Speak Up! Who Loves BIGFOOT Movies?

I think it's a good idea to bring this up because frankly there haven't been any Bigfoot movies lately, at least none that I can recall. In the past 10 or fifteen years I think the only ones have been Bigfoot comedies and such. As a mini-genre, Bigfoot movies stretch all the way back to the 50's. Or who knows, maybe farther back than that?

One of the posters here mentioned a number of Bigfoot movies here; in a generic sense, this discussion technically doesn't belong in the Modern Horror Films or Classic Horror Films sections, and since no one really talks about Bigfoot much, I thought I would pose the question of: BIGFOOT.

Bigfoot, Bigfoot!

What about Bigfoot, and how many people here like Bigfoot movies? I remember some of the scariest stuff on TV was often about Bigfoot, back in the day.

Happy to help. When I was growing up, there were lots of books in the stores about this kind of thing--people were aware that these man-like ape sort of creatures had been seen in various foresty areas. Generally not violent but SOMETIMES they were.

Anyway, watching a Bigfoot movie in TV was pretty scary, because it seemed like it could be real. It made you think: Lots of people have forests or mountains somewhere nearby.......are those things out there? Are they somewhere nearby? Maybe most of them are shy and reclusive, but what if a mean scary violent one was lurking around outside RIGHT NOW and so on? These movies would generally have these things smashing in through your window at night (you're in a cabin in the woods, so right off the bat there's no one nearby to help) or pounding on your front door for no reason...always the hulking shadowy form moving in the darkness. Like a really big bear. But NOT a bear!

I would love to see a GOOD Bigfoot movie.Unfortunatly there aren't any.As a matter of fact i just watched one a couple of weeks ago called Clawed, and it was pretty bad.

The last good Bigfoot was a comedy. And i speak of none other than "Harry & The Henderson's" 1987, starring as the bigfoot the late Kevin Peter Hall who at a towering 7'2", also brought to life the Predator.

edit:..i just noticed in this pic, what appears to be bigfoot's dick

Anyone seen "Shriek Of The Mutilated"?

Worst big-foot related movie ever. probably one of my least favorite horror films too.

At the risk of keeping this thread alive... I love you filmmaker, but I'm not into the whole Bigfoot thing. It just was never interesting for me. I mean, I'm eco-friendly as hell, but my initial response to seeing a giant ape in front of my car while driving through the Sierras would be to hit it and back up and hit it again. Reapeat until it runs away or is dead or me.
