I don't know, I doubt they are as popular now as they were in their "heyday." When I was in high school (mid 90s) they were selling out the big clubs around town (as in, not quit auditoriums, but not your local watering hole either).

but to be honest, I never really liked em. sorry.

I got into em after I listened to "Land of the Free?", then I bought their other albums and said, "Gawrsh! These are exactly the same!" I didn't buy the new one, that band needs to think of a better message than "Fuck authority." That's what twelve year old kids say when they don't know anything about George W.

yeah...but they really can't change who they are at this point, musically....it is a little goofy that a bunch of guys in their late 30's....maybe even early 40's...are still fightin' the man in their songs...especially after they've reached moderate commercial success...but thats the type of music they make....you can have a melodic punk love song...but only one per album...if they weren't enjoying making albums and performing at this point...they wouldn't be...although i haven't bought one of their albums since 1995...and haven't seen em' live since probably 97...what they're doin' today deserves props no matter how old they are...

you also gotta think...when it comes to punk...metal...rap...whatever...there always crops of young fans comin' up...so bands like pennywise are bein' listened to, and seen...for the first time by some kid everyday...thats probably another driving force behind these bands...
