.

Not only is that some awful grammer, but other than Halloween, Carpenter really hasn't done much that could be considered "slasher". Lets look at some of his films, shall we? Escape from New York? - Yep, that's definatly a slasher [/scarcasim] The Thing? - Sure, it has a pretty good body count, but slasher? Far from it. In the Mouth of Madness? - Until the end, hardly anyone even dies in this. No slasher this time. Starman? Memoirs of an Invisible Man? Big Trouble in Little China? - I think you must get my point by now. Other than Halloween, Christine is the closest that he's come to a slasher film. Admittedly, I havent seen a few of his more recent ones (Ghosts of Mars), but I'm certainly familiar enough with his work to not classify him as a slasher director. Quote:
When we get down to it though, I agree with you. I dont think Rob Zombie is right for Halloween either. Who knows though, he might surprise us.
