Well, I'm pretty geeky about anything Halloween related. Their message board sort of covers all those things, Yard Haunts, Decorations, Spooky Places...so it's for, you know, the geek. I find myself wondering if Halloween the tradition doesn't appeal to a slightly older crowd...because it seems like the traditional way of doing the holiday has sort of become less popular over the years (I've seen very few trick or treaters in my neighborhood in the past ten years, and there used to be hordes and hordes of us in the streets back in the day!). So I am inclined to assume that the preservation of Halloween traditions sits with people who are older who did all those things way back when. ??

Yeah, I signed up over there and posted a story--and I notice YOU replied to it! Thanks! That haunted house was totally real, we built it way back when. I wish I had pictures of the haunted house itself...I think it was too dark to photograph, and my camera at the time had no flash.
