Bioshock

I just read PC Gamer's 8 page cover of this game yesterday, and i think it is the "next big thing" i am going to be over-excited about. It is being made by the same folks who made System Shock 1 and 2, and while i never played either, they apprently set the bar for scary games back in the late 90s.

The content of the game look sgreat (VERY original and creepy), and the game engine is nothing short of gorgeous. They apparently had 2 programmers who worked full timme for a year on the water alone. That is love.

The whole thing centers around a ww1 era underwater utopia that has essentially consumed itself with it's own experiments.

HL2 DeathMatch, Counter-Strike source, and on rare occasions, fear deathmatch.

System Shock were AMAZING horro fps games that not only brought new gameplay to the table but atmosphere. I remember playing that when I was younger, searching through a room for stuff and then turning around only to be face to face with an enemy. Great stuff. BioShock looks like it will be so much fun... can't decide whether to get it for my PC or 360.

Wait for MS Vista. you'll probably need a new PC to play it anyway, and vista will ship with Live. plus, the new OS ships with DirectX10 i think.
