When Elvis said 'shit', he still meant 'good', and those others you had mentioned are just about as popular.

Romero's movies are not Italian, apart from some finance for Dawn of the Dead.

Knock knock!

City of the Living Dead

I'd avoid

Any of the Zombie sequels!

Ah.............I would like to nominate the red-headed stepchild of the zombie subgenre, "RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD PT. 2"....

The first one was fine, and a lot of people like it...for for some reason, the sequel is very unloved by many. I like it quite a bit, however.

Ken Myers who did many of the effects for the first film comes back, with a bunch more money and a big crew, delivering two big truckloads of cool zombie makeups and effects.

It's out on DVD. But the DVD is WORTHLESS! Because they totally replaced the score owing to a music rights issue.

Buy the VHS tapes! They have the original score, and in STEREO.
