Mr Hooper - 1st Post
Hello This is my 1st Post ....
and seeing as i took my username from TCM i thought it fitting to start with a question about the film/s. I was just wondering how people compare the films - who believes Hooper's TCM '74 is better than the '03 remake and vice versa?

I think you'll find that there aren't many people (above the age of 12:rolleyes: ) that would consider ANY remake to be better than the original...Except, perhaps 'The Fly' or 'The Thing'
Personally, I appreciate the fact that there are 2 of them...But, you can't beat the original Same goes for Psycho, Night Of The Living Dead, Dawn Of The Dead, War Of The Worlds, Amityville Horror, The Fog, Etcetera, Etcetera... Although...I would really like to see Rosemary's Baby redone... OH...And...

Yeah i know exactly how you feel, remakes are never a great idea. I hate to see great films 'slaughtered' by tacky remakes that lack the vision of the originals.
Is there anyone on the forum who just dislike both films? and how do people feel about comedic parodies that pay homage to certain films eg shaun of the Dead 2004?
