Movie "Easter Eggs"
These are those hidden features on DVD's that drive people crazy when they find it by accident, talk about it to friends and they look at you like you are insane.
Here's two to get ya started.... there are MANY MANY more... Dawn of the Dead (1978) original Theatrical Version Special Divimax Edition, region 1, although it may be on other regions as well. Go to the Extras section. Scroll down to the "Main Menu" option, and then press down one more time. This will highlight the zombie silhouette to the right of the screen. Press enter and it will play an interview with Chris Romero. and.. Theatrical Version Special Divimax Edition, region 1, although it may be on other regions as well. Go to the Audio Setup. Scroll down to the "Main Menu" option, and then press down one more time. This will highlight the zombie silhouette to the right of the screen. Press enter and it will play an interview with Tom Savini.

The Evil Dead (1982)
Select Extras, then when on the first page, click left, and you'll highlight a fish. Click enter to see a short effects film. and... Select Extras, then go to then second extras page. When on here select the top left picture of a skull to see a another short film.

The Chronicles of Riddick (2004)
On the DVD full screen version, choose "Fight" instead of "Convert". This will lead you to a menu that shows Riddick's knives on the surface of Crematorium. Press the left arrow key until the holes in the top of the knife are highlighted. This will lead you to a short sequence of the practice for the end battle scene between Riddick and the Lord Marshal. and.... Donnie Darko (2001) 1.) In the special features under the "Philosophy of Time Travel Book" in Appendix A, if you use a DVD-ROM and click on the circles in the middle of the drawing a deleted scene is shown. 2.) Go to the 'Special Features' and click on 'The Philosophy of Time Travel'. Go through the book's pages until you get to the skeleton with the arrow coming from it's chest. Press up and a solid black arrow within the arrow will appear. Press Enter and you will see a hidden trailer. 3.) In Appendix B of the "Philosophy of Time Travel" section, press up, and the arrow coming out of the body's chest will be highlighted. Press enter, and you'll get a different trailer for the movie. and.... Final Destination 2 (2003) To get extra footage go to beyond the movie and start at the top. Push down and left. You have to do this together. Sometimes it's easier pushing down and quickly pushing left. The microwave should light up with a picture of lighting. You will be able to see screen tests of all the new main characters.

if you search on 'easter egg dvd' you'll find a few good sites that specialize in these things .. they list all of them.
they started with windows software .. there isnt a single office package without an easter egg but they are way harder to find .. some included small doom levels, flight simulator, etc .. tons of hidden code. |
