Dog Eats Old Woman, Investigators Say "It Was Just Being Sociable"
Dog Found 'Licking' Flesh Off Dying Woman
Tucson, Arizona - A dog that was removed from an assisted-living home after it was found licking flesh off an elderly woman's arm has been found suitable for adoption. Officials say an animal-behavior expert has thoroughly evaluated Cosita, a 1-year-old. Ninety-one-year-old Nina Borseth, died May 24, four days after Cosita (the dog) caused the wounds that a Pima County Medical Examiner's report said contributed to her death. Borseth's death was mainly due to Alzheimer's disease. The deputy chief medical examiner says Borseth's arm was bitten, but investigators with the Arizona Department of Health Services say Cosita just licked flesh off Borseth's arm. The dog was not considered a risk to residents of the Mountain Oak assisted-living home. Investigators say Cosita was likely licking Borseth's arm as a way of being sociable. http://www.azcentral.com/news/articl...mption-ON.html
