Can someone ID this movie???

Ive been searching and searching to find the name of a movie I saw way back when... It had to have been mid to late 80s. I was only like 8 years old (gotta love showing horror movies to young kids right?) so I remember very very little about it. In fact, I only remember 3 facts from the movie. Can someone identify this movie for me? Heres what I remember:

1) the main characters go out to the countryside or something, and find the frame of an old house or barn or something. All that is left is the bare bare frame, along with the front wall and door of this house. When they open the front door, however, and look inside, they see a fully intact house! Also, one of the crew walks behind the front wall of this house and is standing right in front of this door, but the people "outside" the house looking in cannot see him, all they see is this fully intact house.

2) after these people drive up, something scares them (probably that house) and they try to leave, but their car wont start. Another friend of theirs drives up later that day, and they run to the car yelling to him to not turn the car off (cuz it wont start back up). He cant hear them, and the doors to the car lock themselves so they cant open the doors to tell him to not turn the car off. Well after a few seconds, he turns the car off (ah geez).

3)Eventually they spend the night inside that frame of a house, and some kind of monsters or something outside is trying to get inside to kill em or something. I just remember that they do eventually spend the night in that house.

That is all I can remember about this movie. Does anyone know what this is? Thanks.

What you're describing is one of the episodes in the first season of "Star Trek: The Next Generation."

But I'm not sure which episode it is, so your only recourse is to buy the box set and watch them all, then come back and tell us which episode it was because I really want to know too.

Yeah, it was a holodeck episode....Data wanted to study the Evil Dead films of the 20th Century and they ran into a computer virus from a demon universe that wouldn't let them leave the simulation.

Hey, I'm sorry, we're just messing with you. I have no idea what that film you saw was. I've seen a few horror movies, and that one doesn't ring a bell. Sounds obscure though.
