Evil Dead: 1 or 2?

Which one do you guys like better:

Evil Dead or Evil Dead II?

Evil Dead II's much funnier, and Bruce with a chainsaw arm...ehhhhh it's good. But I have to say I like the original better.

How 'bout you?

Army of Darkness is funnier still (hilarious in parts, in a 3-Stooges kinda way) - I think Evil Dead is by far the most horrific, and the sequel is more a light hearted parody of the original.

2 is a remake of 1 with a bigger budget and more comedy.

3 is pure comedy

I definitely love all three films, these films along with others like: the Halloween Series (well not all of them) and the George A. Romero films are what made me want to be making horror films for aliving.

I would have to say though that Evil Dead II is my favorite of the three followed by the original and then Army of Darkness.

Just listen to this sentence and tell me what it means. I haven't seen Evil Dead II yet? Would you get the impression that i wanted to see it? Oh, well you couldn't have been dying to see it or else you would have already gone. So in your opinion would I definitely see it?
How the fuck should I know probably!
Why? Because it's a brilliant film, it's so funny, and the soundtrack kicks fucking ass!

I love all three. But Evil Dead 2 is one of my favorite films of all time. Hilarious with great gore, and I think it is Bruce Campbell at his best. Great fun and also very clever.

The pencil scene in the first one makes it my favorite of the series.

The scenes in Evil Dead II where his hand goes crazy with the pots and pans and also the whole hysteria scene where everyhting in the house is laughing to me are two of the best scenes of any movie.
