First one is the Ramones.

Covers I love:

MCR-Astro Zombies(the Misfits)
At the Drive-In-This Night Has Opened My Eyes(the Smiths)
Thursday-Ever Fallen In Love(Buzzcocks)
Thursday-NY Batteri(Sigur Ros)
Dustin Kensrue-Creep(Radiohead)

Tons of others also.

First of all you can't "emo up" anything, it's a music genre.

Second of all, EMO is a music genre.

Third of all, MCR isn't emo(they're pop, I know), quit listening to what MTV tells you and research the facts. Oh, and if you're going to retort with something stupid like, "You're a hypocrite, MCR are all over MTV!!!!11OMG." I'll get all elitist on your ass and inform you that they started out on an indie label, played in shitty basements, and lived out of a van for years before they got big, just how Pennywise probably did.

If this offended you or anyone else, I'm sincerely sorry, but it's not cool to bash other bands, it's rude and annoying.

Who did the original Summertime Blues? I have three versions on my Ipod, Blue Cheer, The Who, and Rush. There's probably others out there....who did it first?

Eddie Cochran. Although most people think The Who did it first :)
The Blue Cheer version kills! One of my favorite bands.

A buttload of people have done "Knocking on Heavens door".

Hendrix did tons of Dylan's songs. When it comes to covers. I think Bob Dylan has been "covered" the most.
